The skoda Laura had a two stage opening process. When the central lock is engaged, the first pull on the lever disengages the lock on that door. The second pull opens the door.

only normal servicing cost is 12000 yearly but spare parts is so costly becoz all raedy i m used polo last 3 years now i n sold the vechiel and purchased duster why i m sold first of all service center is closed resell value is big zero and spare parts is to high other vechiel becoz i m face one problem change the vechiel ezear parts and its cost is 54000 thousend

Dilip i have polo. As u mentioned child lock video in the back door but how to keep front door lock from inside. I have 15 months baby. Ita not safe with him to sit in in the front. Any gadget sgould i purchase to keep front lock close. Please make a video on that. And one more thing make a video on bicket seat. Amd which foam and and from where in delhi, noida we can get good bucket seat fitting

I figured it out on vauxhall corsa / astra after my kid opened the door on a motorway. Straight away stopped at next services to read full manual and find out the child lock.

For your kind information child lock is for rear door only not for driver or front passenger. Every car has this feature aswell. Because children are supposed to be in the rear not in the front.

This is one of the very few things I hate about my Polo. India is not Europe. We don't use seperate seats for kids. My child sits with my wife and she fiddles with all the controls. You've to be extra cautious with the door lock always.

+priya nanda the new Polo is based on a new platform. So it will take 11 months minimum to release in India.
Yes. VW service is a problem at some states. It has very minimum number of service centres.

Vw spares life is more than double of maruti suzuki..

My 1980 Ambassador car had child lock on rear doors. Of course it did not have central locking. What's unique about modern European cars.

+Anshul Singh My friend has Diesel Polo Highline for the past three years and the maintenance cost per service ranges from 17000 to 20000. Petrol will cost 1000 to 2000 less per service. There wouldn't be much difference in maintenance cost between Petrol and Diesel.

But you will get less features, little bit low mileage and high maintenance cost when compared to the competition. Buy it without second thought if you like it...
Get an AMC. I got it for my Polo, now the service costs just 12k (including car interior clean and other things). I think 12k is not high considering there's only one service per year.
