Modify PVC pipes and drainage hoses to make a hydroponics kit that can circulate water.

A pump sends water to the upper processed PVC pipe, and the water flows down to the middle and lower PVC pipes by gravity, and finally reaches the water storage tank, where it is circulated to the upper PVC pipe again.
In order to plant lettuce seedlings directly, and to prevent the circulating water from leaking, the PVC pipe is processed.
In order to cut the PVC pipe according to the length of the wall, we marked the cut surface. It was difficult to draw a straight line because of its cylindrical shape, so we used a piece of paper large enough to wrap the PVC pipe and marked it, then cut it using a pipe saw.
It can be cut with a wood saw, but a pipe saw is definitely easier.
Next, make a hole in the PVC pipe end cap for the drainage part where the socket will go, and connect the socket to the laundry drainage hose from both sides of the hole.
If the hole is on the upper side, the water level will rise, and if the hole is on the lower side, the water level will fall, so adjust the position of the hole according to the desired water level.
Next, use a hole saw to make holes in the PVC pipe for planting, and you may decide the distance between the holes according to the length of the roots of the lettuce or tomato seedlings.
In this case, the length of the roots was about 30 cm.
If you drill holes for planting at a pitch shorter than the length of the roots, it may cause problems such as tangling with neighboring roots, so drill holes at a generous interval.
After assembling the parts, caulk the joints with modified silicon to prevent water leakage.
If you are concerned about the appearance, you can use masking tape to protect the area while caulking, and remove the masking tape when the area is half-dried for a better appearance.
After the silicone has dried, set the PVC pipe on the scaffolding pipe stand that you made last time.
