Thanks for explaining the Ontario licence plate. :) I was born in Alliston. I live in BC now and have been watching UA-cam videos and planning my campervan for a few years. I have collected up everything I need but the courage to get out of my house. And I worry that my two 10 year old cats would not fare well in a minivan. Still, I'm 71, so I can't put it off forever. Hello Breanna, I am new to your channel, My name is Maxine and just wanted to say I enjoyed this video and the surroundings you showed us In Australia. Thank you for telling us about your life and yourself. It is quite interesting. I am glad you are so happy doing it. Your Van is quite nice and outfitted superbly. I applaud your planning and inventiveness. I live in Washington state. near Olympia. I like it here. Winters are not too bad. and Summer can get warm but not for a long time. Its very green here, and we have some great places to explore. .I only have one eye, so no I would not have gone down to that wall either. I have trouble with depth perception, but it made me uneasy to see the steepness i could perceive. woah that was steep.
Very Informative loved all the look out so beautiful wish I was there.loved seeing Abby having so much fun.I can’t get enough of your videos and seeing how happy you are with your new journey in life.
I always wanted to travel around Australia but that was dashed when divorced and injuries fron a MVA. I love that I found your channel today and got to enjoy some beautiful places. Saw quite a bit of Australia east coast only and Tasmania when I was able bodied. I used to love bushwalks so seeing your videos of bushwalks is a real joy for me. Finding your channel has so made my day. I will work through them all a bit at a time. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful country with so much diversity and wild life. I love your moving stick comment. Thats what I always out for. They hide well and look like sticks. Most slither off but in Qld the coastal tiapans are aggressive and rear up rather than take off and hide encounted a few.
Many Solo women, all ages are freedom camping/boon docking here in NZ,its becoming more popular now ,2021/2022.Even foregners buying a van and converting it to a camper while on holiday here are doing it,cheaper than getting a rental.NZ is fast becoming a nation of Van dewlers,Motorhomes & Caravans aswell, but more and more converted vans are on the roads now.NZ is a safe country but like anywhere you need to know you are safe.Im a Kiwi and been Freedom Camping in vans/motorhomes for more than 20 years and never had a problem with anyone. You get to know your freedom camping neighbour, either good or not or you move on and just park up on your own and enjoy.
So glad you called me for advice on doing this drive and I’m so glad you and Abby had a big, but great day out. The mountains around Lake Pedder and Lake Gordon are simply amazing. Remember when your heading up the coast you have a place in Byron Bay to camp at, my driveway is always ready for you to visit.
Showers here in NZ. We have lots of "Hot pools" at nearly every town,so I make use of the hot pools then use their warm showers/toilets to have a full wash. Also most beaches have a push button cold shower outside their changeing rooms/toilets.I also use a 12 volt shower,12 volt small pump that fits down inside a plastic jerry can, with long hose I can hook up on outside of van or hold over myself.Other than that I use mild cleaning wipes for a "cat" wash. But I find the public Hot Pools are the best !

I'm glad your horse is happy. Travelling with a dog is one thing, but a horse would be difficult in a van. One day, after my cats are gone, I think I'll get a dog companion and call her ... oh, damn, I should have written it down when it came to me. Well, I will when I remember it again, if I ever do. And it was so clever, too. Sigh. Jon in rural BC, Canada

Oooh. This is a bit long. Get yourself a green tea and have a read. 😂😁🐸I only found your channel a couple of days ago …. And have been binge watching several at a time since. Just watched your latest Q&A and found it really fun. I have a VW Crafter van that I bought new in 2016 and my brother built it out to my plan. I’m 74 so am retired but am not living out of my van. My hobby is quilting and I’d never have enough room for all the fabric and paraphernalia that I’d want to take!!! I call my van The White House, cos it’s white and when I’m travelling I live in it - or should I say out of it. 😁 I’m from Western Australia too, and so far most of my travels have been here, although in 2017 I did a 6 week trip across the Great Central Road to Uluru, Alice Springs and Flinders Ranges with a friend and her husband and 2 cats (they had a caravan). From there we separated and I travelled slowly down the Murray, did a quick couple of days guided tour round Kangaroo Island, then home, calling in at Streaky Bay cos a friend used to go there often. I love my van and always look forward to my next trip. Am enjoying your videos. Haven’t found many Aussie full timers. Cheers. Faye. 🐸
Hi Faye, thank you for sharing your story with me. Sounds like you have had some great adventures and Western Australia is a great place to travel around, I did my first 12 months there. Might see you on the road one day. Keep on quilting 👍😀🐶

Such gorgeous scenery and I loved hearing your answers to the questions! So glad you explained about the Ontario licence plate, I noticed it right away and I was wondering about that. Hello from your old stomping ground in Toronto, and many thanks for your wonderful videos.
Hi Brenna - just watched your last vid and brought back some lovely memories when I used to live in Tasmania with my family when I was young we used to travel all around tassie - the scenery in the southwest looks a lot like Scotland (I reside in the UK now) - I have a dog and van also and feel really inspired by your solo travelling - just to let you know we are paying £2 for a litre of diesel in the UK at the moment but it doesn't stop us! Its such a great life if you can do it - love your dog Abbie - safe travels x
Hi, I'm so enjoying your travels. Thanks for sharing. Your practical info is much appreciated. I'm on the verge of following in your footsteps. My late husband and I had a 25ft Swagman with bells and whistles 17 years ago but I want to do it simply this time and you have confirmed that for me with your footage. Hi Breanna Thank you and Abbie for another wonderful video. Everytime I watch your videos I get chills, as I cannot wait to start my own adventure, hopefully the end of this year. You also gave me a wonderful memory to start my morning. My mother used to take me to a little french patisserie in Burlington Ont as a Mommy Daughter treat. We would get eclairs and iced coffees and pretend we were in Paris. Thank you for the lovely memory to start my day. X
I’m enjoying your updates and honest and realistic responses. Your trip to the Gordon Dam has been a walk through memory lane. Like you I was petrified of going down to the Gordon Dam wall. I did go but my stomach was in my throat! I’m seriously looking at buying myself a van to solo travel and your videos are inspiring. Keep enjoying the journey 😊
Hello Brenna I real enjoyed this part of your trip. Tasmania is a beautiful part of Australia I have made a short trip with my husband and would love to go back one day. All that walking you and Abby do through the bush have you ever seen snakes. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking through the bush on my own I would be looking behind me all the time. Thanks for sharing your travels with us. Stay safe and healthy and give Abby a big hug from me she is just beautiful and how old is she. Can't wait for another video Cheers
Hi Breanna, thankyou so much for your videos I follow along as I am planning a trip to Tassie with my dog. I notice some of the walks you do are in national parks and you have your puppy with you. Are these all dog friendly I am wanting to favourite places in my WikiCamps. Thanks again Kath x
Wow those spark plugs should have diamonds encrusted on them. That’s a lot for plugs. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. You look like you are having a great time.
@@BrennaLivingJoyfully yes they will pay for themselves. That’s a very good choice. I drive everyday. Here in the states a lot of insurance companies pay for taxi services to your doctor and home. Fuel is killing me as I only get mileage. I’m hoping it sorts out soon.
Thank you for all that info! I didn't notice the number plate, but l did notice your interesting mix of accents. Mainly Australian but definitely something US/Canadian every so often. Interesting stuff. I thought, "Oh goodie!"" Found an Aussie lady travelling solo around Oz. Then l thought no, what accent is that? Then l thought yeah, Australian. Oh wow --- that's my reason I haven't started my van life yet is " my HORSE" and of course my Mother is now "101" However; I'm hating to leave them behind ---- planning on moving in van but keeping apt only For a night to re-boot & shower until I fig out what to do with my horse as I board him at a very expensive facility: How long have you had your horse -- since 4months & now 28 yrs old --- looks & acts 10
Such a happy, positive and realistic traveller with lots of great experience and wisdom to share. Wish Toyota still made the Hi Ace, it's so spacious and reliable, and you can mostly get parts. Hope it's going well back in WA, maybe following the Wildflower Trails.
Have you considered using a solar shower? With the Australian sunshine, it would be relatively easy to create warm water - not too hot but ok for a shower or washing clothes.
I imagine you will head up the east coast of Tas, when you do there is a fantastic free camp ground, long drop toilets but no water. Right on a beautiful safe beach and dog friendly. Between Triabunna and Swansea great place to spend a few nights.
Most excellent mxz pilgrims .. burrrt im gunna have to take orff a coupla points for scraping up the van (van abuse )..😂🤣😂😎pip pips and carryon pilgrims
Lovely views and walks. So much beautiful country to see. We haven’t got a van yet. Might hire one first to see how I manage it. However have been going away for a few days at a time, not far from home and discovering wonderful areas. Capertee Valley, NSW is our current favourite. You have encouraged me to go discover. Thank you. Love seeing your followers increase and I’m not surprised, always interesting watching and listening to you.

another great video, wow, those views..can't wait. I have a question please, when you go back to the main land how does Abbey travel, in the van or in a crate? and is it expensive to take a dog on the boat?
Thanks Cheryl, Abby has to go into a crate on the ferry with all the other dogs. They check on them regularly and they have water and I put her bed in. The cost is $22.
If you happen to need some company or a group hug on your journey just read through some of the wonderful comments left for you. Am a fan and have subbed.

Loving your approach to life. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. Have just discovered your video's and am watching them all. 🙏💖🌻
Glad you like them!
Great to hear some of the questions and answers nice to know more about you 😃
Oh wow --- that's my reason I haven't started my van life yet is " my HORSE" and of course my Mother is now "101"
However; I'm hating to leave them behind ---- planning on moving in van but keeping apt only
For a night to re-boot
& shower until I fig out what to do with my horse as I board him at a very expensive facility:
How long have you had your horse -- since 4months & now 28 yrs old --- looks & acts 10
I got my horse when he was 6yrs and he will be 22 in October
Such a happy, positive and realistic traveller with lots of great experience and wisdom to share.
Wish Toyota still made the Hi Ace, it's so spacious and reliable, and you can mostly get parts.
Hope it's going well back in WA, maybe following the Wildflower Trails.
Toyota do still make a Hiace though the newer ones have a proper hood/bonnet which I think I would prefer.😊
Have you considered using a solar shower? With the Australian sunshine, it would be relatively easy to create warm water - not too hot but ok for a shower or washing clothes.
I actually have a solar shower and have used it occasionally. The issue was privacy. I am going to try using a pop up shower tent.
Hello from Oregon 🏕✌safe travels
Hello there Patsy😀
Just rub that door with emery paper and spray with a cheap can of paint to stop rusting more. Then fix later if you want
I actually have been carrying the rust proof paint for 6 months 😳, probably should get around to using it.😂
Fabulous video Brenna. Thank you for sharing! Hope you’ve made it to my wonderful state of Queensland.
Thanks, I will share where I am in my next video….. hopefully this coming weekend.😊
Really enjoying your videos. Only found you yesterday and started at the beginning. I can see how far you have come. Love your outlook on life
Thanks Jodie 😊
I imagine you will head up the east coast of Tas, when you do there is a fantastic free camp ground, long drop toilets but no water. Right on a beautiful safe beach and dog friendly. Between Triabunna and Swansea great place to spend a few nights.
Thanks Deborah, I will check it out.👍

Lovely views and walks. So much beautiful country to see. We haven’t got a van yet. Might hire one first to see how I manage it. However have been going away for a few days at a time, not far from home and discovering wonderful areas. Capertee Valley, NSW is our current favourite. You have encouraged me to go discover. Thank you.
Love seeing your followers increase and I’m not surprised, always interesting watching and listening to you.
Thanks Jennifer, it is amazing how many wonderful places are not far from home that we never see. Good to hear you exploring your area.👏👏😀

@@BrennaLivingJoyfully that would be awesome!!
Mayfield Beach. It may not be on the app you use.
I have found it on WikiCamps and added to my planner.
Can you give us your music links on your videos please !.
All the music I use is from imovie and I am not sure how to add a link .
@@BrennaLivingJoyfully Thats all good thanks Brenna.
❤❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏
another great video, wow, those views..can't wait.
Thanks, yes there is a lot of support here in the comments. I am truly blessed.😀
How often do you shower?
It depends 🤔
How many hours a day do you need to work?
I need to work about 10 hours a week
@@BrennaLivingJoyfully without being to personal could you give an estimate of your monthly income.
Around $3000 a month
Bright, road from Mansfield to King Valley. Mansfield cemetery for the police ned Kelly shot. Camp stringybark Creek, Ned Kelly tree. robbiesfishing got a video. Powels lookout. Into winerys in King Valley, cut across to Greta cemetery, Kelly's graves. Glenrowan for robotic show of the shoot out.
Wow, thanks for sharing this, I will have to start marking these spots in my planner.👍😀
Good morning Brenna Living Joyfully! I'm enjoying your traveling/campus content. But I haven't subscribed. The thing is I'm not a guy. I'm guessing most of your subscribers are not guys.
If you could be inclusive with your comments I'd be happy to subscribe.
Bright Blessings! 💛🌻💛🌻💛
Hi Morgayne, I don’t understand what you are saying in your comment. Could you please try to explain for me? Thanks
@@BrennaLivingJoyfully I'm offended by being called a guy/guys.
Okay, I never thought about it relating to a gender but I can see your point. Thanks for letting me know, I will stop using that word from now on. I appreciate your honest feedback.🥰
@@BrennaLivingJoyfully Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to consider my comment! Bright Blessings. And subscribed! 💛🌻💛🌻💛
