TF2CrunchyFrog Also before Valve modified the Deadringer so that when you are disguised as another class from your own team it drops the appropriate corpse instead of a fake Spy corpse, to keep up the illusion for the enemy team. I kep wondering why the Deadringer didnt drop Sniper corpses then I looked at the date.

I did the Spy - Friendly Sniper trolling earlier today. Not only did another Spy join me in the trolling, but we successfully got a Sniper on the other team to call out our sole Sniper for 'cheating because there's two of him with one of them not moving'.
Everyone had a good laugh at him when our Sniper revealed he was being trolled hardcore by two Spies.

I have to warn you, with the recent changes to the Dead Ringer, it's much easier to actually die if a Sniper headshots you, even while using it. So, good luck and all, but yeah be careful ^^;

6:10 - in my early days playing TF2 when I enjoyed defending on 2fort, I sometimes built a teleporter exit near the position of these two (tried to hide it though) with an entrance located right next to my sentry nest in the intel room. Should I get overpowered by somebody who would breach my intel defenses and destroy my sentry, I would use the teleporter before he could kill me and set up a secondary base upstairs to close him in with a newly built sentry gun before he could make his escape from our base. It wasn't a completely reliable strategy, but when it worked, it was very satisfying.
Also, having a teleporter anywhere upstairs (especially near the stairs leading to the intel room) is a great way to detect Spies incoming to intel, because they can't resist sapping them. And let's face it - teleporters on 2fort don't have much more practical use than that.
That sounds like a pretty good idea, especially if you use it with the Rescue Ranger. That way you can take your sentry with you.
I remember a few months back when i was playing 2fort we setup an engie nest in the enemy base- and we had teleporters going back and to our base.
I use my teles as detection by placing them next to the two entrances of the Intel hallway. Good detection as no one can resist destroying them.
I've managed to get a sentry into the enemy intel room. Good times.

As soon as I read this i went back to that time and listened to it over and over and over again like 50 times and it still is funny, on the other hand if this was a hit sound I would so get it in a heart-beat cause you wouldn't be able to take this game seriously after that even though you cant take it seriously unless your some try hard.. Anyhow this would just make it over 9,000 times better if i set that as my critical hit sound if thats even possible cause i would play sniper alot more often and every time I get a headshot I would die from laughter.

I'm almost positive the real reason is so when the enemy team pushes, the engineer can take the dispenser, and run away without getting killed.

When I play 2fort, there is often a sentry in our own intel. What doesn't make sense is that not even our scouts and spies can even step foot in the enemy intel room, yet an engineer can get into our's and build a sentry.

A fellow Engineer and I set up nests in the enemy intel room. Level 3 Teleporters so our teammates could blitz the intel and infiltrate the base, Level 3 Dispensers to heal up our wounded teammates, Level 3 Sentries to lock their room down so no enemy could cap the intel. A Pyro spychecked and a Medic pocketed us. We dominated the enemy team.

the teleporter entrance where in the 2nd spawn room on the right side is a common placement for engineers defending in case they die so they dont have to walk through the balcony and get sniped.

I did the spy thing on 2Fort for about 25 minutes before anyone on the other team caught on. All talk was on so I could hear the confusion among the other team's snipers about how they weren't getting any dominations.

I suppose it could also be an effective thing to do on Hightower in it's designated sniper perches.

I live in Singapore, and for some reason, there's a sickening amount of ctf_2fort maps, (compared to all the other ctf maps) can't find a good ctf server with decent ping, except for all the 2fort ones :/
Lemme tell you a TF2-top-secret-tip: This happens everywhere, not just in Singapore. 2fort is a plague.
Also, orange and hightower. Doubly so when they're instaspawn.
What's better is when you do this exact same thing - disguising as a friendly sniper on your battlements, and dodging and weaving like you're trying to snipe the enemy snipers. I often get them focused on me so my teammates can snipe them. While they're busy shooting (and often missing) the basically un-killable spy, my teammates are blasting their heads off.
You know, the two years I have played this game, I never knew you could spy as the same team O_O someone teach me, pls!! I need to do this

I always disguise as a Heavy, the spies' hitbox remains the same when he's disguised. So the heads aren't in the same place. Snipers will see a heavy sitting and keep shooting his head but hitting nothing and often get very angry, been called a hacker a bunch of times because of it and it's great.
Skial's 2fort server is a great place to screw around. Just a note: If you capture the intel, you are taking yourself way too seriously.

Jerma,the teleporters were escape route for the engineers camping in the sewers.Its like this,the engineers camp there when shit hits the fan they carry either the dispenser or sentry and step on teleporter and defend at the base.

The teleporters go to the enemy intel room. It's there so if a person picks up the intel, they can teleport all the way to spawn, avoiding enemies.

I'm pretty sure I've played with that same Engineer on 2Fort. You know, the one who builds a sentry in the enemy team's intel. I don't like him. And not because he has a brony name. In fact, I don't mind them, as long as they don't get mad at you if you don't like the show. No, it's because that guy is a jerk on 2Fort. You know, he's a jerk on every map.

IcyU Well, it's not that he's that much of a jerk, it's just that he puts sentries in places that really butcher the enemy team's defense. He's smart, not a jerk. He just dominates me quite a bit. I get angry even though dominations don't really matter.

The teleporter entrance was in the enemy's flag room so you can build a lvl 3 sentry in their flag room then save it by going in the teleporter

We only got boring exits.
The exits are so that if the sentry nest get attacked,the engies can pull back to base it happens alot in pub games.
The sentry in the enemy intel room is such a fulfilling accomplishment. Only problem is, it only lasts a minute or two because I can only ever do it when we are rolling their team..
I like standing in that doorway where Jerma was saying why u don't walk in a straight line in that balcony, and watch people get wrecked from snipers lol
