I have had eastern box turtles since I moved to the USA in 2005. All my eastern box turtles were rescued from family members or a random person that owned them for years and couldn't take care of them any longer. The best enclosure and great quality
As much as I love these enclosures by Aivituvin, having a tortoise that needs higher humidity (cherryhead) I struggled keeping the humidity above 50-60% indoors in Florida. My solution was a small soft plastic green house cover from Amazon. I had to modify it to sit on top and have the soft plastic cover hang over the edges of the enclosure. Now I can make and maintain the humidity at what ever % I need very easily.
I heard you. But in my experience I have some many Red foot tortoise and the is no humidity in my house back home where they are actually from. I have one here and is in a Aivituvin enclosure and has grow healthy. Every other day i water spray the enclosure keeping the mulch humid but havent had any problems. I thought of what you did before but mine seem in good health
