Cara, surgery is not the key to pain. I had 5 surgeries on my left leg and it has gotten worst with lots of swelling. So now I am cleansing. I am 70 year young and my goal is to be in perfect health by the time I reach 73. I have to give myself this time because I have to undo what I have done to my body from eating meat, poultry and fish. In my culture (Puerto Rican) in consider nourishing. In my fifties I started having all kinds of health issues that I thought I needed surgery until I started reading about alternative foods. Now I am taking my steps at a gradient level to get to my journey. It is a lot of work but I am not complaining because I got myself into this. Since, this epidemic I have not gone to the doctor for my pressure. I want to be healthy again like in my thirties. I never went to a doctor until I became a government employee where I was exposed to many many unhealthy conditions. I have paid the price for the past 20 years. What bothers me is that because of my age the doctors' don't work with the seniors' unless you take the drugs they give you. I was considered a senior at the age of 55 years young. This is when I was suppose to have a better life. I really thank you for this video because it is a new beginning for me. I don't plan to get old. I am going to get younger. Again, thank you for your wisdom and knowledge that you share with the world. I am going back to reading your 101 book and do some meals from your book. This week has been a blessing to me to change my health around through Facebook. I received your video. This is great!

You've got an outlier here- I live to workout! For mental as well as physical. It's one of the highlights of my day- almost everyday. Hot yoga, running, power-walking, rollerskating. Can't get enough of those natural endorphins.

The blender does not "pre-digest" your food. It breaks it down mechanically, not chemically...you still need to keep it in your mouth to get it mixed with saliva..THAT's crutial for good digestion and absorption.

Yesterday I took cara's advice to just go and do something, I was not thrilled about just taking a walk and so ,I decided to play two sports outside with my family. We played soccer and tennis, soccer was more invigorating, and really got me moving. However I was like man im really out of shape, it would be great to play soccer when im in the best shape of my life. It also help my daughter realize the positive effects on moving her body. So I plan to do this more often play sports and just make movement and exercise fun. Thanks cara for being more in the spotlight these days, its really helped me, I also appreciate all you do to markus. Thanks a bunch😁👍

I’m already working out and eating mostly raw but don’t have the energy levels or muscles I’d like for 59. My goal is to go into my 60s in really great shape to avoid the problems of aging and to just feel good about my life. I will be 67 years of age on the 23rd of July. I go to the gym for Zumba 3x a day. Yesterday, one of my co-workers thought I was 45 :) !!! Love you both. Markus I've been following you pre-Cara. Very glad that she is in your life and mine!

Got my Markus protein and made my first smoothie today. Yeah. Great flavor mixed with half a raw apple a frozen banana a few frozen blueberries and strawberries and a cup of macadamia milk. Weight bearing is absolutely the key. In the 10k steps a day club at 67.

This video convinced me! Thank you so much Cara for your enthusiasm. I was so active but wasn't committed to raw diet and inflammation set in. Weight lifting actually feels amazing once you establish good mind-muscle connection :) I hate cardio (I'm a salsa dancer so that's my cardio!), but I LOVE lifting weights. Since the pandemic started I have replaced my weight lifting regimen with resistance training at home using bands, and I now like that even more than I like the weight lifting! But good mind-muscle connection is essential -- otherwise it's just a struggle, plus injuries can happen.

I love this revelation Cara and Markus. I have been doing a yoga sculpt class with weights and it likewise has been life changing. I am 46 and do a morning smoothie. I have weight to lose. Just started following you guys. I started working out with weights in February 4 times a week. Then I added cardio 2 times a week. Just had blood work done. WOW. It was fantastic. The best I have seen in 10 years. I am 52! So happy. I have also reduced the amount of sugar I take in. When you get motivated, you get motivated. Stay strong!

Love the energy! 40 over here and love working out regularly. I do agree nutrition after is so important and provides the energy your body needs for repairing your body. Smoothies are my favorite after workout drink. I have seen improvements in my energy levels and that is what matters to me most.

3% here...made it through Cara's energy bomb of a video, chuckling all the way!! Lol.... I am the same age as Cara. I have been raw vegan on and off since 2003 but have recently got on the tight and narrow. We are taking/alternating Markus Liver and Kidney formula, plus I am taking Night Rebuild. My husband got us a Concept2 rowing machine at the end of September and I LOVE IT!!! It is a full body work out. I am rowing 7000-10,000 meters every other day, sometimes I give myself 2 day recovery on the heavier days, If it feel it too much still the second night. I already have rowed 188,000plus meters since getting it. Also love my Bellicon Rebounder for lymph movement. Keep it going Markus and Cara, we love you dearly!!

Exciting! I’m shocked actually to see Cara make this breakthrough I didn’t even know she needed!!! And I AM inspired! I turn 60 this year and am doing a lot of very healthy lifestyle choices over many years but yes the workout thing slacks off. I do some stuff but I like the challenge and enthusiasm of seeing Cara go through this. Bring it on. I can push myself. Agree. Fasting has helped me so much this year. Shout out to Kristopher Aaron who led a 42 Day fast. Blessings you guys. So happy for you. Bravo. Yes I’m so passionate to share with people to stop running to surgery and pills. It’s a HUGE transformative cultural thing to take responsibility. So 3hrs a week but us older girls need six days a week. I do some yoga and walk at least a brisk mile with my dog. Some speed intervals. But I’ll get the weights out and good posture. And wait for the workout videos coming up from Cara. Thanks Markus too for the protein powder and tips.

I worked with a very good trainer and manager of Bally’s Health Spa in Ohio at a young age... I became a trainer working with him... I loved it so much.. I have worked out my whole life.. but I ran into a serious health issue where my doctor is making me keep my blood pressure down this is a heredity condition I got from my dad has nothing to do with bad health... and I am challenged at this point... of how to keep the weight off it’s mostly diet right now... I am vegetarian/ vegan ....I am happy that you learned the importance of good form...people can actually hurt their selves working out wrong!..I love your cooking and fitness videos...❤️🏝

I used to be depressed and I was so tired all the time, I wanted to sleep the whole day, because life leaves your body when you give up, so you have to bring life back by physical activity like walking, bicycle or exercise but preferably something more fulfilling like yoga, parkour or dancing and then intellectual stimulation like for example reading books, playing music or doing art and finally, and most importantly, you have to try different things and find passion, then you’ll feel like Cara in this video

Cara, as a new subscriber this video was exactly what I needed to hear. I am in the 3% here as I could have listened to you all day because you exuded so much energy, passion & confidence that you have given me the motivation to start lifting weights again. I was athletic all of my young life having been a former gymnast for 10 years in my youth, but now that I am 60 I have a long way to go to catch up to my former in-shape self. I am almost 100% vegan now but definitely need to step up the exercise. Glad you found the right trainer as that makes all the difference. And I too believe in using heavier weights and that proper form is so important to achieve the right results. My mother always told me to chew my food 25 times before swallowing it! I think that Markus is right about that we just take a few bites to taste and down the hatch it goes. Lots of good nuggets in this video and just what I need to get motivated again. I'm definitely looking forward to your next videos!
Cara oh, I love your excitement and I'm so elated for you. That was very motivating for me because I'm 66 years Young I started eating a raw diet been on it now since January of 2020. I appreciate you all's video so much, because I need to work on chewing my food better and drinking more smoothie after working out. Thanks for that encouraging information and please keep making videos. I'm really determined to work out more five to six days a week for an hour. Because I'm 5 feet 8 inches tall and I weigh about a hundred and 20 lb and I want to build muscles. So oh, now I understand why it was so hard for me to build muscle. Thank you Cara and thank you Markus have a fantastic life. Just wanted to say I appreciate you both for your videos. I'm determined to be strong and healthy. Been a vegan for 18 years but now raw is my thing.

THANK YOU BOTH! I've went from daily excruciating GERD w/ esophageal spasms, chronic fatigue, depression, and muscle pain to feeling 95% better in only a week! Zero heartburn in sight FROM DAY 1 and I've actually had energy! I tossed the proton pump inhibitors, went to the store, & bought coconut water kefir (making it next time), apple cider vinegar w/ mothers, water (non-alkaline), another liquid probiotic with several strains, good veggies, nuts, and a few fruits with good digestive enzymes. And yes, I do try to stay healthy but it’s hard for me in the winter and I don’t live near a gym. I used to work out at home in my 30s every day. Fit as a fiddle! Now I’m having back trouble from a winter of no exercise and not staying on my healthy diet. I did hurt my back from pushing a client back from the edge of the bed back in December 2019. Got physical therapy and it was doing really well but then after my lazy winter at work, I picked up a tote full of summer clothes to bring from the storage to my house and hurt it a bit again. Grrrr! Here we goooo!

Great video. As a physical therapist I see that people usually quit working out a bit from laziness but a lot comes from getting injured and doing it incorrectly. A lot of the exercise classes at the gym are super intense and a bit overboard in my opinion. Some trainers also go overboard And people get injured. I’m so happy for Cara and in New Jersey the gyms are still closed and I’m feeling that in my quads. Best to you both

Cara your enthusiasm is so inspiring...I could listen to you and Markus all day long...trust me, I was excited🤗 to see that this video was a LONG one! I incorporated weights in my 30s and 40s, but fell off the wagon the past 5 years...funny I decided to lift weights again and lost 10 lbs in the month of June...I too feel amazing again!! My joints don't hurt and my flexibility has come back, also my skin has tightened up again...I'm on fire... no one thinks I'm near my age of 52! Thank you lady, you are beautiful inside and out!💞😘✌
