I like the first photograph with a lot of negative space and the person standing on the stairs the most. Thank you so much for this wonderful episode 👍😊👍
Interesting video! This is one of the best street photography videos I've seen. Additionally, it was great seeing Monterrey, Mexico...I've never seen anything from there before!
Great episode. Superia looks very good shot at 100, will definitely try that soon. It’s difficult to pinpoint a favorite shot, but that minimalistic pic with the guy in red is gorgeous. Your favorite pic, guys in a bus stop, is short of a marvel.
the group of guys in the rougher area! light and the colors all to the point! street life mexico but the decision was not a easy one sehr kurzweilig und auf wiedersehen
The shots looks so surreal 👌🏾 The stock paired perfectly with the Leica glass and of course the subject and photographer had a part to play lol. Also the scans and edit are impressive!
Great video as always Robin! Was a pleasure to watch and hear your thoughts behind some photos in the video, when you mentioned how the arm of that person leaning against the wall and the runner drew you into that photo. Thank you for your hard work in continually uploading videos, I'm sure it takes its toll. Would like to say I am grateful for it, you have inspired me to be more bold and take the opportunities shooting street gives us. Look forward to more videos!
Monterrey looked like a ghost town in this video. It was much more lively - especially around Macroplaza, Barrio Antiguo and Parque Fundidora when I visited two weeks ago. Life is starting to return to normal. Thanks for sharing as always. Oh and #1 is my favourite.
That's my city! Great to see you visited, the thing with Monterrey is that you won't really find anyone on the streets in the afternoon because of the high temperatures and harsh sun, also if it is weekday there are less people. I love doing street photo at night on weekends, streets get busy and alive🤌
I loved the photos that you'd take in Independencia. As a local, well, i know it can be pretty _"unsafe"_ to say the least, but its great you enjoyed it!
I can relate with Pablo. Just yesterday we had an awesome sunrise with beautiful pinkish colours and tints. Yea guess who had a roll of HP5 left in his camera 😅
Awesome video as always dude! I love the shot at 3:15. It's nice to see some great results from Superia 400. I tried Superia when I was just starting with color film but didn't like the results very much. I'd like to try it again and overexpose it a little
A lot of well respect Photographers like Martin Parr used consumer Films ( mostly with flash ) not because it was cheap but it gave them the look they desired.
Another interesting video, being new to film photography, so new I haven’t even had a film developed, I’m learning from you all the time, even just types of film is all new to me. Ok, so I have shot plenty of film in the past, but that was on cheap point and shoots taking photos on holidays, days out, that sort of thing but before I really got into photography, especially Street Photography which is a passion of mine that I really want to take as far as I can. I’d love to travel but funds are just not available, even going to London isn’t on the cards at the minute, unfortunately I’m unable to work due to a number of health issues, not making excuses I worked for as long as I could until my body told me I couldn’t. I’m using a Pentax KM and and Minolta 500si at the moment, I do have a Pentax 1000 and a Minolta 7000 too but I seem to have an issue with the 7000. I was honoured to be given Horne Pentax and a bunch of other gear from a friend of mine, he is actually one of my old Surgeons that retired and took up photography, gaining a couple of diplomas and degrees and the gear he gave me belonged to his late father.......now you see why I said I was honoured, especially with him now being a photographer himself.
I always find Superia has a slightly blue-green cast or it least it does from various UK C41 processors. I prefer the colour balance of Kodak Ultramax 400 pulled to 200 ISO for use on my various film Leicas. I am allergic (after years of being careless, not wearing gloves in the darkroom) to the Hydroquinone in the C41 process, so I cannot process my own colour films, although I can do my own B&W with HQ-free Rodinal.
Love the street photography you do. Wondering why Mexico? Assume you're of European (Deutschland) origin, and wouldn't i be easier or more economical to go to Spain? Thanks!
Thank you Daniel! Mexico was the better option since it's much more affordable there compared to Spain, the weather is better in winter and can live a normal life and pretty much do whatever you want.
I got a friend of mine who want to sale his LEICA M6 none TTL black body to me for £500.00 and in Uk they are NOT CHEAP And you need £1.500 to as much as £3.000 or more to buy then second Hand AND THEIR NO SUCH THING AS CHEAP
@@therealsirrobin actually, no. In this session you could have had some absolute striking shots a’la Alex Webb, but you went the other way and have too much detail in shadows and absent blacks. Try it the other way next time:)
I’m liking the 2nd to last photo made. The gritty place with the colours and the painting with gold! Awesome 😎👊🏻
Thank you! Congratulations, you are the winner of the print. Can you shoot me a message over on Instagram or through my website?
@@therealsirrobin
Wow! Awesome!
Hi Robin how are you? I love the way you make photos and Mexico is on our bucket list.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Tris
Hi Robin. The first print is the one i prefer. Thanks for your videos, so inspiring each time. You improve so much my own practise.
The guy wearing red, standing in the stairs and the large amount of negative space is great!
Keep up the good work!
This is my city! It's so inspiring to see you photograph it! Awesome as always
Great video, good street photography, Mexico, ...
One more time a really nice moment that make my Sunday afternoon.
You have a very very good hand/eye with the couples, your second favorite, the one with a girl with the roses is gorgeous.
I like the guy in front of the shoe shop (6:22) most. Thank you for the funny episode with the mistakes.
Excellent, Sir Robin. The red man on the stairs is fine art.
love your street photography works! + your filmlog video!
That last print was my favorite too. The composition and the color blocking was so balanced. Really one of the best pictures i've seen.
That minimalistic photo of a guy with a red shirt under the stair 😍
Great episode. Superia looks very good shot at 100, will definitely try that soon. It’s difficult to pinpoint a favorite shot, but that minimalistic pic with the guy in red is gorgeous. Your favorite pic, guys in a bus stop, is short of a marvel.
Another great video. Stairs shot is awesome!
carmencita‘s black frame option is just a winner...
Absolutely!
Love that photo with the person at the bottom of the stairs!!
the first and the last picture look amazing!
Amazing video and photos like always 👌🏼
Great shots as always! 🙌🙌🙌
the group of guys in the rougher area! light and the colors all to the point! street life mexico
but the decision was not a easy one
sehr kurzweilig und auf wiedersehen
Great to see an intro! And a cool one, too. :)
What a nice colours! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
First photo with the man in the red shirt. Fan Ho vibes for sure!
Great video, luckily most tough neighborhoods consist of good blokes just trying to survive :)
A lot of great shots as always Robin (Y)
The shots looks so surreal 👌🏾 The stock paired perfectly with the Leica glass and of course the subject and photographer had a part to play lol. Also the scans and edit are impressive!
Super chido que vengan a México !!
Great video! Love that mirror reflection shit with the two people leaning against the car.
The construction guys said "Put us in newspaper or TV!", very nice to see you in those streets that I know very well, nice episode Robin.
First and last are best. The minimalist artsy shot with the red lines is very artsy but I prefer the humanity in the last group shot.
2:30 What a nice photo, this film looks marvellous indeed.
Great video as always Robin! Was a pleasure to watch and hear your thoughts behind some photos in the video, when you mentioned how the arm of that person leaning against the wall and the runner drew you into that photo.

Thank you Benjamin. Yes, it's not easy to keep posting videos, especially in there crazy we are living in right now.

No bench sleepers in this video 😉👍 the images turned out great. I really like the location you went to.

Beautiful video and shots
Love the colors on the building en in the sceneries.
Thanks for sharing.
Monterrey! 🖤 🎞️
I loved the photos that you'd take in Independencia. As a local, well, i know it can be pretty _"unsafe"_ to say the least, but its great you enjoyed it!
The last image looks like a composite, but since it isn’t, I think that makes it super interesting. Nice Robin.
Very nice Video. I would love to go to Mexico!
Great colors and comps 💰
Great episode! Love the image with the guy standing at the stairs - luckily he was wearing red clothes.
15:52 Ensueño nupcial roughly translates to marriage dream, which I think compliments his expression and the head covering a lot, amazing shot.
Really enjoyed this one!
I can relate with Pablo. Just yesterday we had an awesome sunrise with beautiful pinkish colours and tints. Yea guess who had a roll of HP5 left in his camera 😅
He was also shooting HP5 that day. 😂
After watching this episode I might give Superia400 a try too, since my pro400h stock is near to an end.

Thank you! Yes, go for it. 👍
Monterrey is a very interesting city to shoot. I did some cool images last time I was there.
Saludos from Monterrey!
The 1 is very graphic and minimalist with the guy in red
I like superia premium 400, its great for the tropics.
A lot of well respect Photographers like Martin Parr used consumer Films ( mostly with flash ) not because it was cheap but it gave them the look they desired.
I want to go to Monterrey now
Love Mexico

Monterrey! Close to where I am.
Sehr schöne Episode!
awesome video
Really great how you „pick“ your compositions by just walking by. I love the first, the minimal one.
Looking forward for the next coming so called “beautiful mistake” episode 😄
It's happening today. 😃
great vid
Hooking up with the cabbie was a smart move. He provided you with a “ghetto pass”
Looks way safer then Los Angeles does these days..
Looks like i have to try that film. 🙂
Robin Sir ..can you please also try Fuji 200 and provide your view on the film. I guess it's the cheapest colour film stock.
I already have videos that feature C200 and more will come soon. 👍

I like both stocks. Ultramax is easier to get though, at least where I live.
No mistakes made, just happy little accidents... (-Bob Ross)
if im ever in germany after lockdown etc i'll look you up and we can shoot some rolls.
No comment today, thanks.
Love the FUJI. Hopefully they rerelease 400H.
Would love that too! It's such a wonderful film stock!
Maybe they do like the acros II
do you make your own prints? they look awesome!
No, I send them off.
As always, nice images! You shot it at 100 so you also let it develop at 100? Thanks
No! No pulling was done.
Love the street photography you do. Wondering why Mexico? Assume you're of European (Deutschland) origin, and wouldn't i be easier or more economical to go to Spain? Thanks!

Nice ♡
I wish film availability could be more dependable. Nowadays you can't tell if a film stock is going to disappear.
That unfortunately true. 🙁
Hallo! Hast Du die Entwicklungszeit reduziert oder im Labor ein Pull-Entwicklung geordert?
Danke, lg,
Stephan
Nein, wurde normal entwickelt.👍
@@therealsirrobin Danke für die Info....LgS
Hi! did you use the Noritsu or the frontier scanner? Thx
As far as I remember Frontier.
for these shots, you rate the metering to 100 ISO instead of 400?
Yes, kind of. I am not really metering, much rather guessing the exposure.
It is nice film, but it doubled in price a couple years back, at least here in Canada. I haven't used it much since..
It got more expensive here in Europe too like pretty much all color negative film stocks. 😔
Hey Robin If I win I want the last one please :) Let me win this time please
I got a friend of mine who want to sale his LEICA M6 none TTL black body to me for £500.00 and in Uk they are NOT CHEAP And you need £1.500 to as much as £3.000 or more to buy then second Hand AND THEIR NO SUCH THING AS CHEAP
That's in insane deal if it is in good condition!
comment to win a print :D
Define "cheap"
These would have been much better if you did not over-expose by 2 stops…it’s anyway such a dumb thing to do. Weak, washed out colors…
Don't you think that this is highly subjective and a matter of personal preference?
