Thanks Emma for the useful video as usual :) I've realised, these mixed conditionals are the reason why I got confused with conditionals.
(1) If I had won the lottery, what would you like me to buy you?
(2) If she had pick up the phone, she would know she would know she was accepted in her dream job.
(3) If he hadn't quit his job, he wouldn't be as happy as he is now.
(4) If I were more athletic, I would've run the half marathon last month.
(5) If she wasn't so tired, she would've gone hiking this morning.
(6) If I were fluent in English, I would have given a better presentation last Monday
(7) If tomorrow wasn't Monday, I would've drunk beer all afternoon.
(8) If she didn't have an important exam next week, she would've been so stressed.
(9) If I wasn't moving next month, I wouldn't have to book that expensive packing service.
Brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No 8...If she didn't have an important exam....., she would not have been so stressed!
Am I right?
@@user-ij8nm3bv9z Yes you're right, but Emma didn't pick that up 😱
👏👏👏👏
For the (2), I thought it should be: If she had picked up the phone, she would know that she had been accepted in her dream job.
Emma: so how are you feeling about mixed conditionals now?
Me: i have mixed feelings...
😂
You nailed it 🤣
,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
If tomorrow wasn't monday i would sleep all day long
If she hadn't an important exam yesterday she would go to club with us

Thanks a lot!!!
This is more accurate than the online classes that my parents are paying.
And free
Lol so true
*paying FOR*
we use the preposition 'for' because we pay for things / services etc...
E.g. I'm paying for guitar lessons.
@@localbod Thx!
@@localbod wow thx a lot ✨
If I hadn't found your online classes on the internet, I would continue with a lot of difficulties learning English! Thanks, Emma! Excellent classes, clear, and very efficient! I really improved my English with you!

Excellent Lesson! I always learn new strategies on how to explain grammar with your videos. 🙏🏼
Very clear lesson, Emma! As lovely as always! Thank you so much!
Very well explained!👏 My students tend to find the conditionals intimidating because they contain a lot of grammar in one sentence but, once they understand the rules and practise with personal examples, they realise they're not so difficult. 🙂
Ohhh! Thank you! A great teacher!
Great explanation. You spoke at a pace that allowed me to follow and let things sink in. You provided very clear examples and color coded them in a way that made it easier to follow as you spoke. Thanks for your hard work.
Hey, Emma! Excellent lesson here! I've dreamt to know about this type of conditionals much more for a long time and my dream came true at last! Thank you Emma for these wonderful, fascinating and certainly, extremely needful lessons for each student who's learning English! Thanks a million! Bravo! Great work!
1) If I got on that plane I would meet new friends there .

Hello ma'am, today I've reached my first year of reading books and learning English, I've read 29 books for my first time in one year. I do remember my first book I couldn't even count on 10, and now I have mastered the other patterns of the language only by reading books, TV shows and your lessons ( Lucy's too) you, Lucy, TV shows and books taught me English especially books and your lessons . Is it good 29 books a year for someone like me? Just wanna share my success with my lovely teacher 💕I am grateful for you 💕💕

Hello there,
Many thanks for this video. I am an English teacher myself and I really enjoyed your vid and the way you went about explaining the time-relations between clauses within a sentence. It has easily been the best explanation of mixed conditionals I ever saw. I wish back in my days someone had explained the things to me in this manner.
Wish you all the best, already referring you to others! Cheers!
Best teacher ever,,the way of ur teaching is flawless mam,,
If she wasn't so tired ,she would have passed the exam
Hi Emma. I am a native English speaker from the UK. I recommend your videos to non-native speakers because you speak slowly and distinctly - not all English teachers are so careful about that. Your soft Aussie accent adds an extra touch as well!
Emma, you are always the best teacher for all people to study English.
Thank you! You are a gifted teacher
If she had picked up the phone I would be helping her
Everything is simple and to the point, you're doing a great job, a real professional of your craft. Studied them a year ago, refreshed so fast and so easily, thank you, Emma, best regards!
Thanks a lot Emma, a very clear explanation!
It's quite a helpful lesson, Miss Emma.
This topic is one that I've been wishing to hear about for so long. So glad you taught that.
Thank You! 😊
Well explained from beginning to end. Thanks Emma; God bless you.
Thanks a lot teacher. Yesterday I had a difficulty to explain this topic. Now I m ready to teach all of my pupils
If i hadn't learned your great lession, i would still be confused about mix conditional sentences. Big thanks!
Your method of explaining is so awesome.
Awesome! This is the clearest explanation I have ever heard!!!
Wow, thank you!🙏
Thanks for the video lessons! They are like gold for all English learners.
The most difficult part for me is "a future action ➡a past result."
Here are my conditional sentences:
a past action ➡a present result:
1) If I had won the lottery, *I'd buy a lamborgini.*
2) If she had picked up the phone, *my issue would be solved.*
3) If he hadn't quit his job, *he'd be promoted by now.*
a present condition ➡a past result:
4) If I were more athletic, *I'd have won the competition.*
5) If she wasn't so tired, *she'd have done the chores.*
6) If I was fluent in English, *I could have talked to the man.*
a future action ➡a past result:
7) If tommorow wasn't Monday, *I'd have gone out with my friends today.*
8) If she didn't have an important exam next week, *she'd have gone shopping with us yesterday.*
9) If I wasn't moving next month, *I wouldn't have had to call to the owner of my apartment.*
If I had watched this video before, I would be much better at speaking English by now. But now, I gotta practice more of these conditionals. Thanks 😊
Emma, appreciate your lesson and clear explanations you provided ; ) And, yes, you're right, it just needs time and practice to get and utilize it naturally.
1. If I had won the lottery, I would know where to invest the money properly.
2. If she had picked up the phone. I would tell her news.
3. If he hadn't quit his job, we wouldn't have this marvelous life now.
4. If I were more athletic, I would have been less timid as a teen.
5. If she wasn't so tired, she would have been more attentive to her last week guests.
6. If I was fluent in English, I would be more productive in the past.
7. If tomorrow wasn't Monday, I would have gone on a date with you yesterday.
8. If she didn't have an exam next week, we could have been having movie night every weekend along the last month.
9. If I wasn't moving next month, I wouldn't have been packing up all week long.
Thank you very much for this lesson which helps me a lot for the comprehension of conditional sentences.

8. If she didn't have an important exam next week, she would have been on vacation right now.
9. If I wasn't moving next month, I would have bought this beautiful furniture.
Thanks u sooo much for your description,I used to think that it’s a hardest topic in English, but it doesn’t! Now I understand everything and it’s the easiest topic for me ,where my friends found it hard? and I want to proof my worlds with my answers about mixed conditionals

I am a native of Kottayam district, Kerala State, India. Malayalam is my mother tongue and first language. Nobody speaks English in day to day life here. There are many English medium schools here. In a few years more people will start speaking English here. Thanks for your time and labor.
You are highly-skilled, practice is the only gateway to understand that.

2. If she had picked up the phone, she'd be traveling to Hong Kong right now.
3. If he hadn't quit his job, he would earn a higher salary nowadays.
4. If I were more athletic, I would have had a better luck with women.
5. If she wasn't so tired, she would have gone to the party yesterday.
6. I wouldn't have missed so many job opportunities abroad if I were fluent in English.
7. I would have gone to the beach with you If tomorrow wasn't Monday.
8. If she didn't have an important exam next week, she would have visited her parents.
