Peace be with you. Jesus is coming back, but Protestantism is not the true church but instead Orthodoxy is, it is because the Bible says to keep on to the traditions we(the church) teach 2nd Thessalonians 2:15, and that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church Matthew 16:18-19, therefore Protestantism doesn’t follow tradition and doesn’t follow the Bible either, the Bible is also a tradition. @@dreaddshorts if you mean catholicism then no. The church isn't catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran or otherwise. It's every true believer. In fact the catholic church has been infiltrated by Satan for centuries. That's not to say there aren't some true believers in the catholic church but they are deceived into practicing and spreading many false doctrines. There may even be a few good priests but the higher you go in the ranks the more satanic the people are with the pope being one of the most evil men alive. I'm not trying to be mean but that's just the way it is. There is no salvation in any institution created by man.

"And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,"

@@airrowZ my brother in christ this belief asserts that once a person has been truly saved, they cannot lose their salvation. Here u have some biblical examples and verses
      1. **The Thief on the Cross (Luke 23:39-43)**:
      - In this passage, one of the criminals crucified alongside Jesus asks Him to remember him when He comes into His kingdom. Jesus responds, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." This is evidence that salvation, once granted by Jesus, is assured. The Thief had no time for water baptism or any other religios stuff.
      2. **John 10:27-29**:
      - "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand."
      - This passage is often interpreted to mean that believers are secure in their salvation because it is guaranteed by both Jesus and the Father.
      3. **Romans 8:38-39**:
      - "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
      - Paul’s assurance here is taken to mean that once someone is in Christ, nothing can separate them from God’s love.
      4. **Ephesians 1:13-14**:
      - "In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."
      - The sealing of the Holy Spirit is seen as a guarantee of the believer’s inheritance, which is interpreted to be their eternal salvation.
      5. **Philippians 1:6**:
      - "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
      - This verse is understood to mean that God, who initiates the work of salvation, will also see it through to completion, thus ensuring the perseverance of the believer.
      6. **John 6:37-40**:
      - "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
      - This passage emphasizes Jesus’ commitment to keeping all those given to Him by the Father and ensuring their resurrection on the last day.
So my dear christian brother, how can someone be saved? Tell me, do you trust your own selfish flesh which brings u to sin or do u trust in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior? Do u trust in his sacrifice or yourself?

"Once TRULY saved, always TRULY saved" is the exact same as "Once saved, always saved, as long as you keep saved". They are just different perspectives describing the same way of life.
Please remember to always be mindful that different people have different frameworks of understanding. In this case, people across the world visualize being "saved" in different ways. There's only one TRUE salvation. However, the beatitudes tell us that we don't necessarily have to understand it, as long as we live it when the spirit works throughout our lives.

If I had a nickel for the amount of times someone misunderstood and misrepresented osas, I'd have at least forty bucks....
Look, osas does not deny that you need to be in your word daily, osas does not promote antinomianism (what some have coined as hyper grace) although some very unfortunately misunderstand this and end up promoting it (though not all who use the term hyper grace mean it to mean antinomianism in either word or substance), osas is not intent on promoting laziness but rest in Christ in all that we do, which to many often looks like laziness/slothfulness, and indeed perhaps for many it begins as slothfulness before a babe comes to the fullness of understanding of what rest is.
Osas simply states that once you believe you are saved, because He is righteous and faithful, it is His righteousness not ours, so how we respond to His righteousness is on us, regardless of what you personally believe or think, as it is not of works (done by sinful imperfect man who fails in the way expressed) lest any man should boast.
You should read your bible daily, but don't fret if you fail to meet this, just be rid of the old manna (the old sinful works (equating a failure to meet a daily devotional quota with missing the mark and/or stumbling)) and take for yourself new manna for today and try again, and keep at it until you get it. Nobody is perfect, except for God.

    • @moczs
      @moczs 6 місяців тому

Ok. But that's not OSAS, or at least what OSAS guys teach. Some of them say that telling people to repent and do good works is actually asking them to work for their salvation. I saw people who were probably standing for OSAS saying those things, and I think I used to be one also to a lesser degree. I don't know if you stand with the same ideas but if you don't, you're not believing in OSAS but in perseverance of the saints.
If you and I both agree that we should do good works through the Spirit, which is evidence we're saved and collecting fruits of the Spirit, but that previously-stated works aren't directly working for our salvation, which is done by believing in OUR Lord because we're sinners ; Then you believe in perseverance of the saints.
To put it simplier, faith is necessary. True Faith implies good works. Faith without works is dead (because therefore Jesus won't be your Lord, due to constant unobedience). Works without faith is man-made religion which makes you unsaved because there's no forgiveness of sins.

Hallelujah, welcome to the fold, brother! I am on the fence about it myself, about once saved always saved V being able to lose ones salvation, though for safety sake I tend to lean towards the later. Still, I think you may be committing eisegesis here, that is, reading what you want back into the text. Preachers, which you seem to have the gift for, do like to draw out as much as they can for the good sake of applications, at times regardless of what exactly the text is saying or trying to get across, in this case a miraculous part of the history of Israel. Do you think when the Israelities got those commands about the manna they thought about this whole debate at all? Just as easy I could read into it something like "God giving manna every day proves once saved always saved as he is always giving it" or the like.

    • @Tursla1
      @Tursla1  6 місяців тому

The Israelites didn't need to know all about this debate. God sends present truth that is relevant for to our day. The only thing preventing eisegesis is that Jesus compared himself to manna. If Jesus compared himself to manna then I'm going to wanna study and find out everything that I can about the manna to see how or if it points to Jesus in any way.

It’s connected to the Jesus feeding the 5000 the bread was multiplied, Jesus later said on a boat with the apostles later “did you leave any leftovers?” And then he made comment about the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod
Back in ancient day the way they used to make leavened bread was a sour dough starter, an old loaf was kneaded into a new one to make it leavened. “A leftover”.
Remember that Herod died by getting rated by worms, during the feast of UNLEAVENED BREAD.
So going back to the boat with Jesus he was checking for leaven, it had nothing to do with bread. And leaven is the doctrines, which are passed down generations like a sourdough starter, each new generation corrupted by the last.

Hello and may God bless you and your loved ones.
What do you think about these questions? (they use the metaphorical language of leaven as doctrine):
      1. Is reading/listening to the scriptures without commentaries or interpretations from other people an example of eating unleavened bread?
      2. Since all doctrines are susceptible to corruption, are we all supposed to always eat of unleavened bread?
      3. If we use our own individual unleavened leftovers to make bread for our individual consumption, it will eventually (gradually, naturally and spontaneously) produce leavened bread, right? So the purpose of the yearly feast of unleavened bread may be to make us learn to discard our own old leftovers instead of making efforts to preserve them and reuse them again after the feast ends. What do you think?

This is why its better for Christians to be living records of Jesus (bear record of what the Lord has taught us) and speaking presently what the Lord has written in our hearts. Youre preaching a works based salvation, the Bible makes it clear that we are in fact saved by grace through faith, not of our own doing so if I put my faith in Jesus at least once then Im saved and I cannot lose my salvation. Saying that you have to do things in order to maintain your salvation is really just saying that it depends on you, its all about you, what you do and how you live your life. The truth is that its all about Jesus not about us, people fail to understand that Jesus died the death we deserved BUT He also lived the PERFECT life we could never live and if we believe in Him we receive His imputed righteousness and God sees us as if we never sinned. Your lifestyle does NOT prove your salvation or prove that you were never saved, the way you live will affect the way you will spend your eternity in Heaven, not where youre going to spend it, we will be saved (for believing in Jesus) + rewarded based on how we lived. At 4:21 you say that you cannot rely on a single experience you had years ago, but actually, you CAN and you SHOULD, thats the moment when you became saved and if its truly by faith in Jesus, not by works then there is nothing you can do to receive salvation or to lose it.

    • @Tursla1
      @Tursla1  6 місяців тому

was Jesus preaching a works-based salvation when he said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."?
how do you get to know anybody you don't spend time with? the way we get to know God is by spending time in fellowship and communion with him day by day, seeking him through his Word and through prayer. this is how you get to KNOW God. Just because you believe God exists doesn't mean you know him.
      1 John 5:12
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
what does it mean to "'hath the Son"? when we say stuff like I have a friend or I have a wife, we're saying that we have an intimate relationship with them. We talk to them, we listen to them talk back to us, and we go places and do things with them. that's how you get to know anyone. we talk to God through prayer, listen to him talk back to us through his Word, and we go places and do things with him through Christian witness and outreach to others. this is how you "hath" the Son, or have a relationship with the Son. your eternal destiny is based on whether you knew Jesus or not.
even in His parable about the wedding feast in Matthew 22 Jesus also spoke of the possibility of making a beginning, but not keeping on in the Christian life. The king had prepared the feast. The man had accepted the invitation to the feast. He had made a start. But he had neglected or refused to put on the wedding garment, and when the king came in to examine the guests, the man was found lacking. and then it says to Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness.
Jesus taught the same principle in John 15. He pointed to the vineyards, visible in the moonlit night, and tried once again to explain about the relationship they must sustain to Him in order to have life. He said in verse 6, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” So it is possible to be a branch, but not to abide, or stay with the Vine. And when that separation continues, the time comes that the branch is removed.
we are saved by grace through faith, and the closest system to faith is trust. A casual relationship with someone would not be enough to trust them. trusting God is not just simply nodding your head towards heaven and saying, "God I trust you for my salvation." You would have to take the time to get to know God well enough to trust him. The Bible says that God is trustworthy, but you will never really trust Him until you get to know Him for yourself.

Ok so, I see John 17:3 quoted by people who do not believe in OSAS quite often and Im not sure if it talks about a relationship with Jesus, like how those who are using it to disprove this doctrine claim. I read this verse using the YouVersion app and one of the references is found in Jeremiah 9, verse 24 where knowing God is mentioned aswell. The thing is, in Jer. 9:24 there is no mention of a relationship either, so I think its about, like knowing who God is, after all you have to believe in the Biblical Jesus to be saved (that Jesus Who is the Son of God, lived a perfect sinless life, died the death that we deserved and rose from the dead on the 3rd day).
Concerning the wedding feast, those who were invited were not wealthy and they probably couldnt afford a garment so the garments were probably given to them for free. As for the man who didnt have it, he most likely rejected the gift and I believe this garment represents our faith in Jesus and the feast is the Kingdom of Heaven, without faith in Jesus you cant be accepted in the Kingdom.

@@ChildofGod-ne1iw It is talking about a relationship.
      ‭Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Did you notice that these people that Jesus rejected were Christians? They cast out devils, they've done prophecy seminars and prophesied, and they've done many wonderful works IN Jesus' name, so you can't tell me these people did not believe in Jesus as their Savior. They believed in God, but they did not know him.
This gives you a clue that believing in Jesus is not the same as knowing Jesus, because they did that much and still got rejected. Even in Matthew 25:1-13, we read about the ten virgins, and all of them had vessels, and all of them were looking forward to the coming of the king, but only 5 of the virgins were ready. The other 5 were not ready. Why?
      ‭Matthew 25:12
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Even if you look forward to the second coming of Christ, if you do not know Christ, then you will also be rejected, and I already explained how you get to know God.
And about the wedding garment, Revelation 19 explains what the wedding garment represents. Revelation 19:6-8, And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
The Lamb represents Christ, and a woman in Bible prophecy represents a church, so the marriage of Jesus to his church is about to take place. And to her, the church, was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Some versions say the righteous acts of the saints, or good deeds of God’s holy people.
But as far as we're concerned, we are never righteous, and any good deeds we produce are only filthy rags, but this is clearly referring to the behavior of the saints, the transformed lives, the good deeds of the saints, which we call sanctification. We are bankrupt of righteousness, so any kind of righteousness that we see in the saints has to be Jesus' righteousness, and righteousness is in Jesus and is never separated from Jesus.
So in order for us to have anything at all called righteousness, we must have Jesus, and when we have a close relationship with Jesus and invite him into our hearts and our lives, he brings his righteousness with him.
However, sanctification and obedience are just as much by faith alone as justification; the method is no different, and that is the point that has escaped us for years. Jeremiah 23:6 says that the Lord is our righteousness, so whether it's the righteousness of Christ for me, justification, or the righteousness of Christ in me, sanctification, it is all and only and always Jesus' righteousness, never ours, and both are by faith. You don't accept the Cross by faith and try and work on sanctification, because sanctification is a gift.
The wedding garment represents sanctification, or the righteousness of Christ in me. The invitation to the wedding represents justification, or the righteousness of Christ for me, because we see that a sacrifice has been made in Matthew 22:4. Because of what Jesus did at the cross, he made it possible for everyone regardless of who they are, to come to the wedding of the son.
Now you might think I'm adding to what Jesus did at the cross when i include the wedding garment, or make it as if the wedding garment was a requirement for being at the wedding, but remember, this isn't my idea, it was Jesus idea that the wedding garment be required. The wedding garment, or Christ's righteousness in me, had nothing to do with making me able to come to the wedding.
The invitation, or justification, was all that was necessary to allow us to come to the wedding, but if you didn't have the wedding garment on, you'd be thrown out like the man without a wedding garment, because God doesn't want people coughing and sneezing sin germs all over his universe, and so he has made a condition for those who come to the wedding and that condition is to have on the robe of righteousness as well.
You might think it's legalistic to say that we need to have the robe of Christ's righteousness if we want to be in heaven, but if it was true that we were responsible for working out the righteousness of Christ in our lives, then you'd be correct. But here is a great point in this parable that is as timeless and universal as heaven itself:
The invitation to the wedding is free, but the robe, is just as free as the invitation! We are not adding anything to justification because in sanctification, Jesus does it all! It's Jesus that produces the good acts and deeds of the saints. But remember, justification is what saves us in heaven, and sanctification is what changes our lives.
      ‭Matthew 22:12
and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
It said that he was speechless, which means that before Jesus comes back, everybody is going to understand that the robe is free, and anyone who chooses not to put on the robe will be as speechless as this man. They'll have no excuses. If he had had an excuse he would've used it like, I got the invitation but the garment didn't come, or I didn't know the robe was free, but he had nothing to say.
And only then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. Or few choose to be chosen.

@@ChildofGod-ne1iw If you study the theology of belief, believing in God doesn't mean simply believing he exists and that he died for me on the cross. The closest word for belief is trust, and trust is depending on another, but you're never going to trust someone if you don't get to know them.
The AMP version describes John 5:24 just right: I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life.
A vital and meaningful relationship with God is necessary in order to believe in him, trust in him, and rely on him. This isn't works, or trying to be justified by works. We are saved solely by accepting what Christ has done for us on the cross through faith, but this is not a one-time thing-it's a daily thing.
      Matthew 10:38
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me
How often are we supposed to take up our cross?
      Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
It's a daily matter. When Jesus said let him deny himself, he isn't talking about giving up our sins. He's talking about denying self, dying to self, giving up on self-giving up the idea that I can do anything at all about my sins and overcoming and trying to be obedient, and coming to the end of my own resources.
When a person gives up on himself or comes to the end of his own resources and begins spending time in fellowship and communion and acquaintance with Jesus day by day, this allows Jesus to be in charge of that person's direction, and that relationship means that his direction is going to be up, and God's goal for that person is to lead him to where God will be in control of his life all of the time.
And when God is in control of your life, it is God who obeys, like Paul said: I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
This is what it means to abide in Christ, and Jesus said: ‭John 15:4, 6 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
      ‭Hebrews 3:12, 14
      Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
