Pat’s only not funny due to Tom. When Tom’s gone and they let Pat play, he’s fine. Tom rushes him and makes him write objectively unfunny crap about topics that are not funny, as shown here by Pardo. Who do you think told Pat to sing that song? Scat Griswold.
