Whoever insisted Janeane Garofalo only gets eight minutes either doesn't know her standup and doesn't get that she can't operate with a ticking clock unless she turns it into a schtick... OR they DO know her stand up and how dare they! How dare they! You know she is the Fran Lebowitz of our generation! How dare anyone try to cage her with time. She's beyond all of space and time. Janeane Garofalo is an international treasure. It would be difficult to get a bank to calculate her value among the trust funds and stock portfolios and precious jewels left by others. She's in a CLASS by herself and the TEACHER threw up his hands and left to fly to Jamaica. We're on our own trying to educate ourselves about just how much of an international treasure Janeane Garofalo truly is. You can't just say there's a one with a whole bunch of zeroes after it. I think the symbol of PI would factor in at some point and all the calculators of the universe would implode. Janeane Garofalo is an international treasure divided by pi. There we go. That's a good start to figuring out the math. Could I recite this cacophony of words in less than eight minutes? You think I got that in me? One more thing! Douglas Adams once said "the answer to the question of Life The Universe and Everything is FORTY-TWO" but the question to that answer is Janeane Garofalo with a one and a bunch of zeroes and then you add the PI symbol and all known reality "all those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain." You heard me! Roy Batty's final monologue in Blade Runner was FORTY-TWO words long! Everything is connected! Tears in rain! Peace! I'm out!

I far prefer her social commentary via stand-up. I always feel like I am learning something. I don't know if I have that sort of capacity, but it FEELS good.
We always love anything Janeane Garofalo does. Unfortunately, there's way too little of her (no pun intended). I mean, we don't see enough of her (I'm sorry). Ok, she looks good in glasses. That's really not what I meant. Well, sorry, you know what I mean. She is a favorite, for sure. Thank you.
Janeane Garofalo has one of the sharpest wits I've ever encountered in my 64 years. That she doesn't burn the stages of stand-up comedy across the country is an outrage and attributable to one reason alone-----fkn politics. True. Intellectuals think rambling is a sign of a thinking person. But like her mention of the “start of a a pandemic .” Sounds like a germaphobic lady.

I remember talking to a guy I knew who was a stand-up back when the material actually had to be clever, well timed and thought out, witty, and therefore, funny. He told me that he and some of his cronies were in the wings watching as this kind of unfunny stream-of-consciousness crap (with, of course, the invariable liberal overtones, Garofalo's in particular) began to seep into the field and going, "Man, if this is the sort of thing you people want....".
Or she just got healthy and lost weight. What the f*** is wrong with you all shaming people one way or another. Leave the broad alone. She's funny and she's doing her job
Janeane Garofalo is my generation's Fran Lebowitz, and thank God for it.
hahahaha NOLA is sinking. dirty swampland.
All the years being a comedian and she still comes on stage with her jokes written down.
She just writes each topic so she won't forget about what she wants to talk about
She's always done that. It helps her to stay on topic. She follows her thoughts wherever they go...
Janeane Garofalo needs a new filmed stand up hour, or series. I want to hear her talk for at least an hour and her take on the world today.

"...Guilty of overestimating their appeal." Janeane has managed to define a whole generation.
Great line.

I came back to this, I remembered I thought it was really funny.
Kind of uncanny that she mentioned a pandemic in October 2019.
Nuts. I need to look up if she’s a germophobe and fell for this hoax
@@chriskazaam896 . What hoax??

I remember her from 'Larry Sanders show'
@Mike Knight I have never watched that show I am sure it was great
Underrated
Love everything she does. No cheap shots or mocking others. Just pure creativity.
I like her but sometimes her stand up is not very funny
She’s done that joke before where she says something profound and goes “guy fieri said that” it’s fucking hilarious.
This is like watching ADHD do standup.
I could barely follow it.
She is looped on postmenopausal SSRIs
@@colesteeleA has been for 30 years.

Your words really resonate with me because I have always felt the same way. Especially since the days running up to the Iraq War.
My fav part was the "bonus room"
Ghost joke is great.
She has always been the most adorable ...
♥♥♥♥
❤
Hope she enjoyed the expedition

Haha.
This is what Prozac looks like doing standup.
Thank you for keeping on Janine, your prospective is so clever
She would play me in the movie of my life.
Very hilarious
Love her!
She is still the same and I love her humor! Aging gracefully too💜
This is hilarious!

so sharp she needs a piece of paper or notepad

Dead Files -- lots of great evidence, best ghost show on any medium. And they help living and dead people :)

lolz idk
She reminds me of Dennis Miller.
How dare you.
Maybe her intros., Until they go horribly nowhere
Dennis Miller's similes kill me.
She should be married to Henry Rollins.
Either her or Henry should have been married to Kennedy.
...MTV Kennedy.

She’s 55 here. GTFO.

Yikes
It's no wonder why stand up comedy is a dying art.

It’s all I see: schumer, chapelle, hart, Barr..all rambling w/ recquisite applause.
I mean, it is the difference between Free-Style Rap and rehearsed Rap. If a person can still be funny and do it extemporaneously, I'll take it.
Shame what she did to her face...
@SuperTrader Mikey That ain't aging. That's bad elective surgery. Look it up.
