Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: the whole book is the story of a dad and son on a motorcycle ride, while the dad wrestles with "What gives anything Quality?" Fantastic.

The best eight minutes of interview of Jerry Seinfeld ever. I've never heard someone nail his expression in scenes in Seinfeld -- and then have him acknowledge it as true!

Neal, I recently watched your Netflix comedy specials. I greatly appreciate your vulnerability, your words, and of course the laughter! My father was also a narcissist. He disinherited me and his young grandson (my son). He died a couple years ago. It has been heartbreaking and quite challenging to say the least. Thank you Neal!! I really really appreciate you. Your specials helped me feel better.

That’s unfortunate your father would do that. Hope you have found peace with it all

Excellent? Maybe I’ll check it out. I love Jerry’s standup and of course the show, but I’m not sure he has moviemaking abilities.

It's the other way around. Larry David wasn't shit until Seinfeld tapped him to help him write his sitcom. Jerry was already one of the biggest stand-up acts. The top of the mountain in standup back then, was the Tonight show, and he had dozens of appearances. That's the entire reason networks were offering hims sitcom deals.
Larry David, in the other hand, was a failed standup and hadn't had any success in screen writing. He wrote on Fridays and SNL, and he never even got a sketch he wrote in the air.
Larry turned out to be a genius sitcom writer on Seinfeld, but he still owes his entire career to Jerry. Not the other way around.

Terrible interviewing, he should just chat with Jerry. The questions were just a way of leading the conversation towards a certain topic. He’d be better off just saying, “ok, now lets talk about…”. He keeps asking a question then giving detailed options of what he guesses Jerry’s answer will be. As an interviewer that's a terrible approach, even as a host it’s not something you want to do much because you invited the guest to hear what they think. As a couple of friends chatting its fine but for viewers its still better to avoid doing that.
