@@lyonheart84 hi Brett, these plants love hanging baskets and shade. They grow in warmer months but too much sun will burn them. I have read that the pollen can also be used to pollinate Dragon Fruit. I've tastes one fruit previously on an unnamed variety and it was great, altgough small. It's like a dragon fruit but much more intense
@@TemperateTropicalDownUnder G'day mate, will make more. I have read that the pollen can be used to cross pollinate dragons which could come in handy one day. The Pink Diamond Dragon here has about 12 small buds and its self fertile so if your first Dragon buds are infertile I will have some pollen
@@dougs_urbanfarm hey mate, the only one I have ever tasted was unnamed but really nice. Like a much smaller Dragon Fruit but much more intense and varied flavour. Actually, you could call it Dragon Fruit concentrate lol Can send cuttings when you want, they transport well and I have 9 different colours
My TPs arnt yet open but h🎉ave collected from the red Pollinator to fridge till they open soon. Thats the red flowered one but my other 2 pollinators havnt yet flowered. you will love the TP as best tasting imo.
@melbournesubtropicfruits9474 I've always had that same trend too. They always flowered "just in time" but I noticed that this year my pink diamond which is self fertile has 12 buds right now. The only thing I did differently this year was give it a huge early prune so I could collect the cuttings to give away and a week afterwards gave them a deep watering on that hot day we had. Literally the next day, the buds were there
Eye catching flowers Paul, interesting to use that method of collecting pollen

Beautiful things and great to watch the high-tech pollination. Your place is so tidy, Paul.
@@matthewspatch9529 hi mate, thanks heaps.
I recommend the keyboard vacuum on dragons too. Its so easy and collects all of the pollen too 👌
beautiful viewI always enjoyed your wonderful videos
@@vongtaynhanaiketnoi4074 thank you for your kind comment.
Much appreciated 😀
So beautiful, the way it grows flower is similar to dragon fruit.
Yes and I think the pollen can be used to make the dragon fruit flower fertile too
Wow very cool Paul
They are fancy looking
Can’t wait to hear how they go
@@Coolclimatetropicalfruits so far they have stayed open longer tgan normal. They are still open now which is a good sign 🤞
Pretty flowers and slick use of the keyboard vacuum
@VirginiaFruitGrower thanks mate. I got the keyboard vacuum on Amazon and it's perfect for pollen collection!
@UrbanBounty smart man
Very pretty flowers!
@@PeterEntwistle yes mate and very low maintenance and sunlight requirements
How exciting! Very eager to see future videos on these.

Thanks for sharing. Never seen before. Very interesting. It looks like dragon fruit. What is the last purple one called?
@@hr1893 hi mate, thanks.
The last one is called Tyalgum Purple.
Apparently the pollen can be used to pollinate dragonfruit flowers too

Have you ever tried to use the pollen on Dragons?
@@UrbanBounty Fir some unknown reason my Dragons don't flower until end of summer. Maybe try freezing pollen?

@UrbanBounty you might have something there with pruning also foliar feeding also helps
