His cover of Sixteen Tons is just out this world!
In geoffs cover of blackbird and his cover of high and dry you get to hear his higher range even more.
Great reaction! Thank you. Fun facts. When you mentioned 'the original' recording of House I suspect that you were thinking of the version done by The Animals. This song was actually first recorded in 1933 by a 16 year old Appalachian girl by the name of Georgia Turner. However, it has been traced back at least far as early 1900s and probably much earlier.
I agree with you! This is very much my favorite version of this song!
Told you so! This one is the one where he just shows off.
Voiceplay has another one that you haven't reacted to yet that stretches him a bit. It's an arrangement that Layne (the beatboxer) did - Little Mermaid Medley. I grew up in the wrong era to have seen the Disney movie, but it didn't matter. They tell the whole story by their choices and it is hysterically funny!
Geoff is my absolut favourite bass singer. His Shenandoah is just beautiful. And yes, Till Then, also. But to hear more of his range I suggest Blackbird.
Your smile says everything when you love what you are hearing and are having fun. Thank you for that. 😄 (we need that in this world)
Love the reaction!! Appreciate how genuine and excited you get ❤️
When he hits the low note on "done", did you catch the easter egg in the background? (candle)
If you liked this one, then you'll love his latest, "Till then", even more. 🙂
Totally different kind of song, and mood, and even voice. But heck, is it good. I've listened to that a hundred times, and it ALWAYS bring tears to my eyes (yes, I'm THAT kind of man 😅). 🙂🙂
Give it a try. You won't regret it. 🙂
Also, the a cappella group he sings in, Voiceplay, just released an a cappella cover of nothing less than Metallica's "Nothing else matters", and it's CRAZY GOOD. 🙂
And just to showcase Geoff's bass voice, you should watch their "The Dragonborn comes - Skyrim" cover...😉
See you next time!
Was hoping you’d do some Geoff videos 😊
As far as I'm concerned, this is the new definitive version of this song.
Check out Nothing Else Matters voiceplay you'll definitely like that
If you liked this you need to listen to Geoff’s cover of Sixteen Tons.
Voiceplay just dropped nothing else matters by Metallica! It's fantastic Geoff arrangement and they killed it
no copyright with geoff or voiceplay btw
😊👍😎
У меня стиралка так же звучит :)))
I think Geoff is wonderful but Avi Kaplan will always have my heart. ❤
I love them both SO much. Geoff has that technical expertise and Avi has a powerful and tender soul
- Everyone: Who sounds like that! Who has that deep voice??!!
- Jeff: Me?
Who’s Jeff? She’s reacting to Geoff.
Did you go to monster mash by him, more Halloween however still good.
👍🎶
If you like Bass you should check out The Bass Gang. One of my favorites is a Billie Eilish cover of "Bury a Friend".
Carlie: Who sounds like that?
Me: 🙋♂️(until he hits subharmonics)
Mee too...even with the subharmonics too I can do till D1 i guess
You haven't done ain't no sunshine yet ?
Interesting fact I know you live In Virginia and so do I but Geoff is actually from Virginia himself
You are missing out if you dont do voiceplays cover of nothing else matters.
I wish you wouldn't use unnecessary filters on Geoff's and VoicePlays' videos. They own their own property and don't do copyright strikes.
It's because they aren't good enough for a label to care what they do.
@John Deere Green What I'm saying is they are mediocre at best. They constantly have more featured artist then any other Acapella group because they can't stand on their own. There are 3 other Acapella groups that are by far better. The reason they aren't signed to a label is because they just aren't good enough. They are average at best.
@@johndeeregreen4592 The only time they are gonna chart is if they make their own chart and hang it on the refrigerator.
@@sean1849, for that matter, Home Free has hit the Billboard once. Get a clue, bubba. The labels are scared by what the independent artists are doing.
@John Deere Green Once is better then none. If you think they are on the same playing g field as Homefree or Pentatonix you need to get your head checked
sorry...he sounds like Lurch from the Addams Family.
AVI KAPLAN
I still like the Animals better
Cool.
And Geoff can go a lot lower too.
