Hello, thanks for a good video. Im considering to buy the E6 and plan to connect it to the DJI mic single transmitter with a minijack input, and then record the sound straight into that, with no output of the sound. So, I wonder if this is possible with the Countryman, or does it require phantom power? Thanks
Sounds like the Countryman has a nice cut around 250hz. That's where the "annoying" part of most male voices is. Cut 250hz 8-10db on your Sennheiser and you'll have nearly identical mics.
Some of that is from the CM, some from my equalization for basic ring-out. I actually do have a similar EQ setting to closely match the CM, but I wanted to show what I felt were the best performances form each piece.
I just got my Countryman and have been sorely disappointed with the audio quality. There is a constant "snow/white noise" in the background and my voice sounds comparatively underwater or like I'm sick compared to my cardioid.
L O F E N O I A L O F absolutely. The Countryman b3, b6, and the Sennheiser MKE2 Gold are great options. I now have the MKE2 Gold in my arsenal for micing the couple and it’s an exceptional mic.
This would have been more helpful if we were hearing direct audio, rather than the sound of the mics through another mic in a small room. So really most of what I hear are the acoustics of the room.
I did a recording both as a from-the-source (first part of the video 3:07) and then from-the-speaker (second part of the video 4:38) since for most DJs not only is it sound capture but then replication through another audio source.
Very nice review! Detailed but still to the point. I appreciate this so much!
I'm glad you enjoyed! 😀
This was a very nice, detailed review.

It does not require phantom power so it should work
@@djlouparis Thanks for quick reply 🙏

As a voice over person, just from an audio perspective only, how do the different mics like a handheld mic, compare to a headset?

@@AishawithanEye sounds like it has alot of self noise.
I am helping a speaker who prefers not to wear a headset . Is there a good lavalier that you would recommend instead? Thanks!
