  • MotoVlog with my 1979 Honda CT Trail 90! First Vlog after I have rebuilt Fluffbut's Engine. It feels so good to be back on my bike! Welcome to Lac Du Bois Grasslands Provincial Park. The Area we are Vlogging in today is a personal favorite and special place to me. It's were I learned to ride a dirt bike as a kid. The rolling Grass hills change as you reach one of the many lakes or the tree line Home to many unique plants and animals. Today we talk about Breaking in a newly rebuilt engine, How we change our riding style as we Age, and a bit on Cattle Guards. Thankx for joining the long climb into the grasslands at 2500m. #hondaCT90 #Trail90 #SupportMVC

Reminds me a bit of the desert in Washington state. 11 mins in, will come back and catch the rest later. Enjoy those trails!

Yup, Batchelor heights is a playground, for sure. We used to get dropped of at McQueen lake and mountain bike the 30 k back down onto westside road. Very cool area for off roading. :) :) Never did conquer the widowmaker, though.

Humm wonder if my 90 could climb the wodow maker? We did make it to the top on a Jeep once.

@@AdventuresWithNimby WHAT ? In a JEEP ???? Are you insane ? :P :P You could probably make it ( on your bike ) up to the bottom of the rock face.....maybe. lol I tried on a Suzuki 80...that's as far as I got. Even coming down it on my Trek , I started beneath the rock....lol

@@RandysRides it was a very jacked jeep. And yes that rock face is what everyone fears! Watched alot of bikes and trucks flip or skid or just get scared and turn back only 20 ft from the top. Your right that last bit is one hell of a big step.

Thankx Mate if you like these kind of trails I'd recomend any off this main Road Tranquille Creek area, Dew drop, Jamison creek, IronMask hill area, Inks Lake, Robin's range, and the many back roads between Hefley and Adam's lake around sun peaks. But honestly it's all good very few trails here not worth exploring! Let me know next time your in the area if you need directions or a guide.

@@AdventuresWithNimby awesome! I will send you a message when I am up there on bike and maybe we can meet up for a coffee or something if you are free. It's one of those areas that I have always wanted to explore and spend a few days just riding around and camping.

Personally I don't worry about breaking in easy. The only time I've had problem with oil consumption issues is when manufacturer had put wrong spec rings in the motor but never admitted they had made a mistake. I don't think it hurts any to take it easy though, so if you feel better doing that, I'm with you.

Thankx In the end I dont think it matters a hole lot as long as your not working the parts past there normal working tolerances.

Hey, man, I subbed you back, keep on Rockinit! One of my mates in Switzerland who eggs bad drivers just had his bike seized by the Swiss cops, not for the egging but,..he changed his sprockets to get more acceleration and the Swiss cops seized his bike and computer because in his You Tube video it showed the bike going 137 KPH (85 MPH). I have since that time tried to focus my GoPro above the speedometer. Just sayin,...Best Regards! {Oh, his channel is cattleNhay and he is the Eggman)
