Andrew - Can’t wait to see the fuel going in and hearing it fire up. Another great and interesting episode. You should be very proud of your work, this car is immaculate! 🙏👌 Peter ☘️
Just love how nicely the car is coming together. Your OCD is certainly paying off with this build in how good the car is looking. Cannot wait to hear it fire up 👍👍
I just got completely caught up with your build and am excited to start watching your videos as soon as they come out. As someone who is also working on a project car (Locost 7), your meticulous process is motivation for me to pay attention to the details. I've already gleaned several pieces of inspiration from your build to use on my own and look forward to seeing your car come together. Keep up the fantastic work!
i think you are doing a bang up job and i cant wait till the next installment. The way you worked out the fuel hose issue was great. like i have said before not a big fan of the color but it is growing on me, and with some stripes it bet it will look like a million bucks. keep up the great work and i will be watching for the next one.
Looking great Andrew. Love the new silicone hoses, much better than the old ones. Took me a while to click why you needed two fuel pumps...then the penny dropped. LOL
You've done a GREAT job so far!!! Only suggestion I would make would be to ditch the 45*'is butt weld in your fuel filler line and use only a straight section with a 45* silicone hose couplers vs the straight silicone hose. . .
Coming along very nicely Andrew as per the norm. Quick question, was there any thought given during your early planning stages and thoughts to having your car converted to the one fuel filler cap design as found on the later MK 1's? In essence you would then have "self-leveling cross-over" fuel tanks. However, like you I love the iconic fuel filler caps so if one is nice two is certainly better!! 😊
It's yet another thing on mine that I've probably overthought@@RatchetRebuilds! My concern has been that in the case of a crash the fuel will try and escape through the filler caps (see the classic photo, google "GT40 Crash Test 1967" to find it) so making sure the hose connections are as secure as they can be! Although of course from the looks perspective they're (hopefully) never ever going to be seen again once you've buttoned up the fuel filler area.
very clean and tidy, watched a few videos now, not alot of actual making things.... its like this is what i made earlier. blue peter fashion..... show us your fabrication making skills .love the build though
You are definitely obsessive about keeping it looking as simple as possible under the clams. I think this is the first build I have ever seen with the pumps and filter hidden away under a panel. You mention the fuel hose being E10 compatible, so do you intend to run it on E10? I thought this can cause problems with other fuel system components such as the carbs, but I may be wrong and would appreciate your thoughts. I’m using Esso super E5 which I’m told is supposedly zero ethanol for this reason, but blimey it’s getting very expensive at c £1.80 / litre!
Thanks as always Doc :-) regarding the e5 / e10 I'm sure a tank here or there of either really isn't going to make much difference to the life of things considering how few tanks of dinosaur juice we actually get through in a summers worth of driving
Mate loving the OCD, when the camera is showing what's new the background is showing all that gorgeous riveting and panel works

I can't begin to imagine that day just yet!! Will be nerve-racking that's for sure!!
I enjoy the tidiness of all of your stages of construction. Always entertaining.
Thanks William, I try! So many things I could of done differently or better now knowing the processes!
As always, super clean and tidy. From fillers to pumps it all looks fantastic. Waiting for the next episode already.
Thanks Charlie! All being well, videos will be coming on a weekly basis for the foreseeable

Your attention and foresight is incredible. Getting closer buddy

Sterling work as always, and great to have a brief chat at Stoneleigh, looking forward to seeing the car there next year! :-)
Ah Alastair!! Great to meet you although briefly :-) I hope you put an order in for your own 40 soon and get a UA-cam channel fired up!
Looking great Andrew. Love the new silicone hoses, much better than the old ones. Took me a while to click why you needed two fuel pumps...then the penny dropped. LOL
Yup, twice the cost at the petrol station!!
Very clean and tidy, looks fantastic.
Thank you!
Super sano build , other G.T. 40 channels ( Late Brake etc. ) take note. Even your shop looks like a clean room !
Thanks Kevin
Hard Up show have started with a very crappy and rusty car and I doubt it will ever get to this Standard.
could watch for hours, well done
Thank you!

They are part of the Tornado kit, they do the job just nicely ;-)
wow! nice project! cheers from Italy!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice looking job.
Thanks :-)
You say OCD, I say Perfection.
Thanks Tony

In all honesty absolutely zero thought! haha
Slightly surprised you didn't use the Mikalor Supra type hose clamps rather than the worm drive ones.
I had a millions choices..... I waste enough time pondering over details as it is haha, these JCS clamps will do the job :-)

Watch all the videos, there's plenty of fab work shown along the way

What is the tank capacity?
Rayrim NR range of adhesive lined heat shrinkable edging strip give a good edge protection.
No idea on the tank size to be honest Peter, they're standard Tornado tanks however. Thanks for the tip on the edging, I'll look into there products
