@@Ryezn5057There are many different types of shoulder pads ranging from broad to natural. If you have no padding or structure in your coat at all, it will look narrow and dull. They give your silhouette a sharpness.
I thought so too. 😢 The jacket was nice, but it made it seem like his head was too big for his shoulders. If he was that thin, I suppose I'd never dress him in anything lighter than navy, and I'd make the lapels of the jacket thinner. Also I'd make the inner shirt and the jacket in one really close colorscheme so that his head would appear smaller
At last a nice comfortable fitted jacket. Hate the trend of wearing jackets that look 2 sizes too small and buttons would pop if you moved suddenly or ate a sandwich.
Ikr. I don’t understand the trend especially if the suit was extremely expensive, why not just get the right size? I know that I tend to size up on most clothes but that’s a comfort thing and still growing so they last longer but I don’t understand the 2 sizes too small.
Nice video. I've subscribed. I liked the sleeve length. Some people these days promote a shorter length but I prefer yours. I might have liked the jacket a bit longer in the body length.
Where does the gentleman in the video work out of? Please tell me NYC. For the life of me, I can not find someone who I can relate to and I feel I can relate to this person.
Hey the armoury, how many more inches should a jacket have in the chest/waist area compared to body measurements to achieve the kind of fit you guys advocate? (assuming the cut is right for body type ofc) Thanks !
What about trousers? You only mention the blazer. I never wear a blazer all day, however trousers I don’t just take off - of course... What are you thoughts on the fit of the trousers regarding width, length etc
I have a question as Ive never had a suit in my life and I was fitting a suit I had made. I noticed that when the jacket is buttoned, I couldn’t raise my hand higher than 70degrees sideways. It is an italian jacket. Is this normal or should I alert my tailor? It feels like I couldnt do a raise the glass or a simple twirl of a dance partner this way. Please advise? Or should it be unbuttoned in such cases (seems to me I would like it unbuttoned or not wear it so I wont feel constricted.
Yes, the armholes are probably too low (a common trend nowadays). Hard to correct if the suit is already made. Here's a good article on the matter parisiangentleman.co.uk/academy/the-armscye-height-secret-a-crucial-detail/ If you want to see people being able to move their arms around, Google "high armholes suit".
at this point, get this guy in the gym and a better barber before spending some money on the suit. Seems more like a child than a man. the suit can wait.... no suit will not fix what he is lacking in his current physique

what is the tie that Jan is wearing here?
I find a wider lapel and structured shoulder more appealing on a weaker frame. Very subjective though
very weak frame
I'd have to agree wholeheartedly.
@@Ryezn5057 Are these suits made for children?

There is more than one structure type. A natural shoulder is better than a soft shoulder. This type of garment is complimented by structure.
These are some beautiful suits
Yo seriously, this video is the best one on youtube for how to spot a right-fitted suit jacket.
I wish I could go work for the armoury & just learn
Really good video! I love niche info videos like this.
The jacket seems functional. The effect of the shoulders in proportion to the size of his head, however.... I think of a bobblehead.

I thought it looked fine
That's just him. It has nothing to do with the coat.
@@tatlertom3090It does. Classic fit is king.

He needs a navy suite for war..
Classic😂
Very well done. Post more videos of Tuxedos and 3 piece suits. Thanks. rc

Well put together video. Awesome garment philosophy.

Very good to see the suit how I get the suit from m u kindly how much the price and size

That’s a great fit for sure
It is a great fitting jacket but I would say the lack of any shoulder padding is a bit fashion forward, makes his head look big.
I need to come to this place. Cheers from Northern Cali
What kind of tie is that?

if arms are put infront and at the back of the shoulder and the back the material feels thigh does that mean that the jacket is small?

These guys are all about playing it safe.
Not about trendiness.
The Italian styling is all about trendiness. Some people like this understated look.
My guy basically said nothing with a lot of words. "The jacket should be loose but tight. Round but square. The sleeves just so."
He said it all, hater. Classic fit is king. Keep wearing them tights and ripping your clothes.
So
He just gotta a spare X Box controller lying around?
Dapper!
A well fitting jacket should not need to be tugged into shape.
Stupid.

?
Is that customer a man or a fish? Or perhaps a man/fish hybrid?
The model had no chest!
NO.
The suit he has on is to big so not good advice suits should start of tight because wool stretches
I think he needs a ton of padding because he doesn't shoulders, making the suit look too big.

Sorry but your own suit jacket looked a size or two too large. Sleeves are way too baggy too.
