As I learned from one of your videos..... "Let them" be that way.....these are your wise words....Let them be negative. You are very admirable....I love listening to you. We only have control of our own realities, right?
Doing a reality check today, thanks again for your wise words Dee. By the way, thoroughly enjoyed your challenge. I love letting out the inner child and relished kicking dry leaves all the way up a beautiful lane in York on my way to meet a friend. The sun was shining and so was my face by the time I met my friend. Thanks for being out ray of sunshine Dee! 👏😊
@@juliapattison3815 Thank you so much for letting us know! I am so glad that you enjoyed it and that the sun was shining for you. Kicking up soggy leaves doesn't have the same impact for me! D
Hi Dee, another great topic thank you. Yes we all know someone whom they think are the ants pants. Good for them right! I’m happy living a quiet simple lifestyle now after always working. Takes a while to get used to it but I’m very grateful for where I’m at in life. Have a lovely day xx 💗💗
Thank you for sharing your wisdom! As a 20 year old, I often have no idea of where to go in life and what to prioritize, but your video’s always help me. Thank you.
Good morning from the bench and another unseasonably mild morning. I am going with the flow and gradually waking later since the clocks changed then it's tea in the porch with you and Seneca and the pooch on my lap ❤ my reality is that i know how lucky i am or as someone famous once said "the harder i work the luckier I get" 😊 big love from Scotland as always ❤️
Morning, Dee. I agree with you. But you’re much wiser than I am. Had I set more boundaries and said ‘no’ every so often, I’d have saved up some money (maybe even some extra energy), for my later years in life. Hindsight is 20/20. At the time…during all those moments when I was the only parent/grandparent/mother in law there to help, I helped whenever I could help. I don’t regret fostering and/or adopting all the shelter fur babies tho. I helped them …. and they helped me by snuggling with me, by jumping up in my lap, by running to greet me when I got home from work, by sleeping next to me during cold winter nights, by following me from room to room, by getting me outside walking 2/3 times a day (the dogs especially) and by making me feel as if they all knew how it felt to be truly loved. Helping human family members pay bills, babysitting after work almost every day, buying furniture they needed, buying extra groceries for them, helping my human family members when they were too ill to get out of bed (when I also didn’t feel so well), etc…. I tried to make their lives easier…and now I’m old, weak, tired and pretty much financially drained. If I had a ‘do over’, I’d like to think I’d be wiser, and would be aware of how to say ‘no, sorry I can’t’ and …. I’d not feel one iota of guilt. That’d be cool. Or maybe not. 🤷🏼♀️ Where were you 50 yrs ago, Dee…when I needed you? 😔. Great topic. Hugs to you and Myschka. 🍂🍁🌻🌻🌻🫶🫶
My pleasure. We can only do what we feel is right at that moment in time - when it comes to helping and supporting family. Right for family/friends - and what we felt was the right thing to do. OK, with age we change these ideas in light of later happenings, but we cannot undo what we did - willingly. Life's a funny old thing at times isn't it? D
Good morning lovely 😊You inspire me Dee. A deep heartfelt thankyou for your videos. ❤ Young people should be listening to you. So that they know the way of life and how it was before “ tech” took hold. Bless your lovely heart . Sipping my tea with Dee ☕️☕️wonderful! Xxx
In Australia the age of retirement has become 67 years old 😳 The Superannuation funds will not allow any financial assistance until retirement date . Women are still having to work after retirement when they find themselves unable to live comfortably on their Superannuation payment. Sadly this is the time when they should be able to stop having to work. After 67 Luckily, still alive and able to work before physical or mental health decline.
Maybe the rest of us who don't like everyone need fixing? So long as you don't allow yourself to be taken in by people who take advantage of you - maybe you could take a bit of time getting to really know people before deciding that you like them? Take care D
