35 years later, this makes just as freakin' happy as it did then 🎸🎸🎶🎶❤❤ Love many guitarists to pieces since then, but Kee Marcello will always be my guitar Hero 🥰🥰

Es Tremendo Artista, no me explico por qué lo dejaron salir del grupo, aunque ya tiene el suyo propio, muchos lo hechamos de menos cuando vino el grupo a Perú, pero sin él.
Both are very tied technically. While Norum its better at improvising, Kee is most of the time cleaner (even tho John also is clean most of the time, but made more mistakes than Kee tbf). They apply the same techniques (Sweep picking, Alternate picking, Tapping, etc). I love and admire Kee but cant understand why Kee fans bash on Norum when Norum fans almost doesnt on Kee. And if you're going on the technique task, then watch lots of footage of them so you'll have a solid argument 😂
Oooh as I admire this great guitarist. Kee Marcello has brought so many beautiful things to the group of Europe. Europe was lucky to have Kee Marcello. So much emotion and great pleasure to listen to this talented musician. I love her very much her way of playing and so beautiful physically.
I sow this video in nineteens, friend brought VHS tape with Europe concert on party. Kick ass playing from Kee. Btw, interesting is that video editor has made mistake at 4:15 where Kee is playing tapping but on video we can see part from previous played scale. Btw again , I would kill for the good tab of those arpeggios (chromatic part is easy to tab).
To see, to enlighten. that yellow guitar is a Larrivee. Larrivee RS-2. RS-4 has 1 humbucker and 2 single coil. RS-2 has 2 humbucker. In fact, I speak from experience, because I have a Larrivee RS-2, identical to that of the video

@@madden7732 I'm sure you're aware than John doesn't or couldn't play Kee's solos, obvious examples would be Superstitious and Ready or Not, John attempts though but fails eventually. That's what I meant John can take lessons from Kee lol. Don't get me wrong Norum is a legend in his own right no doubt about it, however I don't understand why he can't play them right when there's tons of unknown people on UA-cam nailing them like perfectly.
@@jeremycubs8331 it's not that he can't play them. He puts his own taste and phrasing. He has a recent vídeo of him playing the 'Let Me Love You' solo and you know that song has some ferocious alternate picking licks. If he can play those licks currently, he surely can do Superstitious and Ready Or Not (which arent very hard solos tbh, but incredibly tasty). Both are amazing, shouldn't be compared imo, both brought something unique to different eras of the band. Deserve to be more recognized.
@@jeremycubs8331 It's quite understandable since they (guitarists, including me) feel they want to make their own rendition and add maybe some new licks or different dynamic to the solo. We all feel that at some point. The Superstitious solo we hear now live played by John is just his take on Kee's creation.
No Blind Fanboy here, I'm a Europe blind Fanboy if you keen, but as I guitarist I can not be more objective than that! And ofc they have different styles and both of them are great guitar players, I'm just saying that I prefer Kee because he has a more original style, better technique and Unlike John, he is able to play his collegue solos even better than Norum himself. Still, everybody knows John and adresses him as a guitar hero, whilst Kee, who in my point of view, is more talented and eclettic is kinda unknown. Btw, Have a look at how John plays" Superstitious" solo and how Kee plays "The Final countdown's" one...
Mario Grassi In my opinion Norum has much more feel than Marcelo & his newer solos has much more blues in them, while Kee has much better technique. I can agree that Norum's solos in the 80's era were sometimes overdone & he used very similar licks over & over, but nowadays he's better than ever. Yes, Kee Marcelo is underrated, but John Norum isn't overrated, he earned the status he got now.
Bart Smith You got a fair point about the feel. i agree Norum is more Blues-oriented whilst Kee is more Tecnique and merely 80ish Hair Metal. Let's say that they are complementary and thus, both good! :)
