I was watching a video on how to tie a half hitch and a running bowline for arborists when I noticed your video. You're videos are getting pretty good, your wry sense of humor is growing on me. Now to a video on a Cow Hitch knot.
Full frame is great if you are only able to carry around just one lens...but most people are using it for these narrow shots. In that case, I don't see a huge advantage. A 50mm is a phenomenal looking telephoto setup when it gets cropped in on an apsc. You can always magically turn your apsc into a 'full frame' by just using a 30mm art lens.

i have a lumix g85 and an a7siii. my favorite thing to do solo is shoot cloud footage. i park my camera, put all settings in manual, find a good cloud piece that fits into my square, and hit record and let it go and go. i've gotten some good cloud footage with my g85 but the a7siii makes them look a bit yellow if the exposure isn't totally perfect. what is the absolute best camera to capture those clouds in all their glory? not photo, video... i like to see those clouds shape and shift man
Shoot with the A7siii in log, and then you can correct for any color shifts in post. Clouds push dynamic range to their limits, so you don't want to rely on the in-camera results. The A7siii has incredible dynamic range if you avoid standard mode.
I've been trying to figure out what the second word on the book is, in the shoulder bag of your animated character in your intro. My best guess is " photo guide" ??? You gotta set this to bed for me.... it's driving me nuts.
I think if you wanna get into shooting and you have a tight budget, the best choice is Sony A6100 with the stabilized 50. Gives you sharpness, the ability to dip into low light, the body has excellent eye tracking, 50mm on APS-C is portrait length equivalence-mostly, APS-C toneh is still well within acceptable, and you can shoot 4k uncropped video. Slap a cheapo battery grip on it for that more “professional” look and people will be all over you

Hey Kasey. I need you to help me. I am a proud Panasonic owner of an S1H and GH5. I also have an XT4 and Sony A7S3, but I use those solely for photos. Nothing else. I have a lot of glass for L Mount and M43. Should I buy the GH6 when it comes out or do I pick up a S5? I will use one of these as a companion (B/C Cam) to the S1H on shoots. I shoot short films, music videos, documentaries and the occasional street race. As a fellow Panasonic lover (I know you still are), which one would you get? P.S. Travel stuff: any Oly camera with the 12-40mm f2.8 lens (expensive) is a great solution. That lens is fantastic and it covers most travel needs. Maybe along with the little Laowa 7.5mm for fun wide angle pictures. Personally I have a PEN-F which is not great for video but super nice for photos, and really well-built.
It's not even that expensive by modern mirrorless standards. You can often find the 12-40mm for like $699 in a bundle with a new camera during almost any major holiday, and you can find them used all day for $500-600. For a great first party constant aperture lens, it's worth it. It's a fantastic lens. The Panasonic 12-35mm is good, too, though I think the 12-40mm is slightly nicer in my opinion.

You have already helped me decide to get the Canon EOS R (in the mail now). Now, I need your help once more good sir. I need a single lens that can do everything.. Not really, but kinda. I'm thinking of getting the RF 24-240 as my first lens, but I'm worried about the weight (carrying it around Disney and Zoos) and low-light performance. I would also use for portraits, indoor events for kids, and astrophotography (until I can get better lenses for specific use cases). Do you think the weight and lack of low-light performance would be worth it to have an all-in-one super zoom or might there be a better option (like a couple primes: RF 35 1.8 for most uses I listed, then the RF 85 1.4 for indoor events and portraits)? Looking to spend less than $1000 initially. Thank you.
there is no significant risk of cancer or other ailments from common on-ionizing radio frequency radiation in the quantities that are received from the indented use of consumer radio communications equipment. - the rode videomic pro 2 is probably a good choice, but i'm not a big fan of the look of that giant thing clipped to a shirt - they do have a lav mic jack on them however, so if you want to clip it elsewhere (like on the back bottom of your shirt, or a pocket, or to the top of your pants or something) and don't mind investing in an external lav mic to plug in, it's a pretty decent setup.
Before switching the setup, there was skincolors and a red shirt. After switching, the shirt and the face look almost the same. Sonycolors are trash. It´s like you wearing this kind of full body suit also covering your face. Anyways, love your videos. Keep ´em coming!
Hi from Iraq, first I wanna thank you for your videos, I enjoy your humor very much. there is no significant risk of cancer or other ailments from common on-ionizing radio frequency radiation in the quantities that are received from the indented use of consumer radio communications equipment.
