Honda used to be known as the BMW of Japan until the late 1990s when their designs became more like Japanese Transformer's style. Mazda has replaced them by making semi luxury performance oriented vehicles in the last decade and a half. If you look at the 1st Gen Mazda 3 it was dimensionally similar and also looks similar to the 4th Gen E46 BMW 3 series and that was purposeful. The Mazda design team in Germany set the E46 as a benchmark and the Mazda "3" was a reference. The base of that model Mazda 3 was shared with Ford and Volvo as a global Ford platform so Mazda benefited from that collaboration since it's actually quite a small manufacturing company by automotive standards. Subsequent Mazda models have gone their own way but remain oriented to sporty performance and handling, and luxury interiors while retaining the "affordability" gap between premium luxury. Unfortunately here taxes and duties make them more expensive because of Japanese assembly. If they assembled them in Thailand they'd benefit from the ASEAN duty free import rules for member nations. The only real complaints most people have are very hard and narrow seats which hurt people's hips, a fair amount of road noise and the odd head unit with the rotary knob and lack of touch screen, other than that people love the luxury interiors and sporty drive, and the great reputation for reliability and build quality. Mazda buyers tend to be very loyal to the brand. Great review by the way.
You can take it on dirt roads and light trails, but it doesn't have underbody protection or any sort of low range. The AWD system is designed for traction on wet, muddy or snowy roads, not real off roading.

This is an amazing vehicle 🤔👍
Everything looks good except the location where you shoot the video 😀😀😀
The Mazda CX 50 is better looking but not available in Philippines and a bit more expensive
CX50 is for North American Market. The CX60 would be for the rest of the globe but would be pricier, wonder what's next.

Which part of safety are you triggered?
@@SoJooCars his brain. he relies so much on car computers coz his brain is on the other side of the spectrum.
Can you bring this to offroad?
Not really the AWD is not as good as Subaru Outback or forester. And you need the off-road version wildernesses.
