They won several awards for the revamped video
If I'm not mistaken there is a 10 year difference between the original and revamped. I would say he figured out what he could really do with his voice in that time.
A re-invention of himself. Most are too afraid or to limited to try such a thing. I can think of two artists that have done so multiple times: David Bowie and Madonna.
Check out falling in reverse alone that is probably the most prominent song where he started adding rap into falling in reverse. Ronnie hi sled has always rapped and been into rap and hip hop
G'day Uncle Bill! Dude! YES! Fun and fantastic. Sean Rooney, an Irish musician, assisted Ronnie with the piano parts in Reimagined and Revamped - with a bit of Beethoven (like in the first video's guitar solo!). Love the tragic vampire romance, Anne Rice, vibes in the second video. I think it's like a toy or a tool - if you've got it, you wanna use it - so glad Ronnie chose to use his voice this way too!.... and his house and real-life girlfriend, Saraya Paige, in the video. Ethan Lader director again - so cinematic!.. and Ronnie using the "tenor's claw" at the end, and hitting that tenor note!

The video does a very neat trick, storyline-wise. It makes the story twice as long as the video itself. First, from the perspective of her as a thrall, and then from the perspective of the newly embraced/changed vampire Saraya, reliving her memories before making the final choice to go where he went. Leave the same way he did.
Ah! Ok, I don't follow wrestling (at least not since the days of Hulk Hogan and Capt. Lou Albano) so I didn't recognize her. Yes, the perfect thrall!🤘🤘

Ronnie started listening and loving Rap music when he was a kid and Eminem was a big influence for him in his teens so I think he was always a rapper in a sense. If you are looking for another fun older video I really think you will like "Fuck You and All Your Friends" it's 10 yrs old & it's a Banger! 🔥and Chemical Prisoner is another good one - his dad is in that video - one of the bikers.

I have been a big fan of FIR since they started, their older music helped me through my teenagehood and have a special place in my heart. ❤️ They definitely had rap in some of their songs but not to the same extent as now. ☺️
I just got into FIR, and this was my first time seeing the revamped version. Holy (nooo) I'm tearing up. This shit always makes me cry. Hugs from Sweden.
The first time I heard the revamped version it blew my mind. From the time the choir came in until the end I get chills every time. I listen to the original as well. Great reaction. I probably watched it at least 5 times before I picked up any of the humor in it. The mother effer I’m a vampire part is fantastic 😂
So glad I did them back to back! They each have their attributes like, I love the guitar solo in the original and the shear fun of it with all the characters in 'rehab'. 🤘🤘

Jon Bon Jovi actually had real troubles with his voice on one of their first tours. The label drove them to (or maybe over their limits) with an insane touring schedule and Jon wasn't allowed to speak at all during the day and took cortisone in order to be able to sing on stage. This must make touring even more lonely and stressful for a young, newly successful person.
When Ronnie recorded this song (and the whole first album) he was freshly out of prison and couldn't sing aloud for over 2 years. He said he was really struggling to sing normally. Plus he is constantly working on his art (and also personally to become better all around).

I looove that U totally get the humor in the first video/ original version , not many reactors do. PPl still yell "hii Ronnie " when does the old version live. Always been a good rapper , hes a big fan off Eminem . U should def check out Ronnies mix tape. Ronnie is a musical genious in my oppinion. Funny thing i was looking up Floor Jansen from Nightwish her second band which was called Revamp and came across this song and after watching fell in love with the music Falling in Reverse. Fate has a funny way of pulling you into different directions but i'm glad.
Lol rhe first one could have been a MTV hit back in day 😂. But it came out in 2011 Revamped was released and 2021. Ronnie has never had singing lessons that I know of. If artist stay in the same lane they get stagnant. A true artist must evolve. Great Reaction and Merry Christmas ❤

I love watching peoples reaction when they do these back to back, it's like you said Ronnie has improved and evolved and this really brings that home. He's been rapping for awhile now, I think 2nd or 3rd album maybe? He caught some hate for switching his style up and was basically like yo, I grew up on Eminem, and he addresses it in some of his songs. I think he's definitely refined both his rapping and vocals over the years and really found his niche. And now he's basically created his own genre lol

Ronnie does work hard on his vocals. On the other half JBJ did not take care of his vocals. He sounds horrible. Dont get me wrong i was obsessed with JBJ way back in the 80's but hes a shell of his former self. Also Alone by FIR is a banger where he started really mixing genres(2013)
