My problem with google play emulator is that i cant change the instalation directory and the default one keep on saying "not anough space" (i've 708 GB free on the hard disk). And on mobile my device after a while keeps on crashing and does not allow me to play reclamation, sss, IS and a lot of event stages. And all emulators seem to not be working normaly "even nox and memu wich are the smootest i've tried keep on freezin after a while. So yes a pc client would save me cuz i dont wanna quit the game because of frustration.
I say yes if only because I kinda want it to boot faster. Arknights is a very slow boot for a gacha (multiple confirm buttons) and the added step of running an emulator and clicking the game itself just to get in is troublesome. It'd also probably perform better in general on a native client.
I only play Arkights on my pc with google play beta or on my mac with play cover. It's running well but it's missing some QoL and visuals are a little bit blurry on my 24" 2k screen ^^ I would love a real pc/mac client !
as someone who came from Bloons as well, I agree! I feel like the game would def interest a lot of players if it happens to show up on Steam, but only time can tell if a pc client is even going to be a thing lmao
Arknights is a game that i play 70% on the phone. But i need the PC client. For many things such as : 1. Better resolution. Playing at 1440p will be helpful during an intense map or a long duration map such as IS or RA. Compared to standard event maps, those requires a lot of attention, and there are more texts to read. 2. Hopefully, also a better sound recording. Do you know if the Arknights sound album and in the game sound variant has different sound quality? I'm playing them both with at the Google play beta, in my PC. I'm using monitor speakers. And I'm not talking the EP songs, but the regular base BGM. I believe it was made by Bao Uner. Arknights size in my phone is 11GB. It almost rivals GFL2 and Snowbreak at 15GB. So if someone claim the game size argument, it is fair. It eclipses Memento Mori which only 3, and BA with 8GB. If someone can't play AK just because mouse doesn't translate well, it is a skill issue. I had a 'friend' who actually lose 3 times because of this, during the OD-1, the very first tutorial mission. Hypergryph has every monetery might to do so. It is a no excuse.
The worst part about emulators is that on windows they are soaked with adds and bullshit, except for google play but that one has almost no features. On linux there is waydroid which has no ads and bullshit, but also lacks keyboard and mouse mapping, i have to use a in-emulator app for that. But more importantly for me, the UI could look way better if it didnt have to conform to small devices. So if they ever make a pc client, i hope its not just "it now runs on PC natively" but also a UI and input overhaul.
PC client would be nice. Though I don't have pc, only low end laptop. So that's why I only play mobile for now. Probably CN players also need to ask PC client too so HG will take note of it and implement it later.
But, Kukki, that's not the right question. Or rather, it shouldn't be a question at all. Arknights *needs* a native client. Any emulator is always a performance loss especially on weak hardware and potential bugs within the emulator itself
@@DoctorArknights000 Means he prolly had that PC rig long and occasionally upgrades it. I was semi in the same situation where my phone wasn't up to par anymore with the latest updates for Arknights, yet I have a really good PC (no shit, it's my work pc) that can a lot of heavy games well.
I think the strongest argument for getting a PC port is game size, all mobile games and gacha games are getting crazy big and it might soon be too big for many phones to run without running the consumers $500 every few years for a new phone.
Y'all going on about google play beta have to realize that it's still an emulator at the end of the day and very prone to crashing. Since an emulator emulates an usually android environment(shocking I know), there will be like a kind of multiplication of operations compared to original devices(it's a lot better since mobile games are meant to be very light computationally but arknights it can be on the heavier side of mobile games). Creating a PC client would fix this issue and arknights being run on unity should make the port a lot easier, implementation of new PC specific features like keybinds shouldn't be too bad. I do wonder about needing to upscale assets but emulators don't look bad so unlikely Yostar will need to do that. I don't anything needs to be said about Arknights ads which makes the chances of actually pulling in new players unlikely.
Well true, reading so far from people's experience with google play beta. And it seems like you actually need a decently good PC to even get it to run properly. Frankly I run that fine and dandy, but then again my PC is also my work pc where I do a lot of video editing and 3d modelling... And you really need a good PC to even render anything 3d... >.>; Emulating any game even on bluestacks, requires you to have a fairly strong PC to even run it smoothly. The coding aspect should be by HG and Yostar only does the publishing and the man power with the servers needed to keep operations running. A smart move is to actually put the game on steam to pull in more players. Also more players can pay for the premium currency via steam wallet. Since that's easier to get coz you can buy them physically from any store that has them.
my way of saying it, if something goes wrong on google play emulator, the dev has no way to fix it so it can be annoying which PC client remove that problem, and the fact it will be maintain by the dev themself which give closure
Only reason I still used emulator because it has Marco built in it but yeah I rather have PC Client But pls have key blinding option in Pc it like we only have one finger
After playing the ZZZ tower defense minigame on PC where the camera doesnt constantly tilt up and down whenever you click on an operator, Yea we definitely need a PC client, playing without camera tilt feels way more comfortable but not super feasible in mobile
I don't know who to blame, but they can't even manage a mobile version. After Path of Life released the game just hard freezes at the end of the stage XD
I'm not entirely convinced a PC client is necessary. However, if you're on a Mac, Playcover is flawless. I did try playing Arknights on Windows emulators once, and it was a pretty awful experience so there's that argument.
Personally I can't bear to play the game on any mobile device, it just feels awful compared to moving with cursor and keys for buttons. This is the only game I have an emulator for and the rest of the space taken by it is wasted :/ HG keeps trying to make new modes and it being only on mobile is a limitation for both them and the players, RA2 might as well not exist on mobile with the unplayable performance. As much as I love them for trying to make new stuff it's frustrating that they keep doing so without even addressing these things, we NEED to push them to make a client for both the game and the players sakes. In some countries you can't even spend cuz google are a bunch of asshats, if I could actually spend directly I could be whaling but no I'm limited by having to use a friend to spend. Every few months I need to redownload the whole game because google play/emulator or both mess up during update somehow and brick the game, I've had this on multiple emulators. There are so many damn issues with mobile and emulation and they're not going away. This is not just an emulation thing but sometimes updates make you download the entire base APK again instead of just the new files because get fecked I guess, and then either way you still have an ingame download like oh my god what is wrong with this platform. We shouldn't even need all these reasons to have a pc client, literally everything will be better if there is a pc client so they should do it. This is like the one gacha that is more than a braindead mobile game but lacks a pc client, it's absurd.
Arknigjts is a game that begs for a PC port. It plays a lot better with a big screen and a mouse than on a small phone screen. Some modes, like RA, are bordeline unplayable on mobile to me. I used to play on Bluestacks, but it crashed a lot on me. Same with LD. Luckily, Google Play Beta runs really well on my PC, and it also has a more "official" feel to it since it doesn't have intrusive advertisments and stuff, which I appreciate. That being said, it seems a lot of people have issues with it, which is why I think a proper PC port would be the only true solution here. Here's hoping they use Endfield as a chance to give AK a PC client and have both games on the same launcher.
Bro is caring about development cost for a huge multi million dollar company bro. Aether gazer makes less money compared to arknights it still got a pc client
*Why?* Yes. Seriously. *Why?* Arknights is an "on the go" game. That's mean you can play it anytime and anywhere with your phone. Say you are in a rest period between your work time ( Lunch for example), or you are waiting for someone at Starbuck. And the dev build the game around that. That's mean porting the game ino PC is, frankly, useless, since PC is not something you can tuck around for a long time. And trust me, even bringing your laptop around is annoying. Game like Honkai Impact 3rd or Genshin Impact have PC client, because it's basicaly Devil May Cry and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Winds being shoehorned into a mobile game, something the 2 inspiration franchise isn't designed for. For me thenmain benefactor for Arknights PC Client is *streamer and content creator,* since that mean it's convenient for them to create game footage for making video or streaming from their PC. So the answer is *No.* AK doesn't need a PC Client.
Arknights is a game where they don't need pc client, unless you are tryhard player or a content creator or your phone storage is almost full. This game is a perfect mobile game, where every single content in this game only involves three or less click. Example : i've played the whole is4 d15 run when i was in the full crowd train, makes me only use one hand only.
Ya well Arknights is perfect for mobile(perfect for on the go). But considering the long life of a mobile game. HG might consider officially putting it on PC (not just google play beta). I see a lot of benefits going on PC especially publishing on STEAM. As a long time PC game player, I've seen the amount of money people throw in MMOs and effen CoD... >.>; That and I do want my phone to take a break, but I want to farm or yanno.. CC season and they make another heavy chonker mobs that take hours to beat... PC client would be better for that part. Putting it on steam makes it so other players who don't have a CC or pay via any other online method, can actually support the game by getting steam wallet cards from any physical store that sells them.

Yes even a steam port will be nice
I only play Arkights on my pc with google play beta or on my mac with play cover. It's running well but it's missing some QoL and visuals are a little bit blurry on my 24" 2k screen ^^ I would love a real pc/mac client !
as someone who came from Bloons as well, I agree! I feel like the game would def interest a lot of players if it happens to show up on Steam, but only time can tell if a pc client is even going to be a thing lmao
"have you ever had the situation where you're playing the best is run-" No
Arknights is a game that i play 70% on the phone. But i need the PC client. For many things such as :
Ak needs to catch up to the gap with cn
I use google play games beta to play ARKNIGHTS, and yes it needs, am blind some maps I cant play on 7 inches
did i just heard persona 5 ost at the end?
Yes, quick before my mobile go boom!!
ScrCpy, never crashed!!
I think if it came to steam, and you could buy packs from your steam wallet, I'd do that in a heartbeat
Any emulator is always a performance loss especially on weak hardware and potential bugs within the emulator itself
this
i need PC client because emulator decrease my cpu performance always. i have no mobile bcos IM poor
Bruh you have PC but no phone
@@DoctorArknights000 Means he prolly had that PC rig long and occasionally upgrades it. I was semi in the same situation where my phone wasn't up to par anymore with the latest updates for Arknights, yet I have a really good PC (no shit, it's my work pc) that can a lot of heavy games well.
Why is this even a question?? 😭
Yes, we need it. And for steam please, not Epic Store
I think the strongest argument for getting a PC port is game size, all mobile games and gacha games are getting crazy big and it might soon be too big for many phones to run without running the consumers $500 every few years for a new phone.
yeah, i wanted to play Arknights in 4K
the only reason i want arknights client is because all the emulator that I have tried all blue screen a few minute after I open the game
google play beta can solve it too
Of course it does, why is that even a question.
I think Endfield might get more people to try Arknights for the first time, so a PC Client might not be a bad decision.
YES
I would love a PC client.
Of course a PC client would be great.
Yes it needs.
Its HG not Yostar, Yostar just publish they dont do the coding
Epic Seven finally has one so Arknights should have too
I just want the performance. My phone sucks I think and the emulators i've tried just run like crap.
After playing the ZZZ tower defense minigame on PC where the camera doesnt constantly tilt up and down whenever you click on an operator,
Yea we definitely need a PC client, playing without camera tilt feels way more comfortable but not super feasible in mobile
Mineshaft crawl
Yes it does. Next.
I don't know who to blame, but they can't even manage a mobile version. After Path of Life released the game just hard freezes at the end of the stage XD
they have a google play games collab, just use that lmao
I'm not entirely convinced a PC client is necessary. However, if you're on a Mac, Playcover is flawless. I did try playing Arknights on Windows emulators once, and it was a pretty awful experience so there's that argument.
Just played it for the discount on the stores lol
I’m here only for AK, client nice than a emulator 😊
Personally I can't bear to play the game on any mobile device, it just feels awful compared to moving with cursor and keys for buttons.
This is the only game I have an emulator for and the rest of the space taken by it is wasted :/
HG keeps trying to make new modes and it being only on mobile is a limitation for both them and the players, RA2 might as well not exist on mobile with the unplayable performance.
Google play beta is already a thing.
Yes
Google Play Beta works fine, never had a problem with the game itself but my god compared to Steam the game Launcher is just so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad 😭
MINESHAFT CRAWL
I want well optimized client for my goofy ass potato pc
Bro is caring about development cost for a huge multi million dollar company bro. Aether gazer makes less money compared to arknights it still got a pc client
Easy yes
*Why?*
Yes. Seriously. *Why?*
Arknights is an "on the go" game.
Cringe.
Just play on mobile, AK is like the best game to play on mobile compared to all those "high graphics and tech games" I only use emulator to read lmfao
I hate playing games on my phone ngl, no matter the genre. Tried to do an IS run the other day when waiting for a doctor's appointment and it wasn't a great experience.
@@MilkyNep Maybe your phone is outdated lmao, its literally one game that must have in my phone to play in any time, I have poor experience too when I use my old a*s phone and lagging with 60fps
But once I buy new phone and it's run well on heavy game, Arknights is must have for me
@@manyblock4192 it's nothing about the performance. It's just uncomfortable to use for something "serious". Gaming on a phone for me only works for mindless time wasters, not something that requires actual attention or thought.
@@MilkyNep Well the problem then is on you, u just don't like difficult game
Rather playing game, u better Read manga when in free time with Phone
But me personally don't thing Arknights need that hard thinking when playing, unless it's CC or last boss stage
@@manyblock4192 I like difficult games, it's why I play arknights instead of literally any other gacha; it's one of the few that actually put thought into its gameplay
I just don't like playing it on a phone. Which is why an actual PC client instead of scuffed emulators would be amazing.
Yes
