I find it interesting that he claims that they reached out to the families. And they say no one ever talked to them. We won't ever know what's true. But I really find it weird that one part is not saying the truth obviously.

Isn't it only Rita Isbell though, who says that she wasn't contacted? I don't think anyone else had said anything about that. I'm thinking that one way that it could be that both are telling the truth is that maybe Ryan just didn't contact her family (relatives of victim Errol Lindsey), maybe because he wasn't going to be featured in the show. But I think it's likely he contacted many of the other ones who actually were featured in the show (but we don't know exactly which ones he contacted, since he doesn't specify it). After all, he wanted to do as much accurate research as possible and had hoped that they would answer and give him some imput about the material.
