He is arguably the best wrestler in middleweight already and there’s zero chance anyone on contender series was going to be able to stop him. It’s going to be super interesting to see how fast he rips through that division and how good he’ll be in in a few years when his striking is at a high level as well. It would also be super interesting to see him against a guy like Andre Muniz considering he’s 0-1-2 in professional grappling matches. What's crazy is that he faked a takedown, and his opponent dropped his hands preparing to try to defend a takedown, and he threw the punch on the way in for a takedown, so he was literally doing a takedown with a punch to the chin mixed in at the last second. It was a genius move, and it seems odd that we don't see that exact move from other more seasoned fighters? I think Tito Ortiz did this exact same punch and knocked out Ryan Bader? Dan Henderson with his crazy overhand rights, as he was lunging in wildly? But it doesn't seem like many fighters execute a fake takedown punch that effectively.

    The punch into the takedown was such a ridiculously athletic move from Bo, dude covered like 1/4th of the octagon in a single movement. If he wants to fight as a long term career there's no reason for him to jump into the deep end. He should just take some unranked fights and use that time to really sharpen his striking, submission defense, and BJJ transitions and I think he'd be in a much better place to become a title contender.

      Yes i agree. After watching Izzy take him down and control him shows me Khamzat will do him dirty on the ground. Imo Holland is a better grappler then Alex. Khamzat by sub in 2 rounds tops.
      The size difference is the only thing but him being taller mean Khamzat has better center of gravity.

    • @too_sturdy
      @too_sturdy Рік тому +1

      Im 6'4. I know Alex is 6'5 by looking at him. He had an inch on Izzy. Khamzat is 6'3 i think. But Alex is still much heavier if khamzat can make 170. Must have a natural 20lbs. But Alex lack of getting back to his feet is gonna make it so easy for a strong grappler. Izzy has great TDD and can get back up more importantly.
      Edit- Seems like Glover can lead a horse to water but cant make him drink.
      I know he's teaching Alex BJJ and wrestling but he doesn't seem to be picking it up well in other words. And Glover showed he can strike well with Jiri and Alex is helping him sharpen his striking.
