This was brilliant to watch, just 1 crash! 😮 I wanted to let you know that I gave in last night, followed your advice and bought the special edition so I could play straight away.... Its brilliant! Quite different to TT2 and much harder but definitely progress. I quickly found the steering sensitivity settings, they were at minus 5 😅 I gradually found that anything between +5-8 was perfect for me, but man did I crash a lot! I played in the 1st person view that is very similar to helmet cam without the "frame". Felt great, helmet cam is good too. I noticed, as a real life biker, that the bikes react similar in that you can't hammer the brakes or knock it down a few gears if tipped over. The realistic physics are brutal but probably fair. I learnt a lot from watching you, you're very smooth. For example, I could NOT get round the gooseneck without falling off whatever I did! I raced the AI at 40% round the Snaefell and my best was 7th place after a dozen laps 😢😅 Iv got a sub 16 minute lap on TT2 and couldn't break 21 minutes last night 😂 Thanks for all the advice and your videos, it's gonna be great fun trying to get better at this game and also hoping they patch the "gash" parts ASAP like texture pop in,etc... 🥳👍👍👍
Cheers mate! I’m getting the hang of this now and every lap I put together feels faster and better every time 🔥 glad you got it and you’re enjoying it 🙏🏻
@@DrAce46 I can see you getting better every video but you're ACE at all the motorbike games whereas for me, TT2 was the only one I've ever put a lot of time into. I'm very happy I got it after all my worries, see you on the leaderboards! 😨🥳
Something I LOVED about the PS2 games was the gimmicks they added in.. you could do a race with a Pan European Police bike 🤣 or ride the TT Course on mad Sunday with traffic 😅
there's one track where it goes from a long straight fast section into a tight downhill right turn with a giant tree right in the middle that i always smack into lol. good times
@@DrAce46 you really gotta try the Razor Wolverine chroma V.2 controller. i bought it specifically for motorcycle games and it's amazing! a bit expensive but it's worth every penny!
@@OffGridMadMan its got thumbstick sensitivity settings which makes it ideal for FPS abs Bike games. the controller itself feels just perfect too, not too big, not too small, just right. triggers are awesome, they are solid and feel good under the fingers and are super accurate using them for throttle and brake. its pain sweet, best thing Razor has ever made imo, and I've been using Razor M&K and headphones for years! its worth it bro, get one!!!
Loving your videos DrAce! They were so helpful in Ride4 and I'm really enjoying your postings on this game so far. Hope you put out many more. Are you playing on (and do you recommend) REALISTIC? Would you mind sharing your SENSITIVITY settings? I'm also wondering...as we upgrade our bike, does it really benefit us...or do the AI opponents just get tougher to match our "improved" upgrades (like in Ride4)? I always hated that - as it seemed like it really didn't accomplish anything to upgrade. It is tough, but I'm loving this so far. I like the feel MUCH better than the first two TT games. To me, the speed and 3rd person views are just perfect. I think they nailed it. The TASKS in each race are really tough to achieve - especially the "rider bumping" and "running off the track" limits. I do love the free roam and the career progression system. Very pleased with this game. Money well spent.
Thanks mate! I’m pleased you like my videos ❤️ Got lots of videos planned, guides and tips and tricks etc! I am playing on realistic but I’ll do you a video of all my settings etc. I haven’t even upgraded any bikes yet 😂 so I’ll need to work that out
About the map. You really need to be able to modify the Hud, I'd really like to be be able to enlarge the map, adjust its opacity and move it to where it's just out of my eyeline. Racing line, why is it just on or off? No corners only? or no line but just traffic cones to mark the start of braking zones.
Scary? yes...yes it is. If you don't have a "Pwooooar, fuck!" moment once a lap, you're not trying hard. This course reminds me a bit of the Northwest for some reason, overall I'm happy with the new areas, quite challenging. Now, go get on Ride4 and run some Northwest 200 laps, that's where the real lads are this weekend. Cheers!
Do you use auto gear shifting? also the brakes its just L2 for both or its more realistic to use different brakes for front/back ? ps. is there any night race?
I use semi automatic at the moment. But you can adjust them yourself through the race. There is an option for joint brakes but I would never recommend using that option
Regarding 1:49 - I ran into sound issues yesterday, weird sound and only in helmet cam, just happened once yesterday during a ride (I've meanwhile finished the seasons in both classes and a couple of hours in), recording at ua-cam.com/video/PGIQxD7rlLA/v-deo.html . I also found that sometimes the sound isn't in sync with the manual shifting, having some delays when up or downshifting. Still find the exhaust flame sound weird (the same 'hitting the sand bag' sound they had in RiMS Racing).
That weird sound like in the video only happened once yesterday in one of the events, don't recall which track exactly (don't think it's related to the track); was never an issue in the many hours I already played the game. However, the sound not being in sync when shifting happens at some point quite frequently, not sure exactly when; first thought it happens after a crash and when you remount the bike, but it didn't seem to be the case, haven't found the pattern yet.
@@DrAce46 have you considered an 8bitdo controller? I recently got one and must have used every controller there is right from atari days (yes I'm old) and easily the best controller I have used.

I won't be purchasing this game I didn't like the previous 2 games. Roll on Ride 5 😊 I'm definitely getting that. Tough luck pal crashing into that tree 😊

The hardest part of Laxey Course is the part that goes through Laxey. The tarmac in that town is so uneven it’s insane
Yes! You have to brace yourself for the town! 😂
