@@richierock1300 took mine in this morning. i was getting "VSC system failures" on and off when driving. they said . ~ 360 for parts. ~560 for labor... and that this is what needs to be done. Think I'll be picking up some parts on the way home and declining their service. thanks
@@tophlovr ended up just going through with the repair, for the diagnosis was already $200. I didn't want to risk doing the repair myself and it not being fixed. However, the parts they listed were spark plugs and ignition coils. Once I get to my car I will double check exactly what it said on the bill.
You're saving me a boat load of cash. Great video. Thank you!
Think the 1st thing to do is blow it clean!
You're a lifesaver! thank you for this, also RIP your highlander
It is possible to do this without taking any of the plenium or intake apart if you know where to look before hand
Well done..
Hey would you mind providing a list of the tools you needed, Ratchet & socket sizes and extensions. attempting to do this on my 2008 3.5 highlander
Maybe watch video with a paper and pen and write them down as the video gos
What are you do if you can’t get that back bolt off or lose
Spray with penetrate and let it sit tap on the top of bolt use a small electric impact driver to try break it loose if breaks then have to drill out
I just had engine pressure washed, now got code for ignitintion coils.. i shouldn't have to dig that deep to blow em out huh
Probably all wet , pull the front ones and clean out and put the dielectric grease on the boots like in video then run it see how it goes
Yesterday I paid $1,200 for the 3 back coil to be replaced 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Ouch

@@nexttoken Did replacing the coils fix your VSC failure? My mom's car is doing the same thing and I want to be sure before I go through all this.
