I was working security in Donnelly idaho where he played for a music festival and I had never previously heard of him. The performance moved me to tears. First of all, he is a giant human being and he walked all around the audience showing love and hugging everybody while singing, and he was head and shoulders above the tallest person in the audience, and everywhere I looked I saw people crying, it was so powerful I had never seen that before or since. Micheal franti you have a forever fan in me since then
I saw him in Jersey over a decade ago (wow it's been that long already?) and absolutely EVERYONE in the festival was moving to his beats. Would love to see him again some day, if only to feel that energy he gave up and pumped into everyone

It's almost 2 years to the date that you released this song and you might as well have released this song on this very day. (the day after yet another school massacre - Santa Fe, Texas). But thank you again, because as I turn to your music yet again, and this song today, to remind me to cherish the days I've been given. Because each wondrous day is not promised. I am grateful for each new sunrise...and today, I was awake to hear the birds chirping at 5am. I don't know why, but it filled me with so much emotion, of being aware of how life and nature is there for us each day, and to be oh so grateful for it. I struggle with depression, so these moments mean more to me than you'll ever know. Again, thank you for this song, and all of your music.

I think the one that hit me the hardest for me, was the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre in CT. I live in Massachusetts, that's why. I cried 😢 & sobbed, like a baby for those 20 BABIES, who were murdered that day...my baby girl was only 7 when that happened & I can't even imagine the intensity of the pain of their loss!! The young man had murdered his mother before walking into that school, with THREE MILITARY GRADE ASSAULT RIFLES, all of which were used. (He had 2 pistols as well, that were not used. Then shot himself after killing those 20 babies & 6 teachers. Just another devastating, SENSELESS tragedy 🥺😢
