Wow!! I bought a set of Solo Motorsports LCA's .These moved the lower ball joint 1" forward. I also got a set of ICON UCA's with the Delta joint. These moved the upper ball joint 1/4 inch forward. The 35's fit without all this cutting/welding. The windshield washer fluid bottle died YEARS AGO and was moved to where the battery used to live. I have dual batteries (Optima) in the rear where the spare tire USED to go.This moves about 35 pounds of weight (one battery) from the extreme FRONT of the truck and , ADDS about 70 pounds (two batteries)to the extreme REAR of the truck. BIG DIFFERENCE in weight distribution!! You're thinking is good Dude!! Your skills are A+!! BTW....I had to re-gear the diffs from the factory 4.88:1 to 5.60:1 after this. Now 4-low gets me about 5 mph with the motor at 4k rpm. YEAH.. I can only do about 75 mph(3500 rpm) on the freeway (in overdrive) but, I really have no business going much faster because I cannot SWERVE or STOP for anything going faster than that, without DISASTER!!!! YOU GO!! Tacoma RULES!!!
@@Marley505 it is 100% needed to trim both. I’m sure if you got extended bump stops it would limit the trimming up top. Everything I did is to clear while fully stuffed mind you. 👍🏼
Man I go on UA-cam like once a week looking for a guide and finally someone shows how it’s done! I’m playing on doing the same this month. How long did it take u start to finish?I’ve already got the fenders off just waiting on my tires to show up.
@@Russianrybakov sweet thanks so much I was expecting something similar! Is there anything you wish you knew from the start that would have saved you time! Appreciate the response!
I planned, but forgot to pre-soak the suspension fasteners with penetrate. Otherwise it went pretty smooth. Preferably I would’ve liked to replace the UCA at the same time had I known the condition of my ballpoints.
Hi there, sorry for the late reply! I used a small reciprocating saw with a combination square to measure out the 1.5” cut for the flares! And touched the fender up just a little higher.
@@Russianrybakov I was just about to ask the same question. I'm thinking of just building mine as well and doing a flat maroon powder coating. Great looking setup.
Boss, only the insurance makes that change to your tittle. They salvage it when they feel that the damage is 50% or more of the car value. Different states the % changes. Other than that u can do anything to your personal car and tittle won’t change.
Hey how you doing man, Your doing exactly what I want to do to mine, it’s identical to yours 03 Tacoma extended cab trd limited, problem is, us I got rust, mid frame the leaf spring broke right off, got the parts for both sides and stiffeners, I’m beside myself with it,1,48000 miles doesn’t leak a drop of anything, want to buy it
Finally someone that makes videos and likes the slappers of that West coast music 🔥

Not many people know this but 35's will fit on a stock Tacoma no problem...
Just drop the tailgate and put them in the bed.
Hell yeah dude! Been wanting to make the jump to 35s but haven’t since mine is my daily driver. We need more videos of the rig forsure
That was a lot of work but you did it in a very logical way. Great job.
Scarab Off-road makes a washer reservoir relocate for $100 if you’re trying to keep your washer jets working :)
Great video!!!!
I’ll look into it thanks!
You’re video helped a lot! Gonna be trying this soon when I go 35s
came for the SR content, stayed for the taco content. thinking about doing 35s on my 3rd gen 4runner and this makes me want to do it a lot more
Welcome! Get those 35’s!
@@Russianrybakov are those 315/75/16? cant tell if theyre 17s or not
@@salami_tom they are 17’s
was it really necessary to cut the fender and flare? or could you replace that by using an extended bumpstop?

nice! such a clean job. What is the offset of those RRW wheels? It looks like -12 or -25
-12 with a 1.5” spacer
17k views..I think you gotta post more first Gen tacoma videos 😅
Working on it! Life has kept me busy lately😅
Those wheels look absolutely incredible..
Jamming while Jamming 35's on a 1st gen. Can't go wrong 🔥🌮
Walk around your bed rack looks great
Very good job i am looking forward this job to what Did you do for thé windshield washer tank ?
I trimmed the tank to clear while the shock was out, and set it aside to modify later in time. Planning to plastic weld a smaller piece in
Need more video of the truck out for the trail super clean love your work

Awesome. what wheels are those?
Quick question I have put to many new things on my Tacoma 2004 put there a sound that never goes away that goes clunk clunk those your ever do that ?
beautiful work
My 03 4 door 4wd has a 3 inch lift do i srill need to cut if i go 35s? I got a good deal on a set i just haven't tried it yet
You’ll need to hammer your pinch welds at a minimum to drive around town. If you want to go off road, you will need to start cutting!
How much did you remove of the fender flares and what tool did you use to mark out the section and cut the fenders and flares? Cut out came out clean

What bed rack is that???
I made it! Custom!🙂

how much total lift is in the front?
The truck has a 2.5” lift all around from the previous owner. OME/DAKAR rear leaf pack, with bilstein shocks all around.
What about clearance for when the tires are stuffed or for general travel like turning while going over rock or ruts
Didn't you watch the video?
Thats what he did, 😅
Nice work! With the shop and skills you might as well do a proper SAS and go 37s or 40s instead!
Does this remove a lot of area in the foot wells I have a manual and want to know if I’ll still have full throw?
@@liamsilvia460 I have plenty room for my clutch pedal, and use the new material as sort of a “dead pedal” for my foot

VERY cool.. would like to know what suspension you're running.

What offset do those rims have? And what size wheel spacer are you using?
Sorry for the late reply! Rims are 17x8.5 -12 offset. And 1.5” wheel spacers.

That cut make the car salvage title ???

The grille comes out first not the side makers. Learned that mistake at first with my taco too.

What’s the mileage on the beauty?
I’m getting about 13 average. I do a lot of city miles, freeway is closer to 17
Nice work !
That’s one tighttt fit
More tacos 🌮 please
Where can I buy that same bed rack?
I made the bed rack myself unfortunately
Good work brother 👌
Thanks Gerb!
This looks stock. Amazing work
Thank you!
Give the truck a 6 inch lift then put on the 35 tires
Why would you want to make the center of gravity higher than necessary, if you have the means to trim a few things?
Is this a 2wd Tacoma?
No. At 2:27 you can see a drive shaft which would send power to the wheel 4wd is engaged
Stock gears?
Yes stock gears. Truck drives fine unless you’re going over a pass.
I’m about to get new tires, that’s why I’m asking

Solid!!
those rrw rims are so sexy 🥵
Listen I ain’t tootin my own horn but my 98 stock height is on 35s no rubbing 😅 with no cutting or anything
Hi
bro has to take apart the whole truck to put in 35s
way better to change it to solid axle move forward and a lift...
