Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout returns to his after school "Anatomy of Historic Figures of the 18-Whatevers" class to get some extra-curricular brooding in. The cool, crisp air of freedom taunts him from the outside, mocking him and the curse keeping him from leaving school grounds for any reason besides fighting and murdering Hell-Satans.
Little does Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout know that time is eating away at his backside, as a sinister entity from another dimension is closing in on him. A figure that is so deeply entwined with our hero, that he doesn't even know he exists!
Or maybe he just doesn't care. Honestly, I think the guy just wants to learn about the body hairs of US presidents instead of fighting demons that want to beat up school girls.
Regardless, I don't' wanna give away any more than the title, the promotional poster, the preview from last episode, the collectable statue wave for this season, the full synopsis of every character we put up on the website, and the children's tie-in story book we published two months before the season started already told you. You're totally gonna shit your pants once you find out that those two are brothers.

Wait I thought the Seagull Prince affair was covered in the ova of the 4th season box set along with Rear-admiral fights parents revealing Doctor medic was his cousin.

Wow. I hate how they made Seagull-chan’s moment when she finally overcomes her muteness caused by her childhood trauma of sharks eating her family (forcing her to then be raised by seagulls) into a moment of comedy. In the manga, its this big dramatic thing and they just gloss over it here for a joke. Typical English dubs.
Not really, they just chop it up into bits in a meager attempt to "extend" her character arc. In reality, what they really end up doing is turning it into a incohesive mess. Massively disappointing, so much, so that I ended up dropping the show for a good three months.
I'm not a fan Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout-Nai's color pallete. I personally prefer the manga's pallete of green hoodie and dark blue bicorn. And in my opinion his voice actor from the fighting game, "Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout: Fight for The Big Ugly Boy" did a much better job portraying his character. However, the animation for this episode is impeccable, and BNHPS's "Push of Inconvenience" was perfectly adapted. 9/10 overall.

At this point BNHPS is fully aware of the stupid world he's forced to reside in, and all the dumb anime cliches he has no choice but to interact with and only begrudgingly makes token efforts to stop people taking his life or ending the world. And if he could find anything other than Hot Topics he'd stop wearing edgy hoods.

Case in point; while before he'd feel pressured to make bombastic attacks to defeat his opponents, now he's realized that as the protagonist he literally can't lose no matter what he does, even if it makes absolutely no sense.
The extended universe's plot is really starting to come together.

The best episode since BNHSPS had his head trapped in the raving hoboman dimension that was possesing Rear Admiral Fight's ass.
Eh I thought the return of the muffins arc was pretty good. I mean yeah the muffins had lost all their power ever since Banana-rama-sama ate one of them, but that bit where BNHSPS actually had to team up with him showed a potential for a new ally far in the future. I always think it's good that even the villains get characterization.
The OAV made in macaroni pictures was still better
Did anyone else catch the subtle nod to the 2001 fighting game by depicting the mother in her alternate color scheme that she used as the secret final boss? It's these nice little touches that make me appreciate having been a fan of this series for so long.

I’m just imagining the in the time of when Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour-Scout got up from his desk and when Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour-Scout-Nai fell over, it was separated in to 4 episodes, so each episode was like, 4 seconds.
That, or it was four full episodes of reaction shots, flashbacks and overly-detailed analysis of what just happened. Not to mention the re-caps of "last time, on Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout!".
As well as one episode that started off in the dentist's office and then flashbacked to Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour-Scout getting up out of his desk to help explain why Seagull-chan was late. It's a very deep anime.
ATetrisBlock And another episode is just a still image of Brooding-Ninja-High-School-Parkour Scout about to push Brooding-Ninja-High-School-Parkour-Scout-Nai over, and the only sound is someone screaming, All for 22 minutes.
I mean, it was like this in original Japanese version. In English they manage to get all of this into a single one, the one that comes after this one.
BNHP Scout looks so confused during the entire ordeal.

Man, this was the last good story arc in this anime for a long while. It wasn't until this series came to an end that it became worth watching again.
Are you kidding? Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour-Scout-Nai was the worst part of this entire show. He killed the series and made the Macguffin Muffins practically pointless. He just wasted our time with a constantly growing, convoluted, and contradictory backstory as well because he was so useless in a fight.

But wait, Betty hasn't achieved the "Vocal Chords of Snark" until season 5 episode 94 when Rear regurgitated in her throat before he died. Is this a special edition where they gave her that ability much earlier in the seasons?
Its actually revealed in volume 627 of the manga that she was able to tap into the vocal cords of snark for just a moment here because of the extreme stress she was going through over potentially being late for her dentist appointment.
Ah yes- that was a good issue.

Okay then. So is the Space Goat revealed here connected to, in any way, to the Space Goat that's part of Dark Lord Bananarama's six Hell-Generals? We learn that Bananarama has a powerful Space Goat as part of his six Hell-Generals during the MacGuffin Muffins arc (although it never took part in any battle). And it seems that Bananarama's Space Goat is now a heavy plot point in the recent chapters of the manga. I'm curious to see if Bananarama purposely sent his Space Goat back in time to kidnap Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout's twin brother to prevent them from learning the Fusion technique in the future. Rear Admiral Fights DOES discover the Book of Brooding, the book that contains the secret history and ancient techniques of Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout's family line after the MacGuffin Muffin arc. And it did take a few arcs for Rear Admiral Fights to decipher a single page that just so happened to contain the Fusion technique. I have a feeling that Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout's twin brother may return as a possible ally, and may be the key to defeating Bananarama. But unless there's something else I overlooked about the Book of Brooding, I feel that this may be that happens in the future. What do you think?

But during the 150 chapter long battle during the MacGuffin Muffins arc did anyone notice that their are Space Goats Hiding in the shadows thought the duration of the Fight? And notice How some of them Are wearing a strange Apple shaped pendent? I believe that maybe Lord Bananarama and His generals are being manipulated by a power worshiped by the space goats that is trapped in the space goat dimension and requires Brooding Ninjas power to release it.
I would watch this series.

I mean, I feel you, but I think that Season 12 had a serious redemption factor in the form of Freedom-Fighting-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-Owner-Engineer. Yeah, he was a flagrant marketing ploy, but you can't look at a man with a cigar (or I guess if you're a dub slave, a mozzarella stick) in his mouth and dreams of liberation and be totally unmoved.
It was that mozzarella-stick censor that single-handedly revitalized Little Caesar's back then!

The fact that there are canon immigrants from the ps2 games like the brother and how they dismissed the ”Mexican-Japanese misadventures” arc from the manga which had a lot of character development, less fanservice and actual good action (SPOILERS the katana becomes a banana due to bananarama’s curse and shows the pathethic loser our protagonist was from the very beginning) shows seasonal rot and decay.

Yeah, but what the hell happened to Apple-Cherry Jerry's promise to give Rear-Admiral Fights the $20 that he owed him? Fights' personality shows that he doesn't let anything get by him because that's exactly how his Dad walked by him as a toddler, walking out of the house with his harlequin-baby sister in hand to sacrifice her to a tree. Because his Dad did that AND didn't come home until after 9:00 left a huge impression on Admiral. I swear, the writing has really gone to shit since the Bananarama arc.

I'm glad this comic relief villain gets some justice in the end after gaining a drop of the true sauce. Shame about the cliffhanger and he's still nowhere near powerful enough to destroy Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout, but I'm really rooting for Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour Scout-Nai.
Brooding-Ninja-Highschool-Parkour-Scout-Nai was better represented in the manga. Even in the sub he got way more character, like how his inner thoughts were spoken with a lisp.

I know it's probably not and just a naming joke but we'd support the shit out of a series of this, although I guess the point is show how absolutely convoluted some anime gets with their plot and making a storyline out of it would defeat the purpose, but ya know, Id pay 3 dollars for it

The 'SUBALUWA' was the only saving grace. This season was just absolutely garbage. to think that this guy stuck around for so long and his backstory got that convoluted. And no, that isn't a spoiler. The entire internet knows how ridiculous this guy's backstory gets.

Brooding Ninja Mom is low key hot.
God, the dialogue got some much worse after the Samurai Werewolf Demo saga. After that every time they spoke it was like all you could hear were various grunts. The only way you could even tell what they were saying was to either use subtitles, but it still didn't help as much. Betty got the worst of it though. She contributed so much and had so much character development, she was actually able to walk to school without getting captured every 3 feet, but then all of that just gets thrown away and now it's like all she can do is look pretty and squawk. Seriously, just read the manga, you will thank yourself later.
I already like the edgy main side character that will obviously become BNHP scout's rival
