Hope this also fixes the nasty CarPlay GPS bug. All GPS apps are unusable in CarPlay despite location settings set to precise. GPS is precise when disconnected from CarPlay
I don't know how Apple manages to put iOS through months of beta only to finally release it with bugs and fix them just a few days later! What’s the whole point then? 🤦🏾♂️
i have the same question about that because it very strange that it’s realize that the updates and updates are in beta during whole of months but when it’s official, we still have bug

It’s a pretty recent phenomenon, it started with iOS 16 and so on.
iOS is very messy these days, I think it’s time for a big overhaul from UI to system side.
Tim, if you see this, it’s time to Cook.
I guess Apple just didn’t notice it was there
Its possible the bug was so rare that no one noticed it with the smaller sample sizes in a beta. Its likely that it required a full rollout with tens of millions of people installing it for anyone to actually experience the glitch and also notice it.
It's an insanely difficult thing to catch in beta testing when it only shows up on a super rare basis

Yay my alarm and ringer volume issues have FINALLY been fixed! 🎉
And mine got worse. Now attention aware doesn’t work on my iPhone 13.
From 17.3 to 17.4 the battery life on my new iPhone 13 has gotten absolutely terrible. And I heard 17.5 was even worse than that… I won’t be updating unfortunately
Battery life is much better after updating to 17.5 in my case. Previously, it was 15% per hour in idle, and now it operates like it did during the first few months. I thought, It couldn't get any worse! :D so I updated it and now it works well.

My 15 Pro Max sometimes just stars overheating like CRAZY out of nowhere even though I’m not really doing anything, just sitting on social media with no background apps open. It just stars overheating really fast out of nowhere for no apparent reason. This has happened twice since the 17.5 update and I had to turn off my phone and put it on the fridge! It got REAAALLY hot and for what? Posting a comment on Tik Tok and scrolling through Instagram? Is anyone else having this issue?

Do you know why the Apple Watch no longer detects gym equipment or outdoor running tracks since the latest 10.5 update?
I think the option was turn off by default. You can go to the settings of the specific workout on the watch and activate the option. I read that it was the solution if I’m not wrong though.

Apple really needs to get their ship together, there’s the standby issue, there’s the volume issue, there’s the Wi-Fi issue, the pictures coming back out of nowhere issue, plus the alarm issue, what is up with Apple and 17?

@@ianpobanz12 some people are having their volume go all the way down to zero even though it’s showing a higher level, this has been a problem that people have been talking about for a long time and just like the other issues not everybody’s experiencing them, just like there are some people that aren’t having a standby issue and yet it’s all over the Internet
mine was even though I turn my volume all the way down yet when I check it again the volume still on with a very low (sometimes still high) volume this happen when using control center
The standby is so frustrating because it should be an easy fix
On every iOS17 device I've checked, whenever you have media volume raised and you try to slightly turn it down to minimum by one quick slide down gesture, volume bar reflects and jumps to some random value
The only issue I have been noticing is after updating to iPadOS 17.5, bluetooth would randomly become "unavailable" and disconnect from my headphones. Go back into settings and bluetooth is "unclickable" and says unavailable. Only way to fix is to reboot. Hoping 17.5.1 will fix this, as it's happening somewhat regularly (3x in the last 12 hours).
Attention aware feature not working either on iOS 17.5 or 17.5.1 on iPhone 14 Pro. Alarms, calls etc won’t lower the ring volume once you look at the screen as it used to on previous iOS versions.

It's amazing how people were twisting information to make it sound like it was more problematic than it actually is. There were so many people claiming it happened to them with other devices or devices they sold and so on, but we need to remember this is the internet, and many people are spiteful, and they will invent lies and twist the context for any extra virtual points they can get.

Very confused on why people care if images you deleted appeared again like just delete them I don’t know if it happened to me didn’t bother checking cause I don’t care and also none of our photos and videos are being saved in files I checked mine and don’t see any of my pictures from photos app in their so not sure what your meaning.
My deleted photos that showed up were never in my files app.

I had a similar problem where when I would add a photo I found on internet by holding it and pressing « add to gallery » it sometimes would not add it and would only appear after an iOS update ! It is mostly with heavy pictures (over 50Mb)…
Maybe it is another re-indexing issue but if you have a solution that could help me not having to wait for an ios update to see the photos I downloaded I would be glad !

Instead I lost few videos from my photos app and I cannot see them in the recently deleted album. It’s definitely less than 30 days whle those videos are gone. Is there any way I can get those deleted videos back?

The title says “everyone is wrong” and then the video just says “some people” are wrong. If photos reapear after being deleted then it is a privacy concern, even if its just a bug rather than foul play. Its sounds like the reindexing just bought the problem to light rather than being the cause of the problem.
Everyone on UA-cam is wrong. Nobody explained this.
Finally! Since iPadOS 17.3.1 battery started to drain faster and faster. Hope itll be solved

My ipad is now having issues. YT never plays. Just a black screen. Internet doesn’t connect despite connected to router. Will not allow assess account, just clicks and times out
I even had a bunch of strange grey photos appear after the IOS 17.5 update which were seemingly corrupted as they had no names and had no size.
@BrandonButch Did you not experience the notification bug ? The notifications in the notification centre kinda slide off the screen and you cant even clear it unless you clear all notifications? or is it just me ?

Battery life is so garbage on 17.5.1
After this update my attention aware doesn’t work anymore. When I look at my phone, the ringer and alarms stay so loud. Any idea when they’ll fix this? I went from 17.4.? to 17.5.1. Thank you.
Since that update my iPad(10th. gen) tends to crash a while after opening apps after plugging in an USB stick and using data/media from it.

Could 17.5 cause an iPad to not want to turn on? Just flash the apple logo? I got it to turn on after trying to hard reset it a few times. I’m updating to 17.5.1 hopefully that fixes it.

After updating i have major wifi issue's its not working anymore on my iphone 13 mini... very annoying pffff

How about mac os 14.5? I have been experiencing crash and auto restart. Specially after waking up from sleep mode
When to apple store today and turns out my iPad motherboard is on its way out it had nothing to do with the iOS 17.5.1

Thanks for the quick update after this iOS release. In my case, never have I saved photos in Files. So this is not the cause in my case. Checked and verified.
Since I updated to 17.5 my app library was all over the place all my apps were sorted to the “Other” category. Now with this 17.5.1 update the problem was fixed and my apps are organized as usual. Just thought i will mention it in case anyone had the same problem.
My phone has been glitching and I haven’t even updated yet and I was playing cod

I had a photo bug, but it wasn't deleted photos reappearing. I had 7 RAW images I took back in October that all the sudden decided they were taken recently and moved to the front of my recent photos. I took other photos that weren't RAW that day, and those were unchanged.
So basically you are saying that these articles and stories that appeared on Mac rumors and other websites isn’t true?
The story about it being sold and popping up on a reset device was untrue.

This update still hasn’t fixed my Apple Music saying I’ve paused music in my control centre and draining my battery when I haven’t played music… any advise anyone?? At this rate I’ll just delete the app until they fix it
So, do they really store the photos and videos twice in two different locations: in the files app AND in the photos app? This would double the memory consumption for photos and videos on the device. Or is the photo app only storing references to the photos and videos in the files app? This would make totally sense concerning memory consumption and database corruption. And btw when syncing the photos and videos to the iCloud which source would be used: the files app or the photos app? And what about the device's backup in the iCloud? Doesn't this all lead to the conclusion that deleted photos where sent to the iCloud nevertheless?
I also own an Android and I think yes, they do store another copy in your files and it's stored in a hidden folder named ".thumbnail" [you can show hidden folders in the File Manager settings app] which is usually located inside the folder where the photos/videos are stored but they are of low quality but still recognizable (that consumes less than an mb) and it should also be deleted when the original photo/video is deleted.
This is still a privacy concern though, I don't know why these apple fans keep on defending the wrongdoings of this company
No issues here on my IPhone or IPad. Just waiting for 18 to come out next month.
