Much love, Brotha!! I was just thinking about changing my lighting this week! I can't deal with ring lights anymore. This looks like the perfect solution. So THANK YOU! I will definitely purchase one.
Hey, Joe! I’m liking it a lot. Of course, If I had to choose, I’d get the GVM 100w with the lantern attachment. It’s a bit more expensive, but it’s more flexible. That being said, I’m digging this light, too.
I bought this light and indeed, it works well, but not so much for people who wear eye glasses. The lights cause a reflection in the eye glasses. Do you have any ideas how I can avoid this?
Glasses make things a bit trickier. If the light is too close to the camera, glasses act like a mirror that reflects back into the lens. You can work around this by moving the light farther to the side, or higher up so that the reflection doesn’t bounce into the camera. In my case, I’ve mounted the light higher up in front of me. The light shines down on me from about a 45 degree angle above. So you can imagine the reflected light from any glasses would reflect down onto the desk below the camera.
Great review!
Thanks, Nadine!
