I really enjoy your theme dance. It brings fun to the tutorial. Not the usual monotonous boring lecture sort of videos plaguing UA-cam. Love your tutorials too. Simple and effective! Keep them coming for amateurs like us :D :D
+Kushal Swain so happy you are enjoying my dances. so silly huh...... also happy you are enjoying my lightroom tutorials especially this one on lightroom batch processing.
These are YOUR videos and you have to enjoy what you do to keep doing it- keep doing your dance and making your work fun for you! Really enjoying your tutorials.
I have been looking all over youtube for tutorials and I have to say that you tutorials really have helped me a lot. You enthusiasm and explanations keep me interested and the videos do not become boring. Keep up the good work man I really enjoy it!
+Eric Frank Wow..... that you so much for these kind words of encouragement. I keep producing the best lightroom tutorials I can because of kind words from people like you. I am so happy you enjoy my excitement, thats jus the person I am. Happy editing and good luck.
+Juliet Harvey Yay..... more votes for the dance.. I love doing it too so its going to stay,.... yay. I hope you learnt a little about lightroom batch processing too. :)
This is a great technic and saves a lot of time. Thanks for sharing this video. By the way: I love your dance too. I get the impression, that you like your work and makes me smile.
+Corinne Ammann I absolutely LOVE my work. I have such a great time shooting, editing and teaching lightroom... I am priverlaged to be something I love so much. I am so pleased this makes you happy, that is my aim for sure. Happy you enjoyed learning about lightroom batch processing. Happy smiling... :)
+Ski Rinkevicius Thank you so much for the vote of confidence..... just trying to make this overly technical world a little fun. Hope you learned how too to Lightroom batch processing in their tutorial. Have an awesome some day.
Even if I already knew this tecnique, I wanted to leave a comment just to say that I enjoy the dance you do in the intro.. It's one of the most creative intro I've seen around UA-cam ;)
+Photos In Color... YES I LIKE YOUR DANCE! I find your tutorial very helpful. It's my first time to do the batch photo editing :D Thanks for making it fun :D
I like your dance, first of all. (o: You have a great vibe and energy to your videos, besides being very clear and succinct w/your explanations - will definitely check out more. Subscribed!
hahaha. thank ou so much. I wouldn't recumbent using it on the dance floor though. thank you so much for your kind words, as long as people keep watching i will keep creating. happy batch editing.
The amount of people complaining in the comment section of your videos is bewildering. Ed drops knowledge for 55 videos and people complain about the most irrelevant things. Thank you Ed for showing the power of the tools you select for each video. Rather than learn what the tools can do, people act like your intent is to edit every photo to extreme precision. Keep doing your dance Ed; people are just jealous they don't enjoy their art as much as you do.
+Phantom RC Hehehehe I think it is art to. Not sure my dancing is art though..... but it is me just expressing..... so great to hear that you are enjoying my lightroom Tutorials
I love this for applying lens profiles to everything or removing chromatic aberration. Keep the dance y the way, I love your enthusiasm haha. You had a bit of an American twang going on too at the start, the locale seems to be rubbing off haha. Us Brits always seem to pick up accents pretty quickly I find.
+TMV Happy you like my approach to this technical world. its just who I am... and so... the dance stays.... Happy you liked this tutorial on how to batch process photos in lightroom
was doing the radial filters on every image for a while... it was pretty obvious that you can copy them but i didn't notice that oops, Thanks for the video! its gonna save me a TON of time
Super happy you are enjoying my lightrom CC tutorials and learning Lightroom batch editing makes life soooooo much easier. you just got soooo many hours of your life back. pretty awesome huh.
+Sai Chandra Sekhar Dandu Thank you so much..... these kind words is what allows me to continue. Amazing, thank you.... I hope you were able to learn tutorial. Lightroom batch processing in this Lightroom 6
great video! thanks for tips! I will buy lightroom after watching this video. all my pictures are in jpeg format, can I still edit my pictures in lightroom?
+John X I completely know what you mean. I have tried to create the best Lightroom 6 tutorials I can. They are not perfect but i am dong my best to make viewing the most pleasant experience possible. Thank you for your kind words.. that really do mean a lot.
+Photos In Color Ed, you are doing a great job. If I try to concentrate on other people's video's the usual things that stop me learning are: Naff music, unhelpful digression, a lack of continuity and a dilution of the facts. I have watched videos that have taken an hour, that could have presented the concise information in ten minutes. More would have been learned and retained. Not only that - I will happily watch yours again if I need a refresher. I won't do that with the gone-with-the-wind-bag ones. I appreciate your efforts - your videos are all good. I'll let you know if I spot a bad one - or a diddly-friggin-dee riverdance!
+Tiny Donkers Yay more likes for my dancing... the feedback has been overwhelming.... Its staying, maybe I will do a tutorial some day. hahaha, jokes. So happy you liked my Lightroom 6 Video Tutorial.
+Chen Hopwood Photography hehehehe, I know its all a little silly. But I like to keep it the way as it keeps things alight in the very technical photography world. We can get the technical right and still have fun. Hope you are enjoying my lightrrom CC tutorials though.
Your tutorials are awesome Ed. I have finally figured out how to use all the possibilities that are found in Lightroom. One question: for batch processing, is it a good idea to always apply the lens correction settings whenever importing photos? Keep up the good work and a million thanks for showing me all the great things it is possible to do with photos :)
+Mari Ottvad So happy you are finding my lightroom tutorials helpful. if you are going to do something to every image then yes do it on import. Personally I don't always batch process lens corrections as i often like to 'feel' the lens in my images but that is just preference. Lightroom batch editing is great for this process though. \
That's great but can you do the with the Exif edit editor? I have many photos with the wrong year in the info of media tags. I need to batch edit the year.
+Rajesh Asthana For presets you essential use the same technique, but rather than pressing sync, just go to the left panel in the develop modemed. At the top of the presets panel you will see a + button. Click this and the same box come up, select which things you want to be a part of the present and save it. Super simple. Much like lightroom batch processing.
HI there, can you please do a video on how to create a catalog (showing different images on 1 page in the form of a grid) from a batch of images? With their titles? Would it be possible to have an automated action? Or do you have to do it individually? Thanks.
+Saberanza I am not entirely sure what you mean. It seems like you are describing the library module in grid form. If you want a completely different catalogue from a selection of images just select all the images you want and then right click 'create catalogue from selection' simple. I would not use this too often though, in my opinion you are better using collections wishing your catalogue. please see this lightroom tutorial ua-cam.com/video/LPHElrk8kVI/v-deo.html If you want to change all the titles at once yu can either do this on import or in the library module, select all the photos you want to change then click the small box under the line where the image title is. this will open up a dialogue box fro you to change the file names. I hope this helped with your Lightroom batch processing. If you have more questions just ask.
+Photos In Color Hi Ed, thanks for the reply and the referral... Unfortunately the video on the collections is not what I was looking for. As helpful as it was, it did not provide a final print of those images in a grid form with the titles showing. So I thought up of an example to try and explain it a little bit more in-depth, so here goes... Think of a school year book... They have all the individually taken photos placed in a grid form to represent a specific class or team. Underneath, they have the names of the students, a quote, etc. some yearbooks also have an underlying photo of the school and the photos aren't placed on a white background. However, they still are placed in a grid pattern. Now, my question is, how do I go about setting up an action that will create the above? Is it possible to do it automatically? Or will I have to sort through each individual photos and place them in the respective areas? If so, how would I then go about showing the file numbers underneath?
+Harry Proudlove Thanks so much. the dance is staying for sure. although it seems to get my silly each episode. Happy you liked the lightroom batch editing tutorial though.
If you have clicked Auto on one image and then sync does it just apply the same individual settings to all photos or does it apply the Auto setting to each one individually? To explain does it just copy the slider values or is it like clicking the Auto button on each picture with different values for each picture.
Hello Ed, I've asked this question a few times with no reply :( What kind of mouse pad are you using on these tutorials? do you recommend it? By the way, I love your videos and I've learned so much. I will move on to the photoshop tutorials soon. Thank you!
Thanks for that tutorial, but I wonder, how it will do you any good. This information can be added and removed by anyone, so how does it help with claiming photos, if you have your copyright added and a thief added his/her own to a copy he/she made?
+Ian Gibson Yay.... I will be continuing for sure.... People really seem to like it. a few people don't but its my personality and I don't want to be a robot whilst teaching... Thanks for the vote of confidence. Hope you also learned about lightroom batch editing once you got through the dance. hehehe
can i use the sync function to map out a hot pixel clone the 1st picture then highlight the rest and then sync would this work rather than having to do each one individually ?
In ightorom batch editing you can do this yes. However will replace the pie from the same point in every photo. So if you are replacing it in a blue area and you select an nearby area that will work, but if that nearby area is great in another image the it will replace it with the green color. I hope this helps with you lightroom batch editing.
Hi Ed! Hmmm, maybe it's just me but I don't seem to have a 'sync' button...just the 'previous' and 'reset'. I did check the settings but there the sync button is 'offline'...does this in anyway sound familiar to you? And if so, would you be so kind to help me out? Thanks! oh and by the way, keep on dancing! :-)
+Pool mass hahahahaha. maybe i should do that... have some production dancers too... hehehehe Hope you enjoyed learning Lightroom batch processing too. :)
+David Roth Well if i am honest I don't really do it very often. With my iMac I have only checked it once and its was awesome.... you know something is wrong when you just rant happy with the way your images look on your screen. I would recommend doing it before any large project that you are going to want to print. Say for a gallery exhibition, remember 99% of people won't notice the tiny differences. Its only a problem if its a problem if you know what i mean. i hope this helped. It mayn't be the best answer but it is an honest one. Glad you are still watching my lightroom 6 tutorials.
im not sure this would work? i mean yes it works but what if i dont want all my pics exactly the same edit settings? some pics may differ from others depending on your camera settings? besides i love going through each photo as mine are all different, i dont understand why ud have every pic the sane edit setting?
You still can make the photos different, but if you made a mistake like white balance (think portrait session) and all of your photos are off, you can just change it for let's say 20 photos at once instead of one by one. Synchronization is pretty powerful especially if your images are in the same setting.
in photoshop you need to use scripts and automation. this is the exact reason i suggest everyone use lightroom as well as photoshop. then you get to do batch editing in lightroom as well as all you ACR edits and amazing organization. You'll save a massive amount of space too. I hope this helped.
+Photos In Color and any other Lightroom pros, how would you batch edit virtual copies without clicking on each individual copy? Say you want to add b&w preset to virtual copy #1 or Instagram crop to copy #2 for a 200+ image collection.
+Nathan Woolley create a Lightroom virtual copy. Place that 1st copy in a collection. Do the same again for each version adding each set of copies to a collection. Then just batch edit within each collection. Then go back to the main folder and voila all the files will Be in one folder all batches edited with different version. Woohoo.
+RICHARD LEVAO 100% yes.. I will do the for sure, but i will wait, maybe i will post it as a celebration of when I hit 50k subscribers. I have a ways to go but should be there sometime this year, so keep an eye out. Great idea though and It will happen at some point.
do the danceeeeee lol hi im brand new to lightroom i shoot raw and are having trouble learning my way around it ould u do a vid for brand new people to lightroom
+Staurt Jarvis Welcome to my channel. if you visit my channel page (Photos In Color) then you will se a lot of videos for Lightroom. I have a quick start guid and then a walk through of nearly every part of Lightroom. Good luck learning lightroom and I you will be batch processing ling Lightroom in no time.
+Chris Kay the dance is staying for sure... hehehehe.... I have no idea what the gator is but keep and eye out over the next few weeks and i will give it a go for sure..... hehehe. I hope you learned about lightrooom batch editing too.
So happy you like the dance. does this mean you think the rest of my content is not very good. hehehehe. especially if you think my bad dancing is the best bit. hehehe
Hmmmmm. that seams strange although I'm not surprised as they are not build to be editable files really. Can I ask why you are wanting to edit a .png in lightroom. It seems like an odd requite. Those files don't hold any extra color data so you wont actually be able to do any editing in Lightroom.
Oh, I had a real estate slide show and the pictures were converted to PNG and I was just trying to edit all the pictures without conversion following your tutorial.
Hi Ed!! Love your videos, btw!! I do have ONE question about this... DO YOU have a tutorial explaining EACH one of the selections of the "COPY SETTINGS" and what they all are/mean/do? OR do you know of something that I can read or watch to understand each one? Thanks so much bro! you're awesome!!! @JMIAHONLINE
each of the setting here relates to each item inside the develop module its that simple. I have tutorials on every single item in the develop module so you can watch all of these videos. Essentially any edit you make in the develop module is within a section. When you batch edit in lightroom you just select which sections you will copy across to all selected images. Simple. Just head over to my channel and work your way through my lightroom CC training course and you will be a pro in no time.
Photos In Color Hi Ed! Thanks so much for the response! I do know the program very well... I was always proficient in Photoshop since gosh forever ago like CS1 days LOL I never really needed to get into lightroom, bcuz I did more video than any photography but now that my clients are needing my style... I have to keep it all organized like i did with Ae, Pr, Ps, Ai, etc. I wanted to copy certain things from a photo I had touched up, but didnt want EVERYTHING like any of the brush tools or anything specific to just that ONE picture. I wanted to just copy the light settings and such to other pics and then do their own specific things too... i know that took a book, you know what i mean. LOL Thanks so much and I'll check your channel.! Thanks for the response!! Jeremy Williamson
Photos In Color Hi Ed! I figured it out... i was totally over complicating it bcuz i was in a rush! haha my apologies man!! I totally subscribed and got your playlist saved so I can have them anytime! ONE QUESTION based on it though is, DO YOU have a tutorial on how to access the pictures from my DSLR's imported into LrCC from my Lr MOBILE on my iphone and ipad? Does it have something to do with creating collections and all the devices can just access that collection and edit from wherever? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME!! YOU ARE AWESOME... so how about dancing some for your video intros more? LOL
So happy you figured it out. Unfortunately I do not have a tutorial on Lightroom mobile. However you are correct that you just need to set it up, log into the same account on you mobile devices then create a collection. Then make that collection available on lightorom mobile and it is all synched through the cloud. I hope this helped and good luck with everything.
not sure I completely understand your comment. Are you saying that every image so copying batch editing has no place. if so I would have to strongly disagree. if you have got your exposure correct on every image and you want to say 'crush the blacks' and add some yellow to the highlights in split toning and you wont this across say 200 images. then lightroom batch editing is exact what you need. but i would always recommend checking the all just to make sure.
I should have said "...parameters cannot be the same...". ALL images, unless taken in a studio with the same lighting from the same spot, are different and thus, although you can adjust a global exposure and highlights and shadows you cannot be EXACT with the whites and blacks. I have tried this "batch processing" many many times and you always have to "re-adjust" the whites/blacks. Good idea for "bulk" global adjustments but only a short-cut to individual processing....
I really enjoy your theme dance. It brings fun to the tutorial. Not the usual monotonous boring lecture sort of videos plaguing UA-cam. Love your tutorials too. Simple and effective! Keep them coming for amateurs like us :D :D
+Kushal Swain so happy you are enjoying my dances. so silly huh...... also happy you are enjoying my lightroom tutorials especially this one on lightroom batch processing.

hi!
how did you do those "sun beams"? where and when you usually apply this visual trick? :)
Lets forget about the dance, i'm more concerned about that plant in the background... looks like its dying hahaha

Horizon line right through her head? Nice...
...and cut foot. ouch

How often is monitor calibration necessary?
+David Roth Well if i am honest I don't really do it very often. With my iMac I have only checked it once and its was awesome.... you know something is wrong when you just rant happy with the way your images look on your screen. I would recommend doing it before any large project that you are going to want to print. Say for a gallery exhibition, remember 99% of people won't notice the tiny differences. Its only a problem if its a problem if you know what i mean. i hope this helped. It mayn't be the best answer but it is an honest one.
Glad you are still watching my lightroom 6 tutorials.
How do you then batch export/save?
im not sure this would work? i mean yes it works but what if i dont want all my pics exactly the same edit settings? some pics may differ from others depending on your camera settings? besides i love going through each photo as mine are all different, i dont understand why ud have every pic the sane edit setting?
You still can make the photos different, but if you made a mistake like white balance (think portrait session) and all of your photos are off, you can just change it for let's say 20 photos at once instead of one by one. Synchronization is pretty powerful especially if your images are in the same setting.

How to crop many photo in batch in photoshop cs5 in any one size (4 x6)
in photoshop you need to use scripts and automation. this is the exact reason i suggest everyone use lightroom as well as photoshop. then you get to do batch editing in lightroom as well as all you ACR edits and amazing organization. You'll save a massive amount of space too. I hope this helped.
Keep the dance!
hahahaha. I will. happy you learnt how to lightroom batch edit.
Keep dancing kinda unique!
Woohoo.
Photos In Color, ok yeah I guess that's easy enough. Thanks for the response. 👍
Hello Sir...
Why Don't Try make a manipulation???
Would you consider posting a video compiling your dances?
+RICHARD LEVAO 100% yes.. I will do the for sure, but i will wait, maybe i will post it as a celebration of when I hit 50k subscribers. I have a ways to go but should be there sometime this year, so keep an eye out. Great idea though and It will happen at some point.

Nice dance.
Lightroom won't import PNG photos?
Hmmmmm. that seams strange although I'm not surprised as they are not build to be editable files really.
LOL
Thanks so much and I'll check your channel.!
I hope this helped and good luck with everything.
all very well but every image. has a different make up and thus parameters can be the same for all....
not sure I completely understand your comment.
DANCE!! Haters gonna hate.
this is for lightroom classic...
I love you dance
5:50, thank me later. Do changes, select all files, click "Sync" button. Done.
