She tragically passed away from AIDS in 2001 only a few years after Prince of Egypt won the Oscar for “best original song” with “when you believe”. She was truly one of a kind
I remember when that occurred. I have been a fan for a long time. It was absolutely heartbreaking.

Who died
@@preciouspayne723 Ofra Haza
@MiSha-uj9zb man i thought she was alive still... damn.... rip
It sounds even better in her Hebrew version. her "Hoshiana" is sooooo good
Thank you so much for listening to it in Hebrew and praising it.
Ofra Haza was such sublime vocalist. Transportive! Great presentation.
I watch this movie quite often as a kid. When I was in college “When You Believe “popped in my head as a potential duet for my senior recital. I hadn’t seen the movie at that time for several years so I re-watched it. After having studied music for four years I was blown away by the score. It’s one of the most beautiful scores in an animated film I’ve ever heard
Let’s not forget that Hans Zimmer composed the music and that Ofra Haza sang.
? Did Hanz Zimmer have Ofra's talent? No.
@@S308. i completely forgot about this comment and why I posted it. She must have said only one of their names, that’s why I said what I said.
I cant even imagine how hard it would be for a mother to give up her child
Dreamworks chose to release and absolute banger for their first animated film
That first “deliver us”…hits you hard. Powerful
This was recommended out the blue to me but I’m glad I watched it you have some excellent insights that never occurred to a casual music like me. However this is the best animated musical of all time and it’s not close imo
One of my all time favourite movies and soundtrack ❤
Great movie with great music.
That movie's just awesome and the soundtrack 🥰 I'm not really in the loop, but I remember it was meant to be turned into a musical show, I vhope they still do that, this wonderful score and OST is just packed chock full with songs that would be perfect for that ❣
They did turn it into a stage musical!! It’s pretty interesting- it takes a minute to warm up to, but I’ve come to adore it!! I think “All I Ever Wanted” is probably the best musical song that they adapted from the movie (they extended it and it’s delightful!!) Deliver Us is very well done too, and The Plagues was changed a bit but is very good!! I’d definitely recommend giving the entire thing a listen!
Correction - in 17 besides English; of 6 different language families.
I may have missed it while searching your previous videos, but have you reviewed ‘Wish Me Luck’ by Ofra Haza? That’s my favorite song of hers.
so cool man
lissen to the verion of when you belive thats sung by the actresses its faaar supirior!!!!!
Ophra Haza died because her business husband contracted HIV and gave it to her....we were so sad to discover it years after....wonderful girl.
she smiles alot through those hard moments where they suffer but i think its just a reflex from the botox
Moses’s mother does not get enough. Only objection to the Bible
You're becoming the Ofra Haza channel. Your videos used to be interesting and informative. Now there's nothing to come for if you're not a fan of Ofra. I've never heard of her, and I can't sit through any videos you make of her because she's not my cup of tea.
You don't have to watch her Ofra Haza videos, no one is forcing you to do that. Her videos are very informative because she explains Middle Eastern singing, and if you're not interested in that then watch something else, she has covered many other artists and different genres (it's funny how you clearly have missed that)
You don't necessarily have to be a fan of middle eastern music or that style of singing to appreciate the purity of her voice.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Her videos are not made for you. Go watch something else if you don’t like Ofra.
No bitches?
