I had a cat who would always climb up in my face ONLY DURING RAINBOW ROAD and he died young from FIP. I've always called the 3DS version his song and getting a remix this year is amazing.
The worst possible power-up to get in this track is a star because it arbitrarily cuts out this masterpiece, especially from 1:10-1:42. And you have to love how at 1:10 they still incorporate the Mario Kart 64 Rainbow Road/Double Dash theme here with how it also captures that sense of "finale". Now, as for all the other rainbow roads; SNES- most blocky, 64: most nostalgic, Super Circuit: most energetic, Double Dash: most exciting, DS: most fun gimmick, Wii: most magical, 8: most futuristic. But 7: ... the most emotional (I just cannot stress enough how I can't drive on this track without getting tears in my eyes, and I love it).
We did it fellas we reached the end of year 1 of BCP and we're almost at the end of 2022, be thankful for everything you have and have a nice day playing these amazing selections of tracks!!!

Edited Opinion (original below) I like this a little more than the original too. I didn't initially, but it has grown on me drastically. It's more funky and upbeat than the original, but it still maintains its sentimentality, and I think it fits the 8 Deluxe track so well. It’s different for sure. I think the original suits the track more, but I like this one a lot too. It’s more electronic than the original version, but it still holds some of the sentimental value, still think the MK7 melts my heart much more though.
for a game like mk8 it definitely fits right in with the rest of the soundtrack, but i grew up with mk7’s version so i like it more solely because if nostalgia and it’s just good lmao.
A great theme to cap off the year, hopefully you had some sort of growth in you, maybe you became stronger emotionally, maybe you graduated, got promoted, patched things up with someone, finally got to do that thing you'd been holding off for a while. I personally got to beat some of my inner turmoil plaguing me for years, so hopefully you get to overcome whatever's plaguing you too.

honestly for nintendo i can’t think of any good games that came out this year, maybe splatoon 3 is the only one. the pokémon games flopped as usual and there were no mainline Mario or Zelda titles

I can’t speak for Mario Strikers and Switch Sports as i never had any interest in those. As opposed to last year where i only bought Valheim and Metroid Dread.
Honestly, I missed having to take advantage of the Glider from 7. That’s what makes Rock Rock Mountain and 3DS Rainbow Road stood out for me. Having to descend and then ascend to gain height.
If that’s still a thing, we’d still have the hidden item boxes under Saturn’s rings in 3DS’ rainbow road, but sadly MK8DX’s physics doesn’t accommodate for that anymore… That’s the best part of 3DS’s RR

In my humble opinion, 3DS Rainbow Road is the single best course in the entire game. Maybe even in the entire series in general, but to be far, I hadn't played all the MK games yet. But still. No course has ever given me more or a magical feeling than this course. It's fun, creative, and just magical. I wouldn't mind if this course was the last course of the booster course pass. Dare I say, it might have better to put this as the final course than Wii Rainbow Road (that course is still a banger, tho). I can't of a better course than this one. Easiest S-Tier of my life, and my pick for the best course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I hadn’t thought about subscribing to you until now (which I’m even surprised about myself considering the fact I knew your channel for a long time). Again, it was an honor meeting you, a UA-camr I knew for a while, at the time I was there.
They combined Electrodrome with 3DS Rainbow Road, and yeah it’s incredible. Still not one of my personal favourite RR themes, but its still pretty spectacular.

The OG version although it’s pretty always made so calm to make me want to play this track, I like this more upbeat arrangement. Also a big fan of the little skip that does, it el adds it a little more of thrill. Too bad the front-running hides those details a little.
3ds Rainbow Road, or as I like to call it, Electrodrome (Rainbow). Not to be confused with Berlin Byways or Electrodrome (German Dubstep). Point is, I'm glad Nintendo went full synth for this song.
To me there’s a difference between the words Best and Favorite in this case. SNES Rainbow Road is the best because it has lots of speedrun potential and things can get pretty tight by the end of the race. But 3DS Rainbow Road is my favorite because it has great music, a nice track layout that takes you to the moon, and what I think defines a Rainbow Road track, the feeling of it being a send off to a Mario Kart Game. I’m so glad that Nintendo decided to bring this one back.
I'm obsessed with this track. I play it every time, even now in Mario Kart 8. It's a childhood gem for me because I grew up with 7 (and Wii). I even say, "I own this track" when I'm playing with others 😂

3ds Rainbow Road, or as I like to call it, Electrodrome (Rainbow). Not to be confused with Berlin Byways or Electrodrome (German Dubstep). Point is, I'm glad Nintendo went full synth for this song.

To me there’s a difference between the words Best and Favorite in this case.
SNES Rainbow Road is the best because it has lots of speedrun potential and things can get pretty tight by the end of the race.
But 3DS Rainbow Road is my favorite because it has great music, a nice track layout that takes you to the moon, and what I think defines a Rainbow Road track, the feeling of it being a send off to a Mario Kart Game.
I’m so glad that Nintendo decided to bring this one back.

I'm obsessed with this track. I play it every time, even now in Mario Kart 8. It's a childhood gem for me because I grew up with 7 (and Wii). I even say, "I own this track" when I'm playing with others 😂
