I’m not exactly sure how to say this, and really I’m reaching out because it would mean the world to her...but my mom’s breast cancer has come back after a long 12 years and words from you and your music have always put a smile on her face. She is my inspiration and my will, seeing her right now in the hospital pains me so much that I can’t stand it, and because I love her so much it hurts right now. I’m really not sure if you even manage this page or not or if you’ll see this through all the other fan messages, but if you do...even speaking on the phone with you would bless her heart so much. I only ask because one of her best qualities is her smile and seeing that would make our whole family so happy. She is your number one fan and for the longest time I’ve seen her jump at the chance to see you live performing or even go and relax while doing yoga at red rocks with you as the host. I see that her lifestyle lives on the same way it does in you. I just turned 47 in late June, a few weeks ago. I was married 18 years, had 4 kids with her. She divorced me 3.5 years ago, utterly wrecked my family, broke what we had completely apart and my heart into a thousand pieces. It’s been 3.5 years since she turned my world upside down, and just a few weeks ago, on my birthday, after nearly 4 years of hell after divorce and just starting to settle in with the reality that I’m nearly 50 wirh 4 young children, a mountain of monthly child support, and first time in my life I started to think I might actually be suffering from a form of depressive sadness, in walks the love of my life, the absolute girl of my dreams. First time I heard this song was today after my new gf showed it to me. Life is brutal. But life is also wonderful at times. This is a good song and it made my day a little brighter today.
