This is my new favorite hat! Love love the pattern and how you teach it is makes it ai easy to follow. I love the tightening of the cast on at the end and have never seen that done before but gives it a beautiful edge. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and patterns with us . I will definitely be trying out some other patterns from your channel
Hello, beautiful hat, i love spiral hats and vidéo is easy to follow. I am making one on a 36 peg loom and can confirm its à 5 peg pattern with à twist to the right. You can use thé left twist but it results in à much more subtle pattern which works using two différent coloured yarns . Hope this helps
Love the hat. But I have tried the tighten cast on and it depends on the yarn. The thicker the yarn the easier you can see it. But I would rather either use a double ewrap or the chain the chain you don't have to do this and it looks great
Complete noob of a guy here and I am wanting to make my kids hats with this design. I have a 40 peg loom, what modifications to the pattern would I need to do, to make it work?
The 6 stitch repeat in the video works for a 41 peg loom because 6 x 7 is 42. So each round has the repeat start one peg over. With a 36 peg loom, you could try doing a 5 stitch repeat or 7 stitch repeat, but maybe a right twist will be better than a left twist. Hard to visualize without actually trying it out.
I just found your videos and I love them! I'm just starting out and I've made 2 of your spiral hats so far. I have a question. How many yards of yarn do these hats need? I just bought a bunch of yarn on clearance, and one of the balls is only 51 yards long, but it is #6 and super fuzzy. Not sure if that will be long enough and I'd hate to start and run out. Help please!
I'm not sure how a 40 peg loom would work out, since 6 pegs X 7 stitches is 42. It's better when you shift by one peg after each round, not by two pegs.
Finally a clear visual to understanding where to pull the loose loops to tighten the cast on! Thank you Mrs Yarn! Very cute spiral hat too!
I am an advanced loomer but wanted you to know this is a great video for beginners.
Thanks! I try to make my videos easy to understand.

I am working on a 36 peg loom and trying to adapt this pattern. How did you do it? How many knit stitch then how many right twists?
Hello! That’s wonderful! Could you please say how to define the diameter or the size of the head this hat is fit for?

Good tip about the double e-wrap cast on and the chain cast on. I also like the chain cast on very much!

Can you do this on a 42 peg loom
Can you do this pattern on a 42 peg loom
Can this stitch be done exactly on a 36 peg loom?

Do you still knit the last peg
I am thinking that you can do this on a 40 peg loom because it is a 6 peg repeat.

Could you do this on a 48 peg Loom?
Yes, for sure, I would just use a lighter yarn.
Can you do this pattern on a 42 peg loom
