Big thanks! I didn't want my Naomi games in their own folder, I like all arcade stuff on their own and this is what I was looking for. Way easier than I expected, too.
Thanks, Im actually doing this now and I'm currently editing the emulator config file to tell what emulator each game should play.. I'm actually gonna compile all my games into one folder so a few thousand games hehe good thing notepads++ can add lines easily else doing it manually per rom would be a nightmare haha, now I need to figure out how to make a gamelist for it since scraper is down
@@therexershow for some reason I can't install skyscraper... I get qt5 issues when installing stuff and I've already tried updating retropi and also the sudo update and upgrades but keep getting errors... Running an orangepi pc btw hehe
Thank you so much for this video! I was finally able to get SNES, PlayStation and N64 to display under the arcade list in my build. Have you done this process with any Daphne games? I’m trying to get Dragon’s Lair, Space Ace, and Cliffhanger to work under the arcade list, but when I boot the games up under arcade, I get an error message saying it either can’t find the rom or the .m2v file needed for the game, yet these daphne games work perfectly fine under the daphne folder. If I had to guess, I need to change the .txt file and change the directory for the daphne games, but I’m not sure. Do you have any experience working with daphne files or getting them to work under your arcade list? Thank you!
I don’t have much experience with Daphne but check this page out. I would guess something is pointing to the “Roms/Daphne “ folder that you need to redirect to Roms/arcade. It can be done for sure. Just need to figure that out. retropie.org.uk/docs/Daphne/ Please let me know if you figure it out. Might be good to do a video on that.
@@therexershow I finally found a solution. As it turns out, all I had to do was move the .daphne files (which include the .m2v, .ogg, and .txt files) into arcade while keeping the roms themselves in the rom folder under Daphne. I can’t believe I finally have Dragon’s Lair on the same menu as PAC-Man, Mario Kart 64 and Twisted Metal haha. Thank you for your help!
so helpful! your videos are the reason why i decided to have a dedicated mini pc to run retropie! i was wondering is there any way to have retropie x86 run games through a separate hard drive on ubuntu?
I believe so. There is a channel “leepsvideo” that may have something on it. Not sure there is a specific vid with a pc, but some similar concepts should apply for a SBC
Hi! It's me again.. so I'm currently trying to figure out how to make a single folder with all my games but using # in the name of a folder to make a subfolder in a system.. are you familiar with how to get it to work?
Tanz Archeart not really, but what kind of folders are you putting in the one folder? Why don’t you just create folders within that one folder manually and then drag each rom into their designated folder?
@@therexershow that's basically what I'm doing... Well Naomi & atomiswave have their own folders and require certain bios. You should start by adding your Roms to the atomiswave folder for Naomi or atomiswave , run with flycast or reicast and then if you want to move them to another folder, such as moving Naomi to the arcade folder, you would follow this video and add flycast or reicast to the es systems config.
so i tried this and it worked accept only some work. i use lr-flycast t works for most atomiswave &* naomi. I couldnt get cvssnk2 to work tho. you got a google link to that rom? the one i have is 119 megabites. doesnt boot
I'm using dolphin emulator. Built into Retropie. It works, but with my arcade i'm limited to the number of games because i don't have a wiimote. So mainly only play Mario Kart.

This is exactly what i was looking for to add naomi and atomiswave games to arcade section.
Thank you so much!

I may do a video on it. I don't know. Without a numchuck most of the games are irrevelevant on my arcade.
