@michaozga7825 well I went with a asus zephyrus m16 but had bad luck and had a power issue so I ended up getting my money back and got a legion 5i 4070 desktop and am happy with my move.

Thanks for the comprehensive unboxing and review. I'm just 30 minutes into it, but wanted to comment on the build before it slips my mind. You said the chassis is primarily plastic. Several other videos that I watched said it was a magnesium composite build, or something along those lines. The lid feels like metal to me, but the rest does feel like a high-quality plastic. Being that I don't know how magnesium should feel to the touch, I'm not sure what information is correct. EDIT: If you handle the laptop after it's been off for a while, the entire chassis feels very cool to the touch. I know believe that the lid is made out of aluminum, and the rest of the chassis is made out of magnesium.
The upper chassis is metal but it feels like plastic, the backplate is plastic. This is why I don’t like ROG build quality, it feels like plastic even when they’re using metal. Whereas in something like a Lenovo Legion, you can tell it’s solid metal.
@@jivewig The lid is aluminum, and the upper chassis is a coated magnesium alloy. The coating is what creates the somewhat plastic feel, but it also makes it a bit less of a fingerprint magnet, and probably makes it more durable. So, pros and cons.
It happens I'm not gonna say it's normal because some laptops are ok working on 95 Celsius and idk if this ones ok with it... But make sure you have some airflow under the laptop for cooler performance!
which one wil you recomend the scar 16 4090 or the zephyrus 4090 i really dont know wich one to order at this point for me its just for gaming when ti travel so wich one do you think will be best
the 4090 version is an amazing performance for a laptop though. they were actually extremely smart pairing the lesser i9-39000H instead of the hx because in turbo mode, other laptops with the hx /40 series pairing tend to take a break in turbo mode, resulting in weakened performance, while for some reason the added need for power really gets the extra "uhmph" out of intel i9-39000h cpu's. This is a problem intel needs to fix with the HX

Hey! I have the same issue. The more I read thru reviews and forums- it’s a huge issue. It looks to be a motherboard issue. If you also use the USBC(rightport) you may also face an issue of it not working entirely. Solution I’ve found so far was to disconnect the battery for a few mins to reset.
I've seen a razer blade 4080 used with less than 10 charge cycless 2,600, but it has the ips. The zephyrus m16 with the 4090 and the miniled is 3300. Another option is the blade 4070 new. Which one u recommend?
Can you start including a backlight bleed test and a wifi card cheap and speed test? Alot of asus laptops have started including mediatek wifi card which is very bad quality with many issues, also backlight bleed has been very bad this year
After watching this one you did indeed, but benchmarking the download/upload speed would be a good idea, i returned several laptops over the last few years that had mediatek wifi cards due to performance issues. \ The Zephyrus G14 2023 4060 model i tested actually had the antenna soldered onto the wifi board which was completely unexpected. @@GizmoSlipTech

I bought this Excellent Open box for 1450. The. 5 hours later it goes on the Salem the price is 1450 and the open box excellent is 1000 😭😭😭 I try to cancel but can't smfh. Best buy also wouldn't refund the difference. So I was going to return and buy again, then they used the excellent open box to 1200 and it sold out rip. I'm so unlucky lol
3rd fan pretty much useless. Bad CPU temps still, just like previous year with 2 fans. Literally 0 difference with the additional fan. As useless as it gets.
The 3rd fan is mainly for the GPU not the CPU and to keep the WASD keys cool also the laptop is pulling 120 watts on the CPU which isn't a thing with the other thin 16" gaming laptops on the market which only do around 80 watts
I got it 2 days ago for the equivalent of 4900$ (yes, the 4070 version) Before you say it's a bad deal, my country has a very high import tax , especially on electronics For example, an iphone 15 pro max is about 4500-5000$ So you could say i got the laptop for the price of an iphone

Has anyone tried undervolting and overclocking the RTC 4070 in this model? I was really hoping that would have been trialed during these tests.

The Scar provides more power for the GPU and CPU, thats why it`s size is a bit bigger - it`s airflow extensions are behind the monitor.
I am considering this laptop for my university and a little bit of gaming I just hope it can get lowered for a price in best buy especially in Canada.
The performance is not much outstanding. However, the temperatures are really good for a gaming laptop. Asus did a good job here ngl

I got an open box from bestbuy as well for around 1450. After a week I returned it and got a bramd new for 1500, just paid the difference.

Yup. I upgraded my RAM to 64GB of ddr5 5600MHz. Although, the laptop will only max out at 5200MHz.
