yeah I think when the tentacles are in red mode they are set to “receive” time code from external source. Generally though, I would imagine you’d want them all synced so syncing all makes the most sense to me!
When you set one Tentacle (ie your Master) via the “Set Phone Time” and then hit Sync to This Device, the rest of the devices will sync up no problem. Similar results can be attained with a cable. The thing to avoid is tapping each one in the app and syncing them to the phone time individually. I don’t think too many people would make this mistake but I felt it was still worth mentioning for those new to this workflow. Thanks for the question!
@@nicolasfieldsoundservices In the Tentacle app I just click the big sync button when I see all my devices are connected via Bluetooth. I always use TOD TC. So is that the wrong way which could cause an offset? Better to sync one Tentacle to time of phone and then the rest to that specific Tentacle?
Thanks for this video! At 04:17 Do you know if there is any difference between hitting 'sync all' vs 'sync red mode only?

Hmm.. You say that if Tentacle devices are synced straight from the phone (as a batch sync?) they are not in sync with your phone or to each other?

Why not sync all over BT with just a single press of a button? @@nicolasfieldsoundservices
Totally. That’s what I meant by “sync to this device”. I do this at 04:17 in the video :)
I use only that main clock icon on the bottom to sync all at once without going into specific devices controls.
