Never thought I'd see a demon hit a dragon with a Stone Cold Stunner but here we are. They really gave us an episode that was just fun as hell, pun intended.
“If I had a nickel for every time Legend of Vox Machina subjected a dragon to extreme unconventional problem solving methods I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.”
How I first heard him. So when I first watched LOVM I was like, "why does he sound familar...." Then I switched his accent to German and ding. And then he played Caleb Widogast. :)
You hit the nail on the head that this is the episode you show to people you are trying to convince to watch the whole series. That Stunner was the most fun moment in the entire series
When I first saw the kaiju fight all I could think of was your two's reaction. This episode was insane. And from what I read those two did fight in the campaign. Scanlan basically charmed the demon to fight the dragon. And Mercer had to act it out.
4:49 I like how Vorugal calls people but animal names. He probably doesn’t even know what a halfling or a dwarf is even called but he knows they’re like the rabbits of the fleshy bipedal things 😂
That fight was epic. It looked great. In the campaign, the dragon Raishan helped as well. Wish they kept that in the show because it lead to a funny moment with Vax but it still looked great. Enjoyed your reaction to it.
Yes this stuff happend! Little different though cause they summoned the demon through a Gate scroll to fight the dragon. Specificly this one because he had the Spire of Conflux in his gut (Keyleth's Vestige). So 2 birds with one stone
I wanna see Stone Cold Steve Austin's reaction to that Stunner. I'd like to think he'd call it badass! Amazon didn't give 'em Season 4 until they hit their metrics...which they did halfway through the season, no big surprise. I hope Amazon sees your ending discussion.
I'm gonna recommend that if you don't watch any other episodes from the campaign, you should watch this one. It's called Vorugal. The demon is in it. they do fight. Lady Kima is there altho Lady Allura is not in the fight. Lots of fun highly recommended.
Kima was showing some Paladin sass as well with that coup-de-gras line to Vorugal. As a paladin of The Law Bearer, she is sworn to deliver justice to those beyond the reach of civil law. Being the sword arm of justice tends to lead to at least some degree of arrogance.
Kima is a paladin of the Platinum dragon. What you described are the tenents of the Platinum dragon since he is lawfull good. The Law bearer is more lawfull neutral. The tenents of the lawbearer state you need to uphold the law above all, even if they may seem unjust.
In dnd lore: White dragons are the weakest of all the dragon kind, but are balanced out by having photographic memories, insane senses of smell and can remember smells for centuries. They are SO BROKEN, they can remember where each individual piece of gold is in their hoard and where it came from. But they aren’t intellectually savvy at all. Most instincts and street smarts they pick up on naturally, but if they need to be taught something like…. Speaking… they don’t until hundreds of years pass. Vorugal was technically the weakest by genetics, but I think was canonically the OLDEST of the group, due to his size only being rivaled by Thordak. So it makes sense why he’s such a problem!
It's hilarious that you think the bear should be doing more. 😁 It was an ongoing joke in the campaign that Trinket was useless and more trouble than he's worth, especially from the Scanlan player. Beastmaster (ranger subclass that Vex is) was severely underpowered when they played this campaign, they've been reworked and buffed a lot since and I think Critical Role is a big reason why.
White dragons are the Rambo hunters of dragons. They are also the ones who fight for FUN! Vorugal knew it was very possible to lose that fight, especially after the demon… but that’s how LOSERS THINK!!! TURN UP THE VOLUME! THIS IS A FUNERAL FOR THE LIVING!

The director of this episode, Young Heller, is the same one who directed The Kill Box in season 2.
The "bamf" thing was an easter egg: Vax's voice actor played Nightcrawler.
How I first heard him. So when I first watched LOVM I was like, "why does he sound familar...." Then I switched his accent to German and ding. And then he played Caleb Widogast. :)
bamf means something totally different to me. it's an acronym for bad ass you know what. 😄

Damn right, but it was not as even as in the show. Vorugal just flew over Yenk and blasted him with ice breath.
"I don't wanna die bald!" destroyed both of them lmfaooo

And just to let you all know-Liam/Vax is the one who VOICED the ice dragon.
11:29 I like to think even Vorugal was like “oh damn that was hard-“
Animators were FLEXIN' in this ep. 😁
This season was epic. The kaiju fight was amazing!!! Can’t hype it enough

2:05-Say hello to Divine Smite!
Been so hyped for this reaction in particular 🙌🙌

this and Vox Machina vs. the Herd of Storms last season (and probably VM vs. the Briarwoods in episode 11 of S1) are all top notch battle eps.
I love the legend of vox Machina so much

Wasn't Larkin there too? Where's Larkin?
@@PuffyCloud_aka_puffeclaude Haha, indeed Larkin was there. :)
In seasons 1 and 2, we had to wait until episode 10 for the heavy metal scene. Already slamming in the pit, ep. 5. Season 3 goes hard.
