Be careful with those no tip orders those are the ones you'll end up getting a contract violation on.
I always tip $10 and its usually around a 4 mile drive. If DoorDash does $2.50 base pay thats $12.50 for 4 miles. Hopefully people think i tip good.
Those people usually are the first to complain about the long waited orders. I did this for a week and said nope it’s not worth it
Those 2 dollar and 25 cents doesn't even get you a gallon of gas in your car😱😱
Yup
Or don't tip your doordash driver. If you do it'll get delivered. If you don't it'll sit at the store.
DD drivers are under zero obligation to take your order.
Thanks for the video, and yeah dashing at night is a bummer, it makes you feel so low energy, Keep up the good work and carry on !!
I like these DoorDash videos you’re doing now. I have been thinking about it for awhile now.
Definitely worth trying out!
Hey bud I just wanted to say I enjoy your dasher content vlog. Have a good week bud.
Thanks! Same to you.
Man I totally relate to quickly accepting orders not realizing it’s a low one i’m always so nervous when i’m in traffic and get an order and I hit accept not realizing how low it really was! Also Panda Express is so slow I agree I almost never accept those! Do you ever do the peak pay bonuses? Love seeing your Doordash vlogs keep it up!
The hours I dash tend not to be during the peak pays 😔
clintus was my childhood
Now I will be part of your adulthood 🫡
Doordash takes very little effort compared to actually working at a fast food restaurant so no before u ask for tips work at fast food restaurant in a place where customers order 10 million things i get paid 15 dollars for doing insane work its wild
Have you done doordash for 8 hours? Do you know what's all involved? You make $15/hr no matter what you do. With doordash you pay varies and is dependent on how fast and efficient you are. The effort is in your driving skills, knowing which orders to pick up and which ones to decline. Knowing when to wait for an order when to let it go and move on. It's a different job with different pay.
I love watching your videos everyday thank you for sharing your videos with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Good thing I made it to my aunts car just in time to watch your vlog. My heart appointment is good. It’s a long one. Also I shop at country club plaza. Right now I’m heading home. But great vlog man.
bro put her whole life story in a comment
rating 4.95
acceptance 100%
deliveries 2459
over all 40% dont tip 30% tip well and the rest round up on avg.
Amazing vlog Clintus:)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Aldi, that’s like shopping in the UK we put £1 in the trolley (shopping cart) bag our own stuff and pay for bags lol
Just curious, don’t answer if you don’t want to but how much do you make per deliver when doing (door dash)
Every delivery is different based on the size of the order and how far I have to drive. But I average about $23-25 an hour.
Like nothing
@@Clintus 👍😀
Good work
Tipping is important, but you’re paying a 50% premium for the food already. Seems to me that DoorDash is robbing you all of a correct revenue %.
yeah some definitely mark up their prices to cover the cost of what DoorDash is charing them just to be in the app. I think base pay should definitely be higher.
Clintus stumbled upon the secert mansions
For real!
You rock man
No you
The shock with aldi cracked me up. Every store in the uk you need a pound to unlock the trolley. Always need to bring bags with you or you have to rebuy. Or refuse like me and juggle 20 items to the car.
haha yeah new experience for me.
Not to mention the Olympic sport that is trying to keep up with the checkout worker whether you pack whilst you go or just throw it all back into your trolley 😅
You were supposed to get your cart quarter back from Aldi! When you click your cart back into the others, it pops your quarter out.
yeah I should have, but I didn't actually pay for it. A lady gave me her cart as I was walking in.
Awesome vlog!
Awesome vlog, looks like you were in my neck of the woods lol...lots of homes around here have gates.. wish you could have made more money but I guess some nights are like that. The store you went in to shop and bag your own stuff, that is crazy..some places go to far with it I think but it is what it is. Great vlog, Vlog On 🤘🏾
Awesome video I really like it lot it was cool and you made awesome videos and you are my favorite UA-cam and you are best UA-cam channel
Did you know in China it's an insult to leave a tip...so different than here!... I hope you keep vlogging after October... these vlogs are fantastic Clintus!
I stopped Doordashing. Not worth it anymore. Low delivery pay and low to no tip. Cost to much with vehicle expenses. Use to do about 30/hr. Now 15/hr. Im in California
Everything great if you have a brand new car, but lets say you wear out a CVT transmission on an older one..........
bummer dude
No, prices are higher that ordering directly from the restaurant. Cancel tipping culture so they can fix their salaries
you're right, most of the time they are. Unfortunately I don't see that change happening.
are you on twitch?
Sure am. Be live later today. twitch.tv/Clintus
In Tulsa Oklahoma it was slow day for DoorDash man nothing was busy
bummer dude
@@Clintus I know Sunday was killer made 45 bucks
can a 19 year old be working for door dash? i’m currently looking for other jobs at moment and thinking of doing it 🚗
yup, Sierra has done it a couple of times.
I use to do instacart and I got a Aldi order one time and accepted the order I was like what the heck you got to put a quarter in the cart to get a cart and i had trouble finding the stuff because i didn’t know the layout when I get to check i didn’t know you had to buy bags and after that order I never took a order there again
I thought that aldi was only in australia
I thought Aldi was only in the UK 😮
lol 😂😂😂😂@@jackbudsworth4741
Great Job
I tio when i know the driver but not if i dont. Door dash add too much money to your total when you add more things as if its harder to handle for the dasher but it actually won't be but they still increase the total by a lot and then we have to tip a guy that will forget something on your order. What a joke 🤡😭
restaurants raise their prices in the app to cover the cost of what DoorDash charges them to be in the app. Then you pay the service fees and delivery fees to DoorDash because that's how they make their money. Dashers get paid a minimal rate based on size of order and distance but the expectation is that customers will tip making up the difference. All I was saying is if there is no tip than the order is less likely to be picked up and/or cared about. If it sits too long DoorDash will start to slowly increase the pay to incentivize dashers to pick it up.
i tip when i have money wich is never
Wait I thought you are your own boss on DoorDash can’t you start anytime I been seeing ads like that
Depends on your area. Where I live there are lots of drivers so you have to schedule your time.
abolish tipping
give workers a liveable wage
increase earnings on par with inflation for the comman man and not just the ceos
wish it was that simple
When you going to Disneyland
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you use Door Dash to pick up drugs . LOL J/K
No but they do have delivery services for that
I’m confused! We pay Door Dash a monthly fee regardless whether we place an order or not! This monthly fee is for tips for the delivery person! They come drop the delivery off snap a photo and leave, they don't ring or knock! Simple! Sometimes, I will get to the door before they leave so the dogs will shut up (darn Yorkies) but they are halfway down the walkway by then, like I need to keep it moving Ma’am! Because we don't keep Cash in our wallets, it's very seldom to never I have cash on me! That's why we pay the monthly fee whether we order or not!
That fee is not for the drivers it is for Door Dash it’s self we do not get any of that money at all
@@Babsonthego4 so is there a difference between a “tip” and a “delivery fee?”
Tip is for the driver. Preferably a dollar per mile. The delivery fee goes to door dash. NO TIP NO TRIP. So that’s why your food doesn’t get picked up. Or be extremely cold. And the one who don’t tip or barely give a tip, Bih the most. Tip should ALWAYS BE AT LEAST $5.00 or prepared to have door dash say they are looking for drivers. Door dash is over saturated with drivers it’s just you didn’t tip and they declined the order unless it’s a new dasher who hasn’t fiqure it out.
Since my daughter and not myself is the account holder I thought I had better make sure I knew what I was talking about before I went further! She subscribes to DashPass! And yes the drivers are fully reimbursed for their delivery fees if you have a DashPass account! I don’t know if DashPass is available in all states but it is in ours, which makes it very convenient especially if you don’t carry cash, and don’t want to worry about the hassle of having to calculate tips for every order we place! If you work for DoorDash and they use DashPass subscription service but you are not being paid tips on the orders you deliver, you have a much bigger problem than you think!
Are you referring to DashPass? That lowers the fees you pay, free delivery on all your orders. Doesn’t have anything to do with the drivers. We don’t even know if you have that or not. When you are finalizing your order there is a place for the tip and it gives you a few recommendations, but you still have to opt in or out to tip.
My parents don't do Doordash they can mess up you know I live in Greenpoint brooklyn ny I'm in nyc. So it best I don't use Doordash. I give Doordash a 5/10. But anyways good video ❤ keep up the great content 👏
*confusion sets in
@@Clintus yep
Are these daily vlogs still financially viable or is it more of a passion that you like to continue
haha no, I'm not doing this for the money. Doing Vlogtober and then we'll see how I'm feeling at the end whether or not I'll keep doing it.
You have to be smart about how you approach it. I know dashers pulling 40k a year or more, just dashing. I know dashers losing their ass for it. It's all a matter of approach.
That said.
Gas prices are killing profit.
Car maintenance kills profit.
No tip kills profit.
Slow/behind/lazy/understaffed merchants kill profits.
DD only paying $2.50 pet order regardless of time or distance kills profit and subsudizes DD profit to the customer who already pay ridiculous fees, most of which dashers never see a dime of. This kills profit above all else.
Oh wow 🤩
Stop complaining about not tipping.. why should you get a tip for doing the job you get payed for . If the pay is not enough get another job ...
LOL but that's literally built into the job. Just like servers at restaurants and bartenders. The hourly pay or in this case the order pay is low because it's expected that the customer will tip. All I'm saying is, low or no tippers have their orders skipped meaning cold food. Just letting everyone know how it works.
I actually used DoorDash last night cause wife was at a friends house and I didn’t want to cook. The restaurant I chose was 3 miles from house and order was like 25 dollars. Not really sure as to how much I should tip I tipped 10 dollars. Hopefully was enough. Blog on
As a Doordash driver... $10 is a huge tip, especially on a $25 order. We greatly, greatly appreciate those tips as, unfortunately, those delivery platforms pay is absolute garbage.
I don't understand why you have to tell us to tip the drivers. Tips should be optional not forced. If you have to rely on tips possibly the job isn't for you. I tip drivers who dont expect one and simply do the job they signed up to do. I had 2 dashers show up recently one complained about a tip while the other shown up and handed me the bag and said have a good day while the other driver complained i tipped the guy $100 told the complainer if he wants a tip ill give him one. I told him the tip is this. "You signed up to deliver food not complain to me because you signed up for a job you cant live off of. Do I look like your therapist?" Moral of the story dont expect/ask for tips simply do your job and be kind. If you cant make a living off doordash without crying for tips then you shouldnt be working there.
Normally I would agree with you. Why tip before you've received the service? But with DoorDash and other delivery services it's the other way around, you tip at the time of order. Bigger the tip, faster and better service. When we get an order, all we see is what we're going to make and how many miles we have to drive to complete the order. If the miles to money ratio isn't there it gets skipped and we get a new order. So by tipping well on the front end it ensures your order gets picked up in a timely manner and usually by a more seasoned dasher since the higher paying orders get prioritized to the dashers with the best ratings. Again I agree with you, but it's how Door Dash is setup.
They don’t deserve a tip 💯
LOL What? Why?
They deserve tips because they drive for hours to deliver your food so the tips are much appreciated.
I hope the next time you don’t tip, your food gets thrown at your face.
@@shivamgandhi5779 haha well we don’t need to go that far! It’s just the way the system works, like a food server. Doordashers get paid a minimal pay from doordash because the expectation is that you will earn tips. Servers get paid less than minimum wage from the restaurant because it’s expected that they will earn tips. It’s just how the industry works. But seasoned dashers know who the non-tippers are and will skip the order thus taking long for the person to get their food and resulting in cold or sub-par food. Tip = service. It’s just reversed for doordash.
You’re rude
