I might have a newer model but mine is different. The black part doesn't unscrew but can be peeled back. Under that is a tiny allen screw securing the cable. I didn't have a allen wrench that small but the smallest jewelers screwdriver I had was able to loosen it. Once loosened you can unscrew the plug and proceed as in your video. Thanks though without the video I would have never tackled repairing this.

How could I make it work with a transmitter Sennheiser EW100? Is there any way to weld the P2 connection so that it is compatible? Thanks!!!
Thanks for the info. Our church countryman started crackling during our Easter Drama, we have 2 more to go and no one Local has replacement cords in stock. Online ordering was not going to be fast enough. Checked out your video, it was an easy fix. Drama goes on tomorrow night.
Is that the PM1D? I worked with one of those over 25 years ago. Wow. I suddenly feel a bit old. That board was like a work of art. Was very saddened to see that the church that owned it had GIVEN it to another board manufacturer so they could get a deep discount on another board, and then that company had the board destroyed. I nearly cried... So sad.
That is the M7CL which replaced the PM1D to my knowledge. Navigation is almost exactly the same between the two, the M7 has a touch screen though. Thanks for the comment
