Hey, thanks for the video. Do you have alternative for this tripod that compatible with peak design clip? because i cant find the tripod in my country.
I like the way you explain your thinking about what you need and how to not blindly follow "popular opinion". After using a piece of equipment, there's also the question of: is it fun to use (however you define fun). So what's your verdict after using the Sirui for a while in the field?
I really liked the mindset behind this. wasn't ever intent on getting the carbon fiber PD tripod but the Aluminium one appeals. The price difference here between the two isn't much. Aside the weight is there any major benefits to using a carbon fiber tripod?
@@mikkelstormhansen9733 If it wasn't for the fact I have to grab a bunch of other gear for an upcoming trip I'd definitely have chosen the carbon fiber one!
I really like a lot of the PD stuff, but that tripod seems way overpriced as do some of their bags, but that can be said of a lot of the more recent brands, Three Legged Thing [3LT] too, but even they come in a fair bit less as well as being innovative and well-featured, some of their kit looks really interesting... The 190X isn't big, it's just not a travel tripod, although I've packed the 055xPro3 in a suitcase and flown it across The Pond. Sadly, I find that there only are a few tripods that have some of what I want between them, but none have it all, so, if you are like that, you probably have to have at least two, anyway, if they were all PD price, tata 1200 £/$.
If their motto “brilliant bags made by fairly paid workers. 100% carbon neutral.” Is true, the compactness and kind of innovation behind their tripod was worth it for me . Great point about influencers !
Any experienced photographers will know that Peak's Design wasn't as good as the ones on the market. I personally like the Benro's but that is just me.
With the cost still where it is, the aluminum still barely available, and the options for other carbon models all over… I’m still using the cheap one and it’s working great at half the weight and less than half the cost.
The Peak Design is the innovation design for tripod against the traditional, it not only a tripod, it is a attitude of break through, I got their concept after I bought it, they might not be the best tripod, but they must be the brave one to think out of the box.
Ehh... I'm reeeeeeally debating on weather or not I should get this tripod. My friend has the Peak Design and omg it is completely worth the $600. The problem is actually having that $600 lol. I don't want to cheap out, BUT I do need a tripod asap...so if this is the closest thing I can get to the PD for now, guess it'll have to do. But seriously, if you can afford the PD Travel Tripod I was recommend that thing 1000% don't go cheap.
The price that peak design put on their carbon tripod is literally the reason why I will never purchase anything from them again. That is just an insult to consumers.
9 minutes about tripods which are not even featured here, then 2 minutes about SIRUI :D
Peak Design sells a Dual Plate that is compatible to the PD Capture Clip, the Arca Swiss and even Manfrotto RC2.
That's a delightfully small tripod. Sirui makes nice stuff. I have one of their monopods with feet and it's awesome.
Good to know!
Great review! I appreciate your calm and kind vibe too! :)
I’d rather have the small peak design. I look forward to bringing everywhere I go for photography.

Carbon fiber transmits less vibrations than an aluminium one, so with these lighter tripods they are more stable.

Thank you for this honest review
thanx, nice review and argument.
Link for tripod? Great comparison.
My Sirui broke in less than 1 year....
I like your philosophy
This makes me feel better about not being able to afford the Peak Design tripod lol. Thanks for the video.
Of course! I’ve got another tripod I’m testing now that I’ll have a review on soon. Another good contender for the cost.
🤣💯

Great review, I liked the peak design, but I cannot justify putting a 200$ camera on a 600$ tripod lol...
You and me both!
The Peak ballhead is a convoluted mess, but the legs are great.

I have the sam tripod and its fantastic.
I think you have made the vest decision. Peak Design is way to expensive and totally not worth it.
5:40 thank me later

Too much waffling on so I only watched the first few minutes and got bored.
A dissapointed wannabe not sponsored by peak design.
Who hurt you?
@@JBlakePhoto ignroe the troll, great video. Does the sirui allow for easy attachment of a fluid head?
