A Resort-Inspired Family Backyard

- Designer Erin Feasby of Feasby Bleeks Design gives us a tour of her spacious backyard, where she recently installed a pool. The resort-like space features a pergola with a pair of hanging boho swings. Twin cabanas with exterior siding bring a beach-like feel to the space. Perfect for entertaining, the backyard also features a hot tub, modern fire pit, conversation set and an al fresco dining area. A combination of lush greenery and gorgeous plants soften the hardscaping throughout.

We have huge trees and have lots of shade all around the backyard. We also have big umbrellas, they just would get in the way of the video 😉

We open the pool mid April and close it late September. Summers in Canada (including May & June) are very warm, often incredibly hot! It gets lots of use!

It is a hard choice, especially outdoors! We used Simply White from Benjamin Moore.
Where do you find the patios that’s match the concrete?
REALLY awesome, but the fact this show is in Canada does it mean this house is in Canada? If so pool for 3 to 4 weeks may be not that great unless you have a lot of money.
Summers are long and hot in Toronto. Swim season is 3 to 4 months, not weeks.
What you don’t see in the video is we have a retractable cover. We open our pool in mid April and use it all the way through to the end of September. It’s worth it 👌🏻
What colour/brand of paint did you use to paint the house white? It looks great

Erin appears to be the antithesis of a Karen. I liked how she presented, sounded, referenced cost as a real thing, and postponed the kitchen for her family. The finished area (for a few years anyway) looks great.
