நாம் திருச்சபையின் வரலாற்றை வாசிக்கிறது போது திருச்சபை பிறந்த காலத்தில் இருந்தே அநேக தப்பறையாளர்கள் தோன்றி அதுவும் திருச்சபையில் ஆயர்களாய் குருக்களாய் இருந்தவர்கள் முதலாய் தப்பறையாளர்களாக தோன்றினார்கள்.
அவர்களில் இருந்து விசுவாசிகளை காக்க அவ்அப்போது கடவுள் திருச்சபைக்கு தேவையான குருக்களையும் புனிதர்களையும் கொடுத்தார். புனித அத்தனாசியார் புனித சாமிநாதர் புனித இன்னாசியார் புனித அந்தோணியார் போன்றவர்கள் அவர்களுள் சிலர்.
எனவே புனித லூயிஸ் மரிய மோன்போர்ட்டு கூறுவது போல திருச்சபை சேசுவை உத்தமமாக நேசிக்கவே மரியாயிடம் செல்கிறோம். என்ற விசுவாசம் திருச்சபையில் என்றும் அழிக்க முடியாது.
