Great video and some solid gold!! What are the panning/mining restrictions in Scotland? Can you just go wherever or do you need a miners right or is it stricter like here in NZ where you are only aloud on a few set areas.
Thanks for watching man😀 We are supposed to get the landowners permission. Some areas in Scotland we are not aloud to do it at all because of salmon and endangered plant species. Some farmers don’t like people doing it on their land! Just need to make sure we don’t get caught😂 I don’t cause any damage so I don’t see the problem⛏🏴
@@ScottishGoldHunter Lol yeah, at least that is still a heck of a lot better then here in NZ, outside of 17 public fossicking areas throughout the country some of which are pretty poor and the richer ones get hammered, we are not "aloud" to prospect at all even on your own land without a claim which will normally cost you about $10000+ (about 5000pounds+) and is a very long difficult process , like we have a family batch at this old gold rush town it had almost 100,000 people in the area during the gold rush and even though there is gold everywhere on private farmland or just regrowth bush you have to drive hours to get to the nearest gold fossicking site to be "aloud" to prospect which is just stupid (although just like you said if you dont get caught and do no damage its fine and 99.9% of people are not out to get you and dont mind at all). But yeah I probably rambled on a bit lol, Good luck on getting more colour!

The little sluice brought a good result. I also use the Henderson pump. Little material absorption but good for difficult crevices in bedrock. Nice video
