- The loader, bucket and power steering on my Farmall 460 are not working at all because the hydraulics were plugged up. Today - I repaired that little problem by changing and cleaning the hydraulic filters.

Here's a bit of information about me - The Otter Creek Redneck...
First of all, I really don't fit the stereotype that most people think of when they hear the word "Redneck".
I'm just a guy living in rural Otter Creek Township in northwest Wisconsin. Why do I live here? Well, there's a dirt road 100 feet from my driveway. The nearest neighbor is a 1/4 mile away and I can walk north out the back door and not cross a road for 6 miles.
I have a pickup truck, in fact I have 3 Chevy trucks (1999, 2002 and 2013)
I have a tractor, a 1962 Farmall 460.
I go to tractor pulls.
I go snowshoeing.
I snowmobile.
I hunt.
I fish.
But then I go to work everyday to a high tech job in town and my deer stand has WiFi access.

Thanks, I'm heading to town to pick up a filter for my uncle's tractor. By the time you read this, it will be done!
Good deal! It's a pretty easy job.
Do you have a video on how to replace hydraulic pump and how to remove air from the hydraulics system. Great video.
I don't have that video, I've not needed to replace the pump (Thank Goodness!) But - here's a video to do that: ua-cam.com/video/tEpPrIcfc8I/v-deo.htmlsi=QgGP97pnZPlfCMk0
Drain all the oil and try to get the water out
Thank you for sharing. I just got a 460. I see that you don't need to replace all the fluid when changing the filter. Good to know. Looks like you lose about a quart in this process. Do you top that off?
I found a quart of hydraulic fluid on the floor this morning. I suspect it's because I left the bucket up so pressure on the system pushed it out of some coupler or seal. That should not happen I think. Anyway thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching Andrew! I do top of the fluid when I'm done.
Nice to see somebody not wearing those nitrile gloves
Not for me. I like getting my hands dirty. Besides gasoline cleans grease off my hands.
