I’m from Michigan and my bologna of choice is Koegels. (It’s a Michigan brand) My family loves ours fried or just rolled up with cheese. Thank you Sara ❤️
Depends on the bologna. Sweet Lebanon don't need much. A little kiddy mustard evens out. To each their own. Whoop is good, too . There is a lot of haters of the Miracle. It's personal preference. I like the whoop on B.L.T'S. Just my opinion.

We made fried bologna once in a while but we never added grease to the pan first since so much comes out of bologna and I always want to press between paper towels. A little less brown than you like yours Sara with dukes Mayo on fresh white bread. Yum! Haven’t had one in a long time.
Yes, no added pan oil, and then blotting first to get lingering oils removed and a more crispy result to go along with 'my' toasted bread. For a heartier sandwich, a toasted steak roll with mayo.... Be still my heart.... YUMMMMM
This takes me back 40 years. We lived in Canada & were travelling through West Virginia. We saw “fried bologna sandwich” on a menu and ordered it for our then 4 year old son. He talks about the deliciousness to this day. I remember it was thick sliced bologna on a toasted hamburger bun.
This brings me back so many memories. We use to fry bologna all the time. My brother and I would eat a bologna sandwich. I don't remember ever having it between cheese, that looked so good. We also had peanut butter and jelly. We also toast our bread and melt some butter on the bologna. My husband said his dad would make breakfast and fry the bologna first and then add the egg. He said he never liked it, not even today, but I do. What I noticed when I was growing up foods use to taste so much better than today. I haven't eat bologna for a long time but when I go to the grocery store it just doesn't look the same as I remember it as a child. Nothing is the same, not even chocolate. It taste very waxy today.

I cut a line into all four sides so it doesn’t curl up but I have never fried my bologna in oil. It’s greasy enough on its own. I like mine fried, no oil, then in fresh white bread with either just mustard and raw onions or just Dukes mayonnaise and raw onions which is how my grandkids like it.
